  The easiest way is, on a PC (you can not do on MAC):

  (1) make sure that you have a current backup and your BB complete... you can find the instructions at the link in my auto-sig below.

  2) uninstall all the BB OS packages from your PC,

  (3) make sure you have the BB Desktop Software already installed

  (4) download and install on your computer, the BB OS package you want:

  • If all you want are the levels of BONE, it is first sorted by carrier - the carrier supports, your search will be fast. However, some carriers are much slower than others to release updates. To really get the package up-to-date OS for your BB, you need to dig through and find all businesses that support your specific model BB and then compare the BONE levels they support.

  I recommend that you try to start safe mode:

  It will take several attempts to get the combination of keys ESC (press/release/hold) OK, so be patient. When properly in Safe Mode, see what happens.

  If the behavior continues, then well... think what happened just before this behavior started? A new application? An update? A theme? Something else? Think carefully that the slightest change can be causal... and try to undo all that was.

  But if the behavior continues mode without failure, you may need to consider more drastic measures - WIPE, OS Reload, BBSAK Wipe/Reload and the process of reloading OS 'skeleton '. • BBM BBM setting on new Blackberry 9720

  Hi all

  I've updated my old Blackberry "BOLD" to a 9720 a couple of days and experiencing problems get BBM to work.  Initially, I had problems with email and BBM surveys and found that Vodafone had not added Blackberry Internet Services to my new plan, this has been resolved yesterday and this morning I could put my good emails but still experiences a problem with BBM.

  When I go in BBM, either the facility or the usual BBM icon, I get a screen that says welcome in Blackberry Messenger and invites me to enter a display name, I can then click OK or click on a link to restore the list of contacts.  No matter which of these options I take I have nowhere - if I click on the OK button it tells me to do this without restore contrcts but if I chose to restore or move forward without making of I just end up back on the first screen with nothing happening, if I click to restore Contacts he invites me to do this but still nothing happens and I end up right back on the first screen again.  I've been going round in circles with this for the last 10 minutes or so and have finally given the place and wondered if anyone had any idea of what the question was.

  Please take a look at your main Options > BlackBerryID.

  Your BBID came there with correct details, etc. ?

If they understand your model, please use those as a reference as you go along. Otherwise, you will have to dig through the download portal official for packages of OS for your model:

  From a PC, you can install any compatible OS package (for example, for your BB model exact number) of a BB via this procedure:

  Its possible you may have a filter defined in address book on your BlackBerry® smartphone.  In the address book, press the menu key and choose filter.  If there is no boxes checked, remove the check mark, and then check the address book again.
