  Just select the appropriate type of carrier and network, select your Blackberry model from the list and download the latest version.   Hello and welcome to the community!

  Please try this sequence... Note that, throughout the whole 4h15m process, your BB should stay connected to a good charger (not the USB PC):

  1. With battery, connect your BB to the wall charger
  2. Leave it alone for 2 hours, no matter what the LED or the screen not
  3. Remove the battery
  4. Wait 15 minutes
  5. Insert the battery
  6. Wait another 2 hours, no matter what the LED or the screen not

  This has been known to "revive" some BBs.

  It is also possible that your battery or BB has encountered a problem... to test, this sequence is necessary:

  1. Get a known good and already fully charge battery... use it in your BB and see what happens
  2. Get access to a BB good and the same known... use your battery in there and see what happens

  The results of this will show if your BB or your battery that has the problem.

  It may be that you need to use something different with the procedure that you follow... see these:

  Thanks - I do not change anything.   I tried the sim card in another phone and it works very well, which can only assume that the problem is with the phone and not on the network I'll do the wipe and hope for the best.   will let you know the result

  Hi, I got a curve 8520 and tried to synchronize it with the Desktop Manager (mac osx snow leopard 32bits) but the computer does not recognize it (not even as peripheral mass storage), usb sockets are fine, given that the phone is charging and be detected by windows as a blackberry smartphone in analogies.

  I tried reseting, removing the battery, restart the computer, re install DM, install the Device Manager.

  The strange thing is that I was able to sync 6 months ago (it was my cell phone the mothers) without any problem using DM... I don't know what else to do, any help greatly appreciated.

  For those who have this problem of MAC (snow leopard) drivers seem to come with pocketmac and not with the DM. has worked for my curve 8520 with DM and installed pocketmac.

  Hi, I have a prob my girls curve 8520 just died Monday afternoon. She says he died as "the battery was flat," she says. Now, it does not come on, he wants, but he isn't.   My BB Pearl 8120 picks up wi - fi very well, but I just replaced my home router and does not recognize it when I scan for networks.

  All other wireless devices in the House (TV, laptop, I - Pad, son phone) connect without problem.

  It's a problem affecting thousands of users of the BB, mistasifta, not only you. It is not your handset at fault, and it is not related to the upgrade, you did. This is a general problem with BIS connections on wifi. See here: http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/BlackBerry-Device-Software/BIS-over-WIFI-stopped-working/td-p... RIM acknowledged there is a problem. You could talk to your operator on this subject, but they can't fix it, only the RIM can do. They are working on it, apparently.

  I worked on my new Blackberry for days now.  I like the new message indicator, but it will not shut down after you read the message.  I've enabled for SMS text messages.

  Any suggestions on how to get the light to stop flashing after you read the message?

  Try a 30 second with the phone battery pull, replace the battery and see if it returns to normal.

  Recently, I dug my Blackberry Storm out of his box and tried to use it again. Unfortunately, it not light.

  I can plug it into my computer (Mac) and the red light comes on. He will stay on until I open the Blackberry Desktop Manager how the phone starts a cycle of rebooting. Every now and then it stops on a symbol of the battery with a slash through it (are there no battery in the phone), but the second, I try to connect to it via the Blackberry software it restarts again.

  My phone is out of warranty and since he began to send me in trouble in 2009 I switched to Android.   In your situation, a 507 is actually a good thing... 507 means that the BB has no OS installed in it, but at least it turn on now.

  I don't know how do to recover it through MAC... all of the stuff I know applies to the PC. You might find some MAC-specific help in our MAC-specific forum:

  Everything what I've heard, none of the stuff to get over this is for MAC, so if you have access to a Windows PC, you can perform the following procedure, which removes as "automatic" search/download OS that fails on your MAC and replace it with what you control:

  1) uninstall all the BB OS packages from your PC,

  (2) make sure you have the BB Desktop Software already installed

  (3) download and install to your PC, the BB OS package you want:

  • C:\Users\(your Windows username) \AppData\Roaming\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Loader XML

  (5) run the Desktop software and connect your BB... the software should offer the operating system package you have installed on your PC. If, during the process, your BB votre BB a '507' error, simply unplug the power cord of the BB USB and reinsert it. do nothing else... This should allow the installation to continue.

  OK gang, not quite the same problem as everyone discussed.  I have a 8310 with ATT. on 4.2.2.170.  I just installed a Sandisk 8 Gb card that I bought and received yesterday.  I installed thinking it would immediately recognize 4 GB based on what I read in various expert comments and responses, but in the Media Manager, it seems not to recognize at all.  Cannot transfer images or files on him.  so, is that what I did something wrong?  My BB showed a message asking if I want to turn on the media card, and I answered YES.

  Do yu have a card reader for your PC that you can use to read the card?

  If this is not the case, go to MEDIA CARD MENU KEY FORMAT OPTIONS.

  If you have the possibility to use the PC.

  Make sure you have the following folders on the card:

  BlackBerry

  music

  photos

  ringtones

  vidieos

  VoiceNotes

  This is where the BB get the associated files.

  I can send and receive texts, but I can't read the text screen.  When I choose the shortcut sms icon it brings up one of the emails I have.  In fact, I have three shortcuts email to three e-mail addresses of differeent on the main screen, but they all open just an address which is the same thing when I open the screen of text messages.  This happened only yesterday, and it works fine for 6 months, I searched for other complaints of this in the help section, but nothing.  Any help would be most appreciated.   First, do a simple reboot on the BlackBerry this way: with smart BlackBerry poweredphone, remove the battery for a minute and then reinsert the battery to restart. A reboot in this manner is prescribed for most defects and errors of operating system, and you will lose any data on the device doing so.

• BlackBerry Pearl Smartphones does not receive messages while MS Outlook is 'on '.

  I just moved my Pearl of a BES configuration company for a new account AT & T using BIS.  I finally got messages to reconcile with the BB wireless return service directories to the device.

  My problem - although relatively minor - is that the BB will not receive ANY messages as long as MS Outlook on my desktop PC is turned on.  If I do not start Outlook, messages will come to the BB.

  Is it "normal"?  Any ideas on how to change the situation?

  I had the same problem, and in my case it was because of a box checked in Outlook which was remove the message from the server of mail before it was recovered by the BIS.

  To address in Outlook, you need to:

  1) go to tools account settings--->

  (2) select the e-mail account that you experience a problem with & click 'change '.

  (3) in the pop-up window, select "additional settings".

  (4) select the "Advanced" tab

  (5) by 'Delivery' tick the box 'keep a copy of messages on the server.

  This should solve the problem.

  I'm having a problem with my 9550. The phone will not in the mode to the Holster when I put it in the Holster. The holster is a case of BB and the magnet is still there and strong. I tried to run the magnet closure on the front and the back of the phone to see if the screen would go black as it did on my other BBs but the 9550 is not affected by the magnet.

  I usually put my BB shut up when out of the Holster and vibrate and alert when in the Holster, but I noticed I was Miss calls and notices of meeting. I just got this phone a few days ago and I tried to troubleshoot myself without a bit of luck.

  Executing 5.0.0.607 and on the Verizon network.

  I noticed on my 9550 magnet hit dead center of the phone (before on the screen or the back) and the screen goes to sleep.
