    Hello

Go to Page 6 in this manual:
    http://h10032.www1.HP.com/CTG/manual/c03939658.PDF

All the compatible wireless adapters listed for your model in the manual are adapter single band and operates on the 2.4 GHz ONLY band.

Go to Device Manager and expand network adapters. You will see the names and model numbers wireless adapter.

If the suffix of the wireless card description ends in bgn, then this is the only map of a single band (2.4 GHZ). If it ends in abgn or agn, then this is a wireless card dual band (2.4 GHz/5.0 GHz).

Computers in most portable consumer HP are equipped with single band card.

You can use the dongle USB wireless adapter Alternatively.

  • S6000, does not connect to wifi 5 GHz

    Hello

I'm having a problem somewhere. The s6000 can see and connect to my network wifi 2.4 GHz without any problem, but it is impossible to see or connect to my wifi 5 GHz network, even if the other devices can without problem.

This device has the capacity of 5 GHz, or are the comments that I've seen online who say that he is wrong in this look?

    Thank you.

    Marc :-)

A lot of comments is done by idiots who clearly don't review/test products correctly are just a bit thick or who cannot read or are lazy and so on.

The S6000 does not work on the frequency of 5 GHz. Pure and simple.

  • HP 15-r011dx: unable to connect to wifi 5 GHz

I have an HP 15-r011dx (model G9D66UA #ABA) update with Windows 8.1.  It connects via wifi very well to 2.4 GHz wifi networks but can't see 5 GHz networks. Is this due to a limitation in the wifi of the computer hardware, or is there something that can be done with this model to connect to wifi 5 GHz networks?

    Hello:

The list of parts for your laptop (see link below), shows that it comes with a Realtek RTL8188EE 802.11bgn Wi - Fi adapter.

    http://PartSurfer.HP.com/search.aspx?SearchText=G9D66UA

This model of the wireless card is a card of the only band (2.4 GHz) only.

This is why your laptop can connect to networks wirelessly on the 5.0 GHz band.

Class specifications very little HP consumer come standard with bluetooth and cards wireless dual band.

I hope that people who have this problem in the future, you read this before you follow Ricky RockStars because he has mental health problems. After having seen his reply here and then others and it is how wildly incorrect, I did some research. I saw one of his messages on a forum from another site where he calls himself, "master of puppets" and he said he finds his answers on google. Dell isn't the only place to take responses at random to see if a stick, said. Apparently, he did that on ' yah * answers "and others, also. It is not a true expert, and instead of saying that he doesn't know, he barks just the random directions to try to solve problems or problems which can still be fixed, as it did here. He loves the power of the people who listen to him. He really has no idea what she's doing. He just googles your problem and tells you what it finds, as if he knew. The problem with is that if you have already done this, he will find the same wrong information makes you or even worse information as he did here. I saw a lot of his answers and about half are correct, 1/3 are wrong and just wasting peoples time, and the other 1/6 are harmful. Look at what happened here. He should have just said what I say below, but instead of that he had a back and forth for days because he loves control.  Seriously, I don't understand how Dell allows this to happen. It is everywhere in their forums, which gives bad advice, and using people as the 'puppets' in his weird game to control the actions of others.

    Here's the real answer:

Dell Vostro 3550 does not support WiFi 5 Ghz network connections. There is nothing you can do to address this problem in addition to changing the hardware (go out and buy a 5 GHz USB adapter).

  • BlackBerry Leap Leap battery suddenly draining power VERY quickly

I bought a new blackberry leap July 26.

The battery has been fantastic since acquisition - was very impressed - get home at the end of the day and it is still about 60 percent, could still squeeze a second day without recharging at night, if I do not use too much the next day.

Suddenly, last Sunday (August 9), he began to drain the battery like crazy... and I was not still use it.  I did work in my house and my phone was sitting in the kitchen and I heard the notification that he had devoted to the battery in watch mode in early afternoon (after being fully charged when I woke up in the morning).

Since then, (yesterday and today too), he's bleeding like crazy.

I have fully charged it last night, it is now 1:30 and I woke up at 7:00, and is at 29% left battery power.

I haven't added new applications or do something different since Sunday.

When I go to "battery use" in the settings, it shows that the 'system' is with 51%.  The next most high is "Standby" 9.9%, then view at 3.4 percent.

Any help/suggestions?    I was so impressed by the battery until 3 days ago!

The software is 10.3.2.2168 (and I've not being updated since the day wherever I bought it when I did a software update).

    Thank you!

I wanted to give you an update...

No idea why / that that has happened, I have nothing else...

But when I connected again load after the validation, I noticed it drains more and had returned to the battery usage screen showing 1 + days of use and usage of the system went down at 0.86%, with display currently th ehighest at 1%.

Anyway, the good news is that it is fixed, of course, the bad news is don't know why it happened, or how he slipped, therefore keep your fingers crossed it doesn't happen.

Maybe just posting here is the magical solution!

  • Problems with wifi 5 GHz.

