BlackBerry Q10 Wifi only

Hey,.

Is anyone know how can I be sure that I will use the browser with my wifi connection when I have such a connection? When I connect to wifi, does automatically use this connection instead of my provider?

Thank you

Alex

Yes, 10 BlackBerry is designed to first use a Wi - Fi network that is connected to data transfer. If it is disconnected from a Wi - Fi network, then it will use the mobile network.

I want to give my daughter an old Verizon BlackBerry Curve 8530 to use as a device with wifi, gmail/cat-only.  It is not active with Verizon (meaning that it has long - since been disabled and is not a phone number that are associated with him).

I have trouble getting the job data.  I joined the wifi network but I can not open a Web page or gmail.  I played with all the settings of network, but found no solution.

Hello and welcome to the community!

I can't say what OS you're on, but if I remember correctly the last OS for this model was the one where there was no possibility to make it work on WiFi only. These levels of devices/OS required an active subscription from a company to a data plan BB in order to use all services, even via WiFi only.

I know that's what you were eager to learn, but it is what it is.

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry Q10 can only export contacts from Q10 to a worksheet?

How can I export my Contacts from my Q10 in a spreadsheet?

    Hello

Directly, I don't think you can. According to how you have integrated your contacts, it could be simple or complicated. If you have used the recommended method to use an OTA service (e.g., Outlook.com, GMail, etc.) as the host of your contacts, synchronize your device, then these OTA services may very well have a facility to export you want. Or, if you've been synchronization via LINK to Office Outlook, you can export and then that. If you chose the more dangerous method to only use the device as a unique storage for your critical data platform, while the process is much more difficult... it comes to each synchronization configuration of Office Outlook and then export from there, synchronization with OTA service configuration and export from there , or by using the LINK and make a backup of your device, then find a 3rd party app PC that can translate the backup file owner on your PC for something you can use.

Sorry to give you so many things, but not knowing the outcome of your configuration in multiple alternative paths.

Good luck and let us know!

  • BlackBerry Q10 can only access to I sent emails to Q10

Can I access emails sent to Q10 without a search? As in MS Outlook on my desktop, I would like to see that all have sent emails. Could do with the "BOLD".

    Hello

Well Yes... the Hub, pull up the switch left hub and switch to the account specific email (rather than the combined account HUB messages list). Then press on the top blue bar that has your account alias (that you created when you built the e-mail account). Scroll down the list until envoys and tap. You will be presented with a list from the server, all sent items that are currently in the folder on the server.

This process may vary depending on your configuration (ActiveSync or IMAP or POP) e-mail account.

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry Smartphone Bold 9700 - email through wifi only possible?

I hope I can explain clearly enough the problem to get an answer!

I've recycled from 9700 to my daughter and use the Z10 now.  I put minutes it on a basic plan which includes voice, text and BBM, but no "data from the Internet.

I would like to set up a gmail account on the phone who might have access in wifi coverage areas.  Of course, the phone won't let me, and I guess that means that the functional BBM is not an indicator that BIS is enabled.  Now the Z10 no longer requires the BIS or BES to work, I was hoping there was a way to access gmail without using the browser without hope, even if it meant that she would only 'real' mail service in wifi areas.  I remember that Google had an app of any kind at the same time - don't know if that helps or is even available now (do not suspect).

Another possible twist for this... we have BES current Lite to run at the office.  I had previously been connected with this phone (before he completely wipe) and I think that address public IP of the office is that my phone was given when you navigate on the ' net.  Which makes me wonder if the activation of the phone on the BES server again would allow me access to gmail via wifi?  Or is BES/BIS on the phone account * with the cell provider *, an absolute necessity even if wifi is the only planned to connect?

    Hello

You are right in your assumption - the features of BBM do not necessarily indicate that anything else needs to be functional (e.g., email). There are several different levels of BIS, with many different combinations of services included - all controlled by the specific plan to which you subscribe with your provider. So, you should ask them what services you can expect to work on the 9700, given the plan that you have purchased from them.

Google did indeed have an app... and I'm not sure if it exists as well. I know that he was not available for levels of OS 'later' (for example, I think that it worked on OS5, but perhaps not on 6 or 7).

I'm also not sure about your specific operating unit/system level can provide internet access via WiFi only... some can, some can't. Of course, the best way is to try and see what happens.

I think that the use of any BES requires a data plan of the carrier, regardless of the track between the device and the server (by example, carrier data network rather than WiFi). The difference is that with BES - X (if all goes well, that's what you mean by "BES Lite" you only need a BIS-level plan, but for full BES, you must have a full BES data plan.)

    I hope this helps!

  • BlackBerry smartphone how to use Wifi only?

How can I make my Blackbery Bold 9700 always use Wifi for data transfer?

I set my Connection settings to 2G only with data transfer out.

    Wifi is completely set up.

When I try to open the internet browser, I receive a cannot connect message.

Wifi shows in green on the overview of the connection, but does not give the symbol "v" green on the right.

When I turn on the transfer of data in the configuration of the internet works fine, but I get a huge bill at the end of the month for data usage via my mobile connection.

Please help me get my properly configured Wifi use.

