BlackBerry 10 withdrawal suggested contacts

When I create a new email, there are two suggestions contacts to address: my two bosses. Sometimes, somehow everything by entering an address and pressing it to confirm, it selects one of my bosses and I send them an email to someone else who is extremely embarrassing. How to stop these suggestions of projection up to it please, or at least change that rises.

You can delete the suggestions by going on the hub, tap > > recent Contact Management > delete recent Contacts.

  • BlackBerry Z10 Suggestet Outlook Contacts are more than 1000 Contacts in the address book...

    Hello guys,.

I have a Z10 and it's synchronizedwith my Outlook-Exchange account. The problem is that all Outlook Contacts suggested (which mean all contacts who have never emailed to me, or each Contact I ever send an email to) goes directly to my contact list. The result is that I have more than 1000 Contacts, many of them twice or three times. It's really untudy, and it is difficult to find Contacts.

Is there an option on the Z10 it does not synchronize Outlook Contacts suggested?

That what I don't want to do is to disable suggested Contacts in Outlook itself, because you have to.

    Thank you in advance,

    Greetings

Hi BlackBerry community! Does anyone know how to clear the contacts that appear under "Suggested" when I go to share a photo?

I think the feature is here to clear your history of research of device, so there must be a way to do it, too. But I am stumped!

Unfortunately, there is not a way to clean them.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Caller ID contacts Blackberry Q10.

    Hi all

I recently got a Blackberry of Q10 to test our society.

    Here I used a BB Bold 9900.

I used BB Protect and Blackberry Desktop to make a form of backup the 9900.

Then I restored everything and everything is very good and works perfectly.

The only problem is when someone form the old form of contacts the BB9900 I restored it to give me a call, I do not see a caller ID. And when somebody that I added on the Q10 give me a call I see the caller ID.

Does anyone have a solution for this?

Sorry for my bad English (it is not my native language)

    -Thanks Vincent.

    Hello! You are welcome.

I checked online and it had the same questions about the peripheral BB10 running previous software. I guess it's a question about this specific operating system.

I suggest you upgrade your operating system to 10.2.0.1047

  • Desktop of blackBerry Smartphones and software Contacts Calendar?

    Hi all

I just changed to a Treo 680 for the Blackberry Bold.

First situation: Palm had office who had a calendar, contacts, media, etc all on the desktop that was attached to the phone.  Just put the phone in the dirty and hot-sync to update the computer or the phone...

Now, the Blackberry Desktop doesn't have an option of calendar or contacts.  Obviously, the phone itself has a calendar and contacts.

Question: Is there a download I can buy for a calendar / contacts application?

That's all I need essentially.  I don't have Outlook, but I tried the evaluation version of Outlook 2007 and had some problems of setting up e-mail account (which I don't need; I have AOL e-mail on the "BOLD" and that works very well).

Just need a calendar and contacts that I have on my computer that will link directly to "BOLD" when I placed the "BOLD" in the cradle?

    Any suggestions?

    Appreciate all help.

    Thank you.

No, you don't need to buy anything. If you cannot synchronize the 2 devices with the Desktop Manager, you have another way to do it.

Export all contacts, memos, etc to palm desktop for Outlook. and after that syncs with the Blackberry.

Believe me is more simple synchronization Blackberry that synchronize the Palm.

  • Problem blackBerry Smartphones remove a contact

    Hi can someone help me...

I have a contact in my address book that I need to remove. I have tried the methods specified which are recommended by the function 'help' on the phone. Nothing seems to work. They are also a BBM contact, and I tried to delete them that way. Remove the BBm contact, she always leaves me the contact in my address book. I tried editing, but the prompt tells me just save data externally... Whatever that means.

In any case, it is still there and IRRITATING me... Please help someone!

OK, in this case, I think I might have understood.  Thanks for this info!

What you were sent is called contact .vcf.  Another person suggested the following solution in another forum.

    1. backup your contacts using the BlackBerry Desktop Software.

    2. now go back and restore your contacts database.

This should ensure that you can edit or delete this contact information.

Try and if it still does not work, let me know and I'll ask for more information.

