BlackBerry 9700 "bold" blackberry smartphones does not connect to wifi

I have a blackberry bold 9700 and I got it a few days ago and every since then ive been trying to get the wifi working. Phones unlocked by the way.

I implemented the wifi fine but in manage connections, I have my network in green next to my wifi and a white check mark to the right and its supposed to be a checkmark im assuming.

No matter what I do my wifi symbol does not illuminate white his gray yet and I have configured the wifi and it says it's connected but still no wifi.

What settings on my phone or my internet or my phone I do not know now im so confused.

and I have a router linksys and im with rogers and im new to blackberrys.

The white tick means that you are connected to WiFi rotate.

A green check mark indicates that you are connected to the WiFi router AND your BlackBerry BIS data plan. Do you have this data Plan on your mobile service provider account?

If this is not the case, call them and ask.

Good luck.

It's a problem affecting thousands of users of the BB, mistasifta, not only you. It is not your handset at fault, and it is not related to the upgrade, you did. This is a general problem with BIS connections on wifi. See here: http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/BlackBerry-Device-Software/BIS-over-WIFI-stopped-working/td-p... RIM acknowledged there is a problem. You could talk to your operator on this subject, but they can't fix it, only the RIM can do. They are working on it, apparently.

  • BlackBerry smartphones does not connect to the Device Manager after upgrade [USB]

    Hello

I've updated de.141.151 and just after the update has been made, whenever I try to connect my BB via USB, I get the message says:

    "Unrecognized USB device".
The USB devices for computer mark attaached has malufunctioned and windows does not recognize it. "

    I tried cutting things:

    -Restart of BB

    -Restart the PC

-Repair the current installation of Desktop Manager

-Restore an older version of the Desktop Manager version

PS: it is not unknown devices in the 'Device Manager' of the pc so there is nothing to uninstall and reinstall

All are taken out with no results,

    any suggestions?

    Thank you.

Found the solution, remove the battery after the closure of the DM, connect the usb cable and then replace the battery, the pc will read it.

  • Email to blackBerry Smartphones does not connect via the new operating system

Once I downloaded the new OS, my email has stopped working.  It is no longer that receives or sends emails via my Mobile network.  If I turn on the Wi - Fi and connect to a Wi - Fi network, then the email receives and sends.  I don't want it to be connected to a WiFi nothing to do with the e-mail.   How can I get it to work on any Mobile network like it used to?

On your BlackBerry device, go to:

    1. options > advanced > host Routing Table > Menu > register.

2 send your service from your carrier's BIS site books:
    Of your handheld: http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB15402

Go to the Personal Email Set Up icon and sign. Then under help!, select Service books and select send service books.

    Your desktop PC: http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB02830
North American carriers - scroll down to select your carrier
Carriers worldwide - find your operator from the list

    3. with the BlackBerry device powered time, remove battery for a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to restart. This restart, even if you have already done this, is often necessary to install the service books.

  • MacBook pro running on IOS 10.11.5 does not connect to wifi on its own.

My macbook pro does not connect to wifi instantly and sometimes not at all.

While he looks for the networks, if I click the wifi icon, it shows my network wifi under 3 bars in the list of wifi, but even if I click on my wifi, it continues to search without connecting to it. After that it seeks for a while, it connects sometimes, but most of the time, a new screen will be pop up saying please choose a network and it will show my network on the list. If I click on my network and tap on connect, it will connect instantly.

to connect faster, give less to think about:

We have a new Torch 9860 which does not connect with a PC via the USB port.  What should do?

    SlaKir wrote:

    The answer is YES

Well, then your USB port is likely.

Restart the PC and BlackBerry (with smart BlackBerry power onthe phone, remove the battery for a minute and then reinsert the battery to restart).

Then, connect with the USB cable and a rear main USB port at the back of the PC, not a front USB port.

Hear a ringing or sound from the PC indicating that the BlackBerry is connected?

Start the BlackBerry Desktop Manager software. Give it a minute to recognize the connected BlackBerry device... you see the code PIN of BlackBerry on the PC in the BlackBerry Desktop software?

  • BlackBerry smartphones can not CONNECT to THE SERVER

Hello need help. My Blackberry Curve 8520 (OS 5.0.0.1036) does not connect to the server. It shows my network (Vodafone) and gets a strong signal; makes and receives calls; connect wifi; but it is also completely static. After the first Setup email screen I get: your device has a connection to the server problm.  (I think it means the Blackberry server?)  So I can not connect any email.  Very well in my other near-identical Curve 8520 Sim Card work.  How can I do please?  Y at - it a reset or software update is complete I can undertake? Thank you, Michael

I can help you with the it policy... lack of procedure for access to the BES server, this (and only this) cleanse a BB to an it policy:

    • Article ID: KB31291 How to reset a BlackBerry smartphone to factory using BlackBerry Desktop Software Settings

If you do a backup/restore, don't do this basically... rather, backup/restore only the databases specific you need (for example, calendar, contacts, messages, etc.) and more precisely to avoid data bases having something to with COMPUTER policy, business, etc.. If you restore those, the it policy will be conscientiously restored to the device, and you will be right where you are now.

