BlackBerry Passport problem configure mobile hotspot

For current issues to try to get my passport to act as a hotspot.  Previously had a Z10 and used etensively in several countries, using cellular services by distribution.  Have not been able to obtain passports to work.  Get different messages that appear to be linked to the service provider, I never received with Z10.

Does anyone know if Rogers prepaid can be used as a hotspot?  Back to the Canada now and receive "failed to start the Mobile Hotspot due to a temporary network problem. Please try again later "."

Did the part "later."  Can't seem to find any help on the site of Roger.

Honestly, yes there are problems of carrier because everything I've seen in the past is that the Hotspot will not normally work on PAYGO configurations.

I know this isn't a problem hardware or software passport. There is a commissioning on the SIM card or carrier that does not work.

Thanks for the reply.  Still waiting on the response of Rogers back, asking them if the plans of distribution with them do not support you use of the hotspot. Can't think of a good reason why not.  Can have the data roaming so why not the hotspot configuration?

Is it a hardware problem to where it is not 100% compatible with the T-Mobile network, a problem with the hardware with the phone in general, or is it just that just Mobile T-network that is terrible? • BlackBerry Passport wifi connection problem after password change

I changed the password on a Wi - Fi device and since then could not connect my passport to this access point. Have you tried the wps process also without success.

Thought maybe I could delete the old profile registered, restart and after finding the unit once again, perhaps that would accept the new password.

I don't see how to remove the original profile.  When trying to update the password, get a message that the profile cannot be added.

  • BlackBerry Passport email Html appears in the Hub on Blackberry Passport

    Dear Support Forums,

I have recently upgraded to a new phone (BlackBerry passport) and have encountered a problem with my email.

I am not able to display html emails in my inbox on my device. When I saw the same email from my desktop via outlook or webmail it displays very well.
I can view emails html of my other personal e-mail accounts very well on the device, however, it's just my business email which will not display emails correctly on the device. I jumped through all the hoops support with technical support from my mobile provider and technical support of my corporate email provider already and they have determined that the problem is the end of Blackberry.

I would like to know if there is something that can be done to help.
    Thank you

As temporary (since my last post) I had the account e-mail problem and set up the Activesync for contacts & calendar only (no e-mail) and set up a separate IMAP on the same device for the part by e-mail only. In this configuration, I could get HTML emails as usual, but I lost the functionality to send Calendar invites via ActiveSync.

I did updates BBOS and whenever have tried turning on the email back for ActiveSync see the updates addressed the issue. I had not checked it lately / after the update so I tried today and voila! My ActiveSync email now displays HTML emails as usual in my problem email account. If all is good now.

  • BlackBerry Passport SIM card, NFC enabled in a passport

I have a new passport Blackberry running on Bell Mobility and the settings information has been transferred from my Z10, which stood on Telus Mobility, using the Blackberry Link software. With my Z10 I used the software UGO portfolio purchases Tap Visa without any problem for about 1 year. I can't get this app to work on the Passport that the error message is CAN not access SIM. I work with UGO to solve and they work with Bell. Bell sent the update of the SIM card. I went back to Bell and got a new SIM NFC and no change in the number of app acceptance.

My wife does the same Z10 Passport switch and UGO portfolio works very well. No problem with SIM card acceptance. The difference is that she has not used UGO on their Z10.

Any suggestions? The passport may lock access to NFC somehow? I don't have problems with signal as calls, texts, BBM work well, and I use the cellular signal almost all the time, rarely on Wifi. A prior carrier (Telus) could use a field in the Z10 to lock the other carriers, which then was performed by the link between the Z10 and the Passport?

Bell Mobility and the App provider have solved this problem.

    Hello
I bought the Blackberry (SQW100-1) passport in April 2015. Since then, I experienced some problems,

    1: shaking screen problem.

2: If composing an email through hub, the cursor flashes and cannot use the word prediction.
3: sometimes locking screen does not soon appear.
4: lag in lock screen notifications.
    5; Shift of the camera.
6: even if I hide BBM, facebook & twitter contacts in the contacts application, it does not hide.
7: recently my passport for Blackberry is freezing, or auto shutdown, because I have to press and hold the power button for more than 5 seconds to restart the Blackberry and it's so frustrating and unreliable, what can be the cause for it?

    My device info:

    Model: Blackberry Passport

    OS version: 10.3.1.2576

Hello and welcome to the community!

This particular version of the operating system is sadly known to have a lot of bugs, which most have since been corrected. But, to take advantage of these fixes, you must update your operating system.

Official methods, which will be controlled as to what exact OS versions are available:

Non-official methods, which are cleaner and allow you to choose a version of the OS that maybe your carrier (or anyone they control your offers) delays in approval:

Of course, before you start this, you want a good backup link, a manual copy of the memory of your device to your PC and complete documentation of your configuration (identification information of account, adding applications, configurations, etc.). Sometimes, restoring a backup returns unit corruption even, must be eliminated and reconfiguration from scratch can solve that.

Good luck and let us know!

  • Devices cannot connect to Mobile Hotspot

When other devices attempt to connect to my access point mobile (Thinkpad is Windows 10 3rd gen x 1 carbon), it shows 'failed to connect to the network'': search DHCP failed. "

I tried to use MaryFi and Connectify before (I forgot that Thinkpads have come with this ability) and they did not work.

Then I tried Mobile Hotspot in settings of Lenovo and it didn't work so I uninstalled programs 3rd third and rebooted and Mobile Hotspot still does not.

I would try to reinstall parameters of Lenovo, but I don't see how.

UPDATE: I reinstalled the parameters of Lenovo and the problem is still there

This is because the laptop itself must be on the active network connection such as LAN or devices that links won't be able to read the ip DHCP

    None fixes please?

    Hi Bobby,.

I found this thread on the venue Pro 8 and of connection to wireless networks / hot spots.  Try the suggestion in this thread and see if it helps.

NOTE: I copied on the steps of resolution here as well in case anyone wants to see it.

When sometimes, I had this problem, a deep discharge set: with power supply not connected, press the button of the Tablet for 30 or 60 seconds, including after the Tablet died;  Let the Tablet turned off for 2 minutes; and restart.  Have been informed by Support technique Dell that the cause is a buildup of static electricity, which avoids deep discharge.