    1. put your data Services on IT, otherwise, you get no data, including Wifi data.

    2. If your WiFi is turned on and connected to your WiFi router, data will ALWAYS prefer and use WiFi, not your mobile wireless network connection.

You can make sure it's WiFi only, by going to your connections management screen and turn off the Mobile network, and leaving the active WiFi.

  • Problem syncing blackBerry Q10 Q10

    Hello

Is a small question, possible to sync my Blackberry Q10 with Blackberry via Bluetooth connection?

Or I can do this only through the USB cable and WiFi?

    Thank you

Historically, it was hit and Miss. If your computer uses the "widcomm" bluetooth base drivers it can work. If your computer is provided vendor bluetooth drivers (toshiba or other drivers of the brand) then it probably won't work. BB software has always required that the base of windows drivers so that the bluetooth work. Even if you manage to remove the vendor provided drivers and use the base drivers you lose some of the advanced features your vendor provided drivers support.

  • BlackBerry Blackberry Q10 Assistant on automatically - keyboard does not work

    Hello

I have my phone Blackberry Q10 now for 1 month, and since a few days the problem has turned up, randomly Blackberry companion light automatically. Sometimes visible through the open window, App - but sometimes also without this, but you recognize because the keyboard no longer works. This can happen when you type a message.

The wizard then opens whenever I press the power button to lock the display so that the screen doesn't lock.

In all this is very annoying and makes the phone in time allmost impossible to use.

The solution only little time that I found is to close the wizard via the app Manager, but then it starts itself after maximum 1 h and the problem continues. I tried to disable all the functions of the wizard, but it does not help.

I would be very happy for any help with this problem. For example, is it possible to delete/disable the wizard?

    Best regards

PS: OS Version is newly updated to 10.3.2.2836, but the problem existed before the update

  • BlackBerry Q10 BlackBerry Q10 delete on a mailbox

My manager wants to delete e-mails pocket and they should not be received in microsoft outlook or Gmail server he bought Blackberry Q10, it's on Gmail, as on the previous Blackberry bold 9900, it allows to remove a particular message and bb will indicate whether to delete computer pouch or box to the letters and you choose ball and the message will not be received or downloaded in Microsoft Outlook. your help is very appreciated.

As the way current, it's getting emails on blackberry and Microsoft Outlook.

    Your support is much appreciated.

    Thank you best regards &,.

The current BlackBerry10 OS does not delete on the handheld only.

BlackBerry10 features ActiveSync from your emails with your e-mail server. Basically, it is to 'mirror', which is on your server. Delete on the server is a deletion on the handheld and delete on handheld computer removes the server.

You might consider using the function of FILE on the Q10, to file the e-mail in a different folder on the mail server and the selection of Q10 to hide filed messages.

I can search by several criteria, such as:
Name: specify one or more contacts.
Message: type the text that the search should find in the body of messages.

  • BlackBerry® Q10 Q10 email does not

I got my Blackberry Q10 for a few months and was in love with it... until recently when I started having issues by e-mail.  Currently, I'm completely unable to send mail from my POP3 e-mail address business - which completely defeats the purpose of having a smartphone.   I updated the software, rebooted or shut down cellular and wifi... nothing seems to work.

I receive emails on my smartphone and send using GMAIL, but I can't send through my POP3 server.   My email works fine on my desktop.  What is particularly annoying, is that it does not give an error message does not seem to do anything.  NO checkmark, just an envelope which makes it look like a sent email received.

Anyone else having this problem?  Any resolution?  Please, I want to continue to support BB but I need help.

    Welcome to the forums,

  • BlackBerry Q10 from sent items e-mail settings

I know that the option "delete only on handheld" does not yet exist on BB10, which is a major pain.  I learned to live with this until today.  I have two email accounts; @shaw.ca and @live.ca.  When I send an email from my PC it also appears on my phone as a sent item.  In the interest of the housekeeping I delete sent items off my phone thinking that they will always be in my items on my PC.  I consider that to my account @live.ca only, not Shaw for a reason, my folder on my PC has no items since I got my Q10, they've all gone which is a huge problem for me.  Here's my question.  Is there any kind of implement changes that can make my items on my PC are not displayed on my phone?  I never used to see them on my torch, only the Envoy that I sent from my phone.

Any really smart people out there who know a way to recover deleted items sent in Windows Live mail?  I poured on everything him net and can not find anything but it can't hurt to ask.

    Thank you all!

    Hey ddmdevin,

Welcome to the community of BlackBerry Support Forums.

Thanks for the question. In the new operating system BlackBerry 10, email will now via synchronization. Previous BlackBerry devices carried out a reconciliation. This means that, with synchronization, the Inbox on your BlackBerry Q10 will reflect your Inbox on your webmail.

The ability to hide items sent in the Q10 of BlackBerry is available, however it allows to hide all items sent to all accounts in the hub.

To hide items sent so they are not displayed in the Inbox of the Q10 (to avoid to remove permanently):

The Hub-> menu-> settings (3 vertical points)-> display and Actions-> see the elements (toggle OFF) sent.

Let us know how make you out!

    See you soon,.