  • Suggested contacts corrupted

When the composition or send an e-mail, click in the address bar and start typing > a pop-up/drop-down menu with a list of suggested addresses.

-The list includes: former winners / previous contacts / previous recipients.

-The list appears to include addresses which have never been used or stored on the real device, but have been used or stored on other devices at any given time, but also are more stored in all Apps.

    Why these appear when?

    (a) settings > Contacts > Contacts found in Apps... is set to OFF.

    (b) settings > general > Spotlight search... all is set to OFF.

Where he 'draws' this information since then?

    _____

The same thing happens in the Messages application, although the entries in the drop-down pop-up/list differ.

-The proposed lists also includes current Contacts, but displays the previous names, for example: contact is now called - Ben. At one point the contact previously qualified - Jimmys Mate. Jimmys Mate, this is what comes!

In addition to being extremely laborious, scrolling of the endless lists. This has the potential of disaster, Contacts information are constantly changing. I have no desire to see several e-mail addresses or phone numbers, I might have used previously, but are no longer relevant.

... It seems that Mail & APPs Message reference also against an old database. I noticed on 10 iOS device is a database called RECENT where some of the suggestions are taken from.

    Hello

The Mail App has the question "Previous winners" in the window Menu.

It can be accessed and will show ANY address that was sent to you, even if it was spam or ordinary e-mail.

Messages stores the elements of what was a list of recent in the com.apple.ichat.plist although it is difficult to change.

The actual Menu item is gone in Yosemite and higher.

This list of recent is the real you got cats.

As the list is in the ~/Library/Messages data element that has the largest file size.

The file is a little readable in TextEdit and can them be sought (search in the Menu Edition) for the elements concerned.

I still work on the criteria for what is included in this list.

I still try to edit this file.

  • BlackBerry classic to synchronize Contacts and calendar on 3 devices (BlackBerry Classic, PRO Surface and a laptop)

    Hello

I have a classic BlackBerry. I try to sync my contacts and Calendar Details on 3 devices, my BB, Surface PRO and my laptop using the Link BlackBerry software. I use Microsoft Outlook on my laptop and the Surface where I synchronize from. When I connect my BB to my laptop, can I synchronize all the contacts created on my BB for the laptop and the contacts created on the laptop for my BB, even with the calendar, calendar events created on the BB will be synchronized on the laptop and vice versa. When I connect my BB to my Surface, I can do the same thing there, sync contacts & calendar events created on the SURFACE Pro for the BB and vice versa.

What I'm looking for, it's that all contacts & calendar events created on my Pro SURFACE which have been synchronized on my BB must also be synchronized on my laptop when I connect my BB to my laptop and vice versa, as any event or the contacts created on my laptop that have been synchronized on my BB must then be synchronized on the Surface PRO Microsoft Outlook. So I try to reach that 3 of all devices must have the same calendar and contacts whenever I connect my BB device (Surface & laptop) to synchronize with the BB link.

I would appreciate a response from anyone.

    Thank you

Hello and welcome to the community!

Rather than captive link, I recommend you go to OTA sync... see:

Using this method, I have my email, calendar and contacts sync all 3 SmartPhones BB, 1 BB PlayBook, 1 Windows/Outlook2013 system, and a MAC (although, by introducing the MAC and it's limits, I had to implement a hybrid solution... email from HotMail, but the calendar/contacts via Google). I don't know any way to do what you want to link (and it would be more instant OTA anyway and let it do everything remotely rather than purely local).

    Good luck!

  • Z10 blackBerry cannot export my contacts to one Z10 because of the BONE

    Hello

    I had a blackberry with the OS10.3.

Last week I broke the touchscreen, it s no longer works.

So I bought a new phone and tried to restore my backup file.

It will not restore my contacts before on my new phone because:

-I can't update 10.3 on my new phone (I think BB stops to extend)

-the error message says that I need appstore for updating contacts. But I can't have appstore since I was minus 10.2

You know any other way to restore my contacts on the phone 10.2?

    Hello

the only way I found was to download my contact list to my phone from 10.3 to Outlook, then load it onto my phone 10.2.

I did it using Blackberry link.