As for a BES Server trying to reach out... There is nothing that I can offer you. Your best bet is to talk to your provider and make sure you have no BES-level service enabled on your account of them. Who should (note 'should'... is there no guarantees) prevent a BES server to reach out and the reactivation of your device.

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry smartphones can not connect BlackBerry Pearl 9105 for PC

    Hello world

    I have the following problem:

After using my BB Pearl 9105 for almost 3 years, I can not connect to PC more (I still menu with choice of 3 options on my smartphone when I connect, but when I click on that option "usb" or "charge", the menu appears again).

In addition, the PC does not recognize my smartphone as a usb device. Updated BlackBerry Desktop Software and the purchase of the new Micro-USB cable did not help.

    I can still load.

Could anyone suggest me how to solve this problem?

In addition, make sure you use only the root USB ports... without hubs (sometimes the front-end ports are hubs... use a rear USB port). And don't forget to try to disable the USB power management in the configuration of your system (Device Manager).

Check also on the incompatible software... it was reported that NTI Shadow Ninja & software can cause a conflict; Remove and reinstall the desktop software BB allows to install correctly.

  • BlackBerry smartphones can not connect to Internet / locked message screen

    Hello!!

I have 2 questions that I hope someone can answer.

#1), I have a unlocked new Curve 9300 OS5, checked with my cell phone provider to make sure that everything was compatible before I bought it. My cell phone operator's cellular consumption and their internet settings etc is the same as AT & T, but I am not able to connect to the internet. The phone I bought was a phone that has been configured for use with AT & T. My operator tells me that Blackberry phones are the only phones that they were not able to get to connect to the internet, all other phones that they have had no problem with, nice huh?  I do not understand why Blackberry phones, even those which is suitable for AT & T does not connect to the internet via cellular consumption, even using the same codes, or what you like AT & T, or so I thought. Someone, can someone help me to understand this or put me in touch with someone who can, I think Blackberry would learn this so that the problem can be solved, I know several people who would have liked to have bought Blackberry phones, but decided to not not having heard about my situation.

Locked screen message #2). I watched the video and followed the direction, made several times to ensure that I was not missing anything and I still can't display locked message to change the message resolved to plant in my message. Any thoughts on this problem?

Thanking all in advance for your time and your help.

    Heidi

#1) to connect to the Internet with a BlackBerry, you need to have a BlackBerry plan data. Without this, you will get no data service, apart from a few wifi on a BlackBerry Smartphone services.

(#2) you are sure that the device is 'new '? That the message is displayed on the lock screen?

  • BlackBerry smartphones can NOT CONNECT to INTERNET

HI I HOPE SOMEONE CAN HELP MY BLACKBERRY CURVE 8520 ALMOST WALKED OVER TO THE SANDBOX.  IT DOES NOT CONNECT TO THE INTERNET I TRY IF THE BB BROWSER OPTION AND WHEN I CHOOSE GOOGLE IT CONNECTS.  I HAVE ONLY A COUPLE OF DOWNLOADED APPLICATIONS AS THESE DON'T WORK PROPERLY, EITHER JVM104 ERROR COMES ON THE SCREEN.  IM REALLY DISAPPOINTED WITH BB IT IS MY SECOND HANDSET IN ONE YEAR!

    I HOPE SOMEONE CAN HELP!

    • Open your browser, and press the Menu key > Options > Cache operations and CLEAR the cache and history.
    • Then do a simple reboot on the BlackBerry this way: with smart BlackBerry poweredphone, remove the battery for a minute and then reinsert the battery to reboot (Yes, do this AGAIN).
    • Now, once restarted, try again the browser.
  • Help blackBerry Smartphones! Not connected BB internet service. That's happened?

Out of the blue my BB wouldn't send or receive emails/text etc. Under "service status", he said internet Service not connected BB and BB Enterprise Server not connected. What can I do?  Thanks for any help you can provide.

Perform a simple reboot on the BlackBerry this way: with smart BlackBerry poweredphone, remove the battery for a minute and then reinsert the battery to restart. A reboot in this manner is prescribed for most defects and errors of operating system, and you will lose any data on the device doing so.

If after15 minutes it still does not connect please after return.