Hello! Please take some time looking at this query of mine. A few moments ago, I realized my sister, with the help of a Macbook Air, was able to connect to the WiFi in my house 5 GHz. And looking for it, I couldn't find it on my own laptop, a humble Asus X555L with, I checked, 802.11n on one of these things technological black box. According to a Web site that I stumbled on in my quest to find the WiFi 5 ghz, I should be able to find, contrary to what my sister said earlier, be able to handle it. I am at a loss, because I can't always find a way to find free wifi 5 GHz. Help, please!<3 any="" advice="" or="" help="" will="" be="" appreciated!="">

    MS

It is perhaps simply that your computer does not support the 5 gig on the built in wifi card.  Yes it's 802.11 "n" enabled, but not all "n" cards can use 5 gig.  If you tell us what the card is that we can check for you

  • Bluetooth and WiFi 5 GHz - XPS 13 '' Or ''.

    Hello.

I bought a new Dell XPS 13 edition gold (I think this is the model 9550) 3 days ago and it arrived today. Out of the box, I'm not able to connect to WiFi 5 GHz networks or pair / connect with 2 adapters bluetooth audio.

When I try to pair with an adapter bluetooth audio by clicking on "Sign in" from the system tray notification Center, I am able to see the pair of devices, but get the error message "Unable to connect" yellow. I tried to connect to a Sony XB950 bluetooth headset and a bluetooth-to-optical audio receiver Belkin HD 955).

When I try to connect to a Wifi 5 GHz network (using my own Cisco 2702i enterprise access point, or my ASUS RT-AC66U friends), I can see the little icon of WiFi in the bar spots disappear and reappear several times, with a red X over the icon. After flashing several times, I get the error "unable to connect to this network. I can connect successfully to 2.4 GHz networks, but not 5 GHz ones.

I installed all the updates of Windows and installed all updates through the "Dell Update" utility. This figure includes an update of the firmware. I also tried to uninstall the Bluetooth and Wi - Fi adapters via the Windows Device Manager. The drivers for the two adapters are completely up to date as of this post.

The "Dell 1802 A" being used for the WiFi and Bluetooth adapter, I think I have a bad adapter? Please notify.

So after digging for a while, I came across the post following in another Dell Community forum:

    http://en.community.Dell.com/TechCenter/OS-applications/f/4613/t/19634843

Apparently, the Broadcom WiFi adapter supplied with the new XPS laptops has a boatload of interoperation with WiFi APs and bluetooth devices, reported by many in this thread and the problems this forum as well.

I took a chance with the WiFi card with the next Intel 7265 card replacement:

    http://www.Amazon.com/Intel-7265-IEEE-802-11AC-Bluetooth/DP/B00RCZ4I6S?ie=UTF8&PSC=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00

And IMMEDIATELY, the problems are solved. 5 GHz connectivity has no problem with ~ 20 gigabytes of data transferred via the connection from installation, and bluetooth problems are also completely missing. I have to say, so shameful, I had to do this with a ~ laptop $1400. It's too late to return this laptop because I have already opened up to replace the card and therefore cancelled the guarantee. I have yet to see any recognition of the problem by Dell, despite many long discussions on other forums on issues specifically affecting the above Broadcom.

Someone else who chooses to replace the Wifi card, make sure you uninstall both the 'DW WLAN Card' and the bluetooth software "WIDCOMM" of the Control Panel before installing a replacement card.

Once again, crazy I had to do with such a cheap laptop... I will think hard on the purchase of Dell in the future.

  • Satellite C660-1LD WIFI 5 GHz

This laptop can receive the 802. 11A / n signals at the last 5 Ghz speed? The last Netgear N600 Dual Band router transmits network on this band/frequency signals but the laptop I bought recently can not see this network in the WiFi networks list.

    Hello

Find a very interesting FAQ from Toshiba:

+ Can use the 5 GHz on the wireless network card in the standard WiFi "n". +
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/KB0/TSB0502VM0000R01.htm

If you are maybe affected by this symptom, then your laptop is probably equipped with a WiFi (b/g/n) card.
On the WiFi cards (b/g/n) that does not support the 'a' standard there is a high risk that they will not be able to transmit data in the 5 GHz band.

  • X 1 carbon drop WiFi 5 GHz

On my new X 1 carbon, with a new router Netgear R8000, the X 1 will not hold free wifi, even 3 feet from the router. There is a lot of intensity of the signal on all 3 channels. It connects for a while, but the icon turns then to 'limited', and I have no internet connection.

It works with my old Netgear WNDR 4500.

Xirrus Wi - Fi Inspector sees three channels with a lot of signal, but aren't the traces.

I even tried to reduce the maximum rate to 289 Mbit/s, and it will always maintain a connection of 5 GHz.

An update of the router seems to have corrected it.

  • Aspire Z3-615 cannot connect to WIFI 5 GHz

Hello everyone, I'm just curious. I currently have 2 lines wifi, a normal 2.4 and 5 GHz WIFI.

However, my computer, the Z3-615 Aspire on windows 8, is not able to read the 5 GHz WIFI.

My network card is atheros ar956x 5 GHz qualcomm.

I was browsing around the forum and am sure that my adapter is a single channel, which I guess means he can't read 5 g :/

My phones are able to connect, so I wonder if there is a way to ensure that the computer can read 5g?

    Thanks for the help :-)

I don't know if the link below is your computer, but if this is the case, it says b, g, n, which means it lacks a 5 GHz radio.
