• BlackBerry Q10 in waiting for the new Q10 hit sprint but what will happen to my email?

  Currently, I am waiting for the new Q10 hit sprint.  but I hear that I have will no longer be able to use my email with the new blackberry blackberry.net.  I currently use it as my email address.  1 it's true they won't E-mail blackberry and if so what steps do I need to take to make a smooth transition?

  1. Yes, the blackberry.net email is no longer available... and quite honestly, in my opinion, it's a good thing. Blackberry.net email is not available elsewhere ON your BlackBerry, you can view it on the handheld device itself and no backup otherwise. Get a free gmail, yahoo or Outlook.com account.

• BlackBerry Q10 more things that I hate my new Q10

  1. no "mouse button"!  I chose this camera because I don't want any more 'slippery' or otherwise touch-screening as necessary.  Having a keyboard seemed like it would be the best choice, but what I really need, is a button like the trackpad button I had on my old curve, for me to 'click' and 'select' things on the screen.  Yes I can click on and select with my fingers on the touch screen, but this is inaccurate because my fingers are big and I often hit the wrong icon.  And forget about editing an email trying to position the cursor in a particular place in text typed before!  There is no way that I can touch the exact spot between two letters.  Both and so aggravating!

  2 BB has removed almost all the different ring/message tones.  My device is preloaded with only 2 really different ringtones (5 versions very similar to 'ring ring' and 2 versions of string 'Spirit').  And not a single "refine" musical rings.  Not very useful when I am trying to customize my contacts for rings.  When I went from the curve, I assumed that the same preloaded tones which had to BB at least still will be present on their next device.  It would kill them to keep including the same choices?  I tried searching online for downloads and even there, I couldn't find the same tones my venus of curve with.  Of course, you can download undesirable as sounds or sounds of crying baby blow up, but where is simple "crystal", "bike bell" or "gong"?  Nowhere else.  Why should I go hunting the internet for them anyway, when BB had obviously them.

No button 'quick access '.  I used to have my curve programmed that if I hit one of the buttons on the side of the unit, it would open when I wake up.  This device has nothing on the sides, except the volume buttons.  To open my clock, I have to go through whole-finger-le-petit-oke touch hitting swipe test each time.

  4. the button "on" is on the top of the phone, where I keep hitting all the time by mistake when it is in my pocket.  If they had buttons (see my complaint #1), this is not the case.

  5. the combination of which is hitting things by mistake and boredom of touch screens, I can barely handle the phone to pick it up or put it down without accidentally launching some app.  I can't tell you how many times I took a video inside its case, because I apparently hit the camera button while placing in there.  Is there a way to turn off the sensitivity to touch, or at least it down?  Or it affecting a blank home screen where it is not all the apps that are waiting to be touched?

  6. no record?  I'd like to be able to resolve the complaint #5 by pasting silly applications that I never use in office files.  I'm not allowed to do, apparently.

  1.) looks like the Classic BlackBerry is the right device for you.

  2.) ringtones blackBerry OS that did not exist in devices such as the Bold and the Curve are back with OS 10.3.1. The Classic BlackBerry comes with OS 10.3.1

Yet once again, the Classic BlackBerry comes with OS 10.3.1 it should begin arriving in February 2015 for other BlackBerry 10 (including your Q10) devices, depending on your operator.

• BlackBerry Q10 My BBQ10 deleted my photos and my videos!

  This is the second time that happens in 2 months!

  I take photos and videos with my Blackberry Q10. The next day, I take a quick glance: everything is removed! All that I've got are a couple of old photos and 3 photos transferred from my computer.

  All my videos are deleted.

  I have had no updates on my phone, I don't download anything new in the last few months.

  I'm not at full capacity on my phone... So, it does not remove himself because there is no more available space.

  I don't understand!

  My music is intact...

  The last time this happened, I deleted my music and it recharged. I found myself with duplicates of different songs (weird, right? Since I deleted the entire folder). After I deleted duplicates, all my reappreared photos and videos! MAGIC!

  Did not this time...

  Any ideas?

  POP! FINALLY found the problem!

  It's a problem of contact with my SD card! Sometimes, the phone detects, sometimes is not

  I received my photos and videos - I immediately made a backup and now I go to the repair shop!

  I recently bought a new BlackBerry Q10, I got a 9790 "BOLD" of BlackBerry OS 7 before that and I had backed it up in BlackBerry Desktop Software. I had no knowledge that BlackBerry 10 devices do not work with BlackBerry Desktop Software, so I sold my Bold 9790 and then bought a Q10. I need to retrieve all the data from my old 9790 "BOLD" to my Q10, but unfortunately does not work with BlackBerry Desktop Software Q10. If I download BlackBerry link it will ask to connect to my old camera to transfer files.

  So basically, I need to transfer my old phone to the new backup file.
  Please help me. Thank you.

  First of all, the device is released for more than a year and a half.  BlackBerry has put the information out there.  I easily found the information below with a quick Google search that brought up this article, KB33322

  While it has not yet been updated in order to take account of the last update for the link, I made a few minor changes to the instructions to join the same options in the new version of the link.