  • BlackBerry Z10 get my contacts out of the scope of work

On my old 9790 all my contacts are automatically synchronized with our Exchange Server.

It was nice to get them all automatically on the Z10, but now they are "trapped" in the scope of work, and since our Admin set the expiration time of password to 10 min I often unlock the perimeter just to get to my private contacts.

Any suggestions how I could get in my private area? Or is it maybe better to store them on a google account or other?

just in case where someone else deems it useful:
I exported all contacts in outlook to a csv file, created an outlook.com account (as google has been my preferred email address) and imported without any problems.
Z10 synchronization runs without any problem.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Priv backup Contacts on Google

    Hello everyone

I use a Blackberry since 2002, but clearly have some gaps in my understanding of technology!  At the moment I have to go to the help of my beautiful PRIV and transferred my 2000 + contacts from my old to my new Priv Q10 I don't use my head.  When the choice to import my contacts from Google - I chose to make them all "local contacts" only - since I used an Office Outlook rather than Gmail and didn't know that I would now have no way to back up my contacts.  Now, I want to download the new OS - but don't want to do until I backed up my device - especially my Contacts.  How can I move all of my current contacts to Google (who doesn't have a few contacts inside) and save my PRIVATE.  A big thank you to those who help with entry. GigiatTO

If I understand correctly you have all your contacts on your PRIVATE, right?

First you'll need a google account , and I guess you have already.

    Go to the Contacts app

You should see your contacts list and category "Local Contacts" should be displayed above.

Tap 3 dots (...) in the upper right corner

    Select import/export

    Now tap export to storage

    Confirm the operation.

Now, your contacts are saved in the internal memory of your PRIV.

You will need to "file manager" see/find this file, or you can connect your PRIVATE to your PC and copy that newly created... file .vcf on your desktop.

That you have copied this file to your PC

Open the browser and go to google.com

    In search type: google contacts

Click on the link and enter your credentials if requested

Once there, on the left side you should see button 'more '.

When you click on it, there will be more options and you need to ' import/export '.

He points to your file saved on the PC and it will start to transfer your information.

  • BlackBerry Z10 impossible access contacts or messages and the non-existent hub

I got a Z10 now and during the installation I noticed that if I clicked on the "contacts" or "text messages'icons are not." I thought when I transferred all the data from my old divide that would correct itself, but it does not.

None of my contacts or forwarded messages, and I Redid the transfer twice. My call log was transferred, but all entries are number only, no names. And I can't seem to be able to add these numbers to my contacts. I can't even enter the contacts and enter all my previous Info manually.

I have no hub blackberry either and I asked the people who are in the same room to send me messages but I don't get them. I tried to reboot the device several times but nothing moves. I seem to be able to BBM surveys send, but not receive them.

Seems that the only thing I can do is to make and receive calls and use the internet browser.

Can any ideas on how I fix? I will go back to the store I had the phone of the future, but really looking for some information at this time if possible.

    Thank you.

Hi G and welcome to the community of BlackBerry Support Forums!

Have you made software updates on your BlackBerry Z10? If this is not the case, there may be one available. You can do the update through the BlackBerry Link with your device, or by going to settings > software updates on the device itself.

    Thank you.

  • BlackBerry App cannot add contacts on whatsapp on z10

Can someone tell me please how to add contacts on the z10 blackberry whatsapp.  My old whatsapp contacts that were on my old phone appear with the name - but I can not enter all new contacts - faves tried and everything.  You can only manually enter the phone numbers for cat - which is very annoying.  My whatsapp contacts are on my list of regular contacts.  BlackBerry also has to offer the possibility of whatsapp for contacts, as they do with sms, email, options when you view a contact.

    Here's the process:

    (1) enable WhatsApp Messenger to access your contacts database (this is done in the Z10 security options)

    (2) create a contact base (I use one that is related to my email provider, GMail)

    (3) in this database of contacts, create a new entry with a mobile phone number

    (4) after some time WhatsApp will display this contact in the contacts tab. And when that person will use WhatsApp, on their side, the contact will also be in the tab Favorites (so no need to type in their number and more).
