BlackBerry Curve 8330 Smartphone: I can't make outgoing calls to some phone numbers. Help!

I recently bought the Curve 8330 from Sprint (about 3 months ago).  It worked fine for a few months, but now I can't make outgoing calls to some phone numbers.  It is almost constant.  I have signal strength strong (1XEV bars full).  Then when I make an outgoing call from the phone book or just manually enter the number, the call disconnects after a ring or a few rings.  Most of the time it just says: "disconnected" even though I didn't touch any button.  I tried to remove the battery for a few minutes, as well as the SD card, but it does not solve the problem.  I am very frustrated.  I'm technologically challenged and would like if someone could help me.

Hello

I just re-read this thread again, how many numbers is affected?

You can call the carrier first, make sure your line is an option correctly.

Let us know how many numbers, OK?

Thank you

  • BlackBerry Curve 8330 Smartphones memory?

General question... What is the capacity of the hard disk of the Curve 8330?  I can't find the specification anywhere, I was wondering how much data it can hold.  Appreciate any info you can share!

    Hello

There is no hard drive on modern smartphones. It's a Flash drive.
On the Curve 8330, the internal memory is written on spec for the Curve series page: 96 MB
    http://NA.BlackBerry.com/eng/devices/blackberrycurve8300/curve_specifications.jsp?Navid=H0, C221, S2

memory internal, also known under the name of the memory of the device. It has these uses:

    • keep the BONES (can handle up to 40MB)
    • Ordinary things to work RAM
    • wear of all applications and their data
    • store multimedia files (bad idea)

In addition, you have the 'memory card': a slot for a microSD card / microSDHC card. You can put a card as big as you want, but according to the version of your operating system, your device will see only a part of it. There is an article on the database of knowledge of the public about the limits. For a 4.2.2 the limit is 4 GB. For a 4.5, it is much much more.

  • Used to synchronize synchronize my Blackberry Curve 8330 Smartphones blackBerry with Outlook and Yahoo contacts and calendars.

Used to synchronize my Blackberry Curve 8330 to sync with my Outlook & Yahoo contacts and calendars.  There is no error message, it just don't do.  Any suggestions?

You can upgrade to 4.7 WITHOUT Media Manager.  Some people have problems with the MM.  It's also a great Setup and it is easier to use the drag-and - drop in windows Explorer with the lit on your BB mass storage mode.

Personally, I use DTM 4.6 without MM and have no problem.

  • BlackBerry Curve 8330 Smartphones, internet connection

Hi, I have a curve 8330.  If my phone is not connected to a BES server, should I tell my TCP settings under Advanced options to connect to the internet?  Or it will connect without APN information together?

    THX

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

If you have a data plan adequate of your operator, they should push the settings for your BB without intervention on your part BES or not is not relevant. You can try to re - push all parameters via the following steps:

    (1) registry HRT

    • Homescreen > Options > Advanced Options > host Routing Table > (it matter little what line is current) > sign up now

    (2) Service reference books

    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service

    (3) restart to take batt

    • Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

I hope that will move things again for you! If not, then you should contact your provider and find out what services you can expect under the plan, you them.

  • BlackBerry Curve 8330 smartphones does not connect to Holux

My Curve 8330 bluetooth will not connect my GPS Holux M-1200.  My oldest 7130e had no problem, but I can't even find a 'connect' in the menu for the Holux.   It paired successfully amd appears under my bluetooth devices but I can't use google maps.

Is there a setting in the Advanced menu, that I'm missing?

    Thank you

On my 8330 under ADVANCED GPS OPTIONS, press the menu button and it says change option. My gps is not activated (Verizon) and I do not test it with, but you might see if you can pass here.

    Worth it?

  • Locked blackBerry Curve 8520 Smartphones and can't find the mute button to unlock

Hello.  I have a BB Curve 8520.  I was looking for just the page options and then I think I clicked on the speed dial option.  The keyguard option has 'a' and I clicked it and it locked the keyboard.  I didn't realize there was a lock for my keyboard (and had been in charge of looking for one).  However, I can't get it unlocked.  When I press the menu button, it appears that the keyboard is locked.  Press the button Mute to unlock. »

However, I don't know where is the Mute button, nor can I get it to unlock.

My theme is precision zen (I think) if that makes a difference.

Does anyone know how can I unlock my keyboard?  And then how to lock successfully in the future?  I guess I don't understand the aspect of the phone speed dial.

    Thanks for any help!

Never mind.  I used the tutorial to find the button mute.

  • Bb user new blackBerry Curve 8330 Smartphones help with installation of the Email

I can't understand this. "I have a new 8330 and when I go into the configuration Email options I have 2 options: I want to use a professional email with Blackberry Enterprise Server account" and I want to ignore the e-mail configuration. Shouldn't there be an option to configure an existing e-mail account? I want my Outlook of Comcast.net email to pass on to my BB, but can't seem to find a way to do it. I have setup a BIS account which seems to be configured correctly. I use Desktop manager 4.6 and Outlook 2007 HELPPpp please... It seems there is no option in Fund Manager to implement. And when I set up the synchronization options, it only shows the calendar (which works)

To configure your email go to your phone via the Blackberry Internet Service, there are really only two options: 1) the installer of your phone; or (2) the installer through the website of your mobile phone service provider.  From your phone, search for "Setting up Internet E-Mail" icon, select and it will take you through the steps until the establishment of consumer email.  If you don't see this icon, go to main Menu > Options > Advanced Options > host Routing Table, press the menu key to the left of your trackball and select "register now".  Pull your battery, wait a few seconds and pop and then reconnecting, which should automatically start the phone.  If the icon is not there, contact your mobile phone service provider, because it cannot be fully implemented in their system yet.

If you try to set up the email on the Blackberry Desktop Manager and you see an 'E-mail settings' icon, and then you installed the BES, not the version BIS of the BB Desktop Manager and you will need to uninstall and reinstall the software.  The key is to choose the second option, the installation options that is for BRI.

    I hope that helps!

  • BlackBerry Curve 8330 Smartphone will synchronize any

I am a new user of BB.  (I've been synchronize a Dell PDA with MS Outlook 03 years.)  When I try to sync the curve I get the error message "no applications configured for synchronization.

I exported the address book to a CSV file according to the instructions online.  However, I was unable to follow the instructions for importing.

I like BB, but if I can't transfer & backup data, it is of limited use.  Suggestions welcomed.

Have you already implemented "parameters to configure the synchronization for my desktop program?

If you use outlook, you should not have to export to a CSV file at all, it's more if you are synchronizing Gmail contacts or something like that. Make sure you only select what information you want to synchronize (etc contact, calendar,) and if you want a two-way synchronization (good if you add something to the device you want to back up in Outlook) or only a one-way sync (ie the device or Outlook).

If you have any other problems please post here and I'll do my best to help.

  • BlackBerry Curve 8330 Smartphone saves files in the device memory

I am an experienced BlackBerry user and currently have a 8330.  I have a micro-SD 4 GB installed and no matter how many times I select 'save on the memory card media', after a few days or an unknown event, the unit will automatically return to the option 'save the media in the device memory.  Sounds like a software problem, then I want to see if anyone else has had the issue.

Well, there is no problem in the database. My thought is to return the service directories and update the device options. The next would be to charge your device OS.

    Thoughts?