  Multimedia files stored on the internal memory of the device will be transferred if you check the box "Multimedia files stored on the internal memory."  Multimedia files stored under the content on the old appliance store will not.

  Here are the instructions:

  1. Connect the 10 BlackBerry smartphone to the computer via the USB cable.
  2. On the left side of the BlackBerry connection screen, click on the name of the smartphone BlackBerry 10.
  3. Select restore device > Legacy device backup files.
  4. Select the desired backup file.
  5. Select the data to be restored in the smartphone BlackBerry 10. To restore data to all supported, select the checkbox restore all data .  Choose the data to restore select Custom Restore.
     Note: for a description of data BlackBerry smartphone, refer to KB03974.
  6. Click restore.

  Glisser slide down on your home screen, then select Notifications. Set it to normal and close the Notifications. Now drag down and select Notifications again but this time it set on vibrate.

  Now, whenever you are in Normal mode and want to toggle it on vibrate, just slide down and tap the bell on the Notifications (not the word but just the Bell) and it it will switch to some notification you had before the current (in this case, vibrator).

  That's the best we can do for you.

  You can try. I don't think he'll do good. Why BlackBerry would be to blame when they provide a big warning that says do not remove the BBID if it is connected to a device?

  Please help someone because I'm so desperate to stop having BBM Manager of temporary error every day, so far the only way I can get around this is to keep to restart or take out the battery.  Whenever he wipes my cats and is usually really irritating.

  It saddens me to know that my BlackBerry Q10 does not support most of the applications that I used on my previous 9900. And to be honest, I've always used all BlackBerry bold made and have always been a big fan. If I can move to the iphone 4, 5 and currently 5 ive always ran out of typing on a BlackBerry and this is what made me bought Q10...

  Why cant you just have it support most of the applications? focus on trends instead of going to halfway? I mean, I would buy all of the bold in the future and the Passport will be beautiful too... but... go a step ur close to ios and Android... Why not throw some * bleep *?

  And it's not BlackBerry who decides what apps will be build on its phones, is application developers who decide for what platforms they will develop. If it was BlackBerry, all applications in the world would be available for BlackBerry phones.

  Hello, unfortunately my blackberry q10 has poured on with soup/stew, so far, the steps I took was to get out of the case, wash the soup it, remove the battery and spread to all parts to dry up. Nevertheless, I would like to know if there are additional steps should I take before turning on again. See you soon!

  If moisture got in the phone, you'll want to seal the battery in a bag of rice uncooked for 4-5 days minimum. If any moisture got in, make sure that all components (battery, SIM card, multimedia card) are dry and reassemble the phone and use it.

• BlackBerry Blackberry Q10 Assistant on automatically - keyboard does not work

  I have my phone Blackberry Q10 now for 1 month, and since a few days the problem has turned up, randomly Blackberry companion light automatically. Sometimes visible through the open window, App - but sometimes also without this, but you recognize because the keyboard no longer works. This can happen when you type a message.

  The wizard then opens whenever I press the power button to lock the display so that the screen doesn't lock.

  In all this is very annoying and makes the phone in time allmost impossible to use.

  The solution only little time that I found is to close the wizard via the app Manager, but then it starts itself after maximum 1 h and the problem continues. I tried to disable all the functions of the wizard, but it does not help.

  I would be very happy for any help with this problem. For example, is it possible to delete/disable the wizard?

  Have you tried pulling the battery for a few minutes?

  If it does not please re install the software via BlackBerry link but make a backup first if you want to keep your data.

• BlackBerry Q10 Q10 cannot turn off after 10.3

  I have improved my Q10 to 10.3, after that that it restarts after several minutes since I turn it off. This means that I can't turn it off and it is still running on automactially. But it can be turned off while charging.

  Perform a simple reboot on the BlackBerry this way: with smart BlackBerry poweredphone, remove the battery for a minute and then reinsert the battery to restart. A reboot in this manner is prescribed for most defects and errors of operating system, and you will lose any data on the device doing so.

  My problem with the BBM Pin code is as follows - a few years ago I had the BlackBerry 9900, and I got a pine BBM assigned to this device. Later, this device was physically destroyed and I started to use BBM on Samsung Galaxy (the same PIN BBM).

  Recently, I purchased BlackBerry Q10 and started using BBM with the same PIN (from BlackBerry 9900). It wasn't a problem, until that I've updated BBM a few days ago and then I noticed that my BBM pin has changed.

  Does anyone know why it happened and what to do with this issue? I mean, finally, I will create a list of contacts with my new BBM PIN code, but there is no guarantee that this change suddenly won't happen again.

  Good question, but so many numbers makes me headache lol just kidding. Unfortunately, this is not how it works. Different way with numbers of mail or telephone in our map. Blackberry PIN is connected with a single device and cannot be moved to another device. Your previous BBM with 123456 contacts are safe and always with you in your new PIN BBM 654321. To your new customers/friends you must inform your PIN or invite them.

  Technology can create something new. You can always tell them your new pin code otherwise you must continue to use your old device.
