  There's no info on the website.

  BB7 uses the categories of contacts and tasks, but not the events.

  We are looking for our future devices and BB10 looks good for us. but the categories are essential for us.

• Smartphones from blackBerry using 'Categories' with BB email

  I have a number of categories of settings, each containing different partners contacts. I am composing an email, but it seems that only the email addresses of my active category can be seen in the drop-down list when I type a contact name.

  I then "turn off" the active category, expecting to be able to see all my contact email addresses - I have that 'see' the e-mail addresses of the active category.

  This doesn't seem right? What should I do to 'see' all my contacts when you compose an email (regardless of the active category)?

  OK, so if all your filters are not checked, you will compose an email... and you enter the name of the recipient in the To: field... and not all of your choice will appear?

  You have Bob Jones in your contacts on the BlackBerry, as you have 'B o b' etc., that contact does not appear?

• BlackBerry Blackberry classic classic: transfer of categories Contact

  When switched devices to copy my data from my old torch into the classic, it didn't copy the categories in the Contacts (called groups in the classic). Is it possible to copy contact categories? There was a mapping fields in the old office but I not only whether in relationship.

  I'm developing an Application of tasks with Blackberry WebWorks and JavaScript for OS 5.0.0. +.

  The work of JavaScript functions fine base, I can read tasks, organize by categories, read status, uid and so on.

  Create new tasks usually works as well, but: this task which does not work is the award categories to a new or existing.

  Here is the JavaScript code that creates tasks.

  There is a bug in our docs, categories must be an array of strings. I've updated this issue in GitHub https://github.com/blackberry/WebWorks-API-Docs/issues/223 accordingly

  The following simple change should fix.

  newTask.categories = ["DesiredCategory"];

  Hi, I have a Curve 8330 with Alltel. Here is a picture of my problem as you can see I don't see any top free apps. This also happens with the categories section. But the salaries of top works fine.

  I sync with Outlook 2007 and everything seems perfectly until now.

  Most of my contacts have OL categories associated with them.

  Can I display multiple categories at once, or only 1 at a time?

  I have it by default for certain categories?

  If I put in place of the groups in the BB it will affect something in Outlook?

  Groups are easier to use than categories?  So far it does not seem like a quick/easy process to filter by category - takes a few clicks... of missing me something?

  I just got the data and everything on my Bold 9700 of Mobilicity. For some reason, I can't really access the App World.

  Just press (alt - r - s - t) in the screen of the appworld and that should fix your problem.

  Anyway is to assign a ringtone to a category of Contacts rather than set the tone for each individual contact.

  While we are, also, I know that you can set a file in the folder music for a ring tone, but then how do move you to the ringtone folder?

  Hello, we donot have Category option we had on the previous BB. I had all the contacts stored in categories that helped find a particular contact, if I forgot the name. As I had categories for doctors, companies, Hotels, travel etc.

  Hope you can get is back in the next update of OS as Group SMS also.

  I actually see it as an array of strings in my tests with SDK 2.1.  The intention that it should really be a string or an array?
