BlackBerry smartphone App World is not available in my country?

Hi all

I just bought a Curve 8520 and I really like it. I tried to download apps, I realized that the App World is not available in Romania, where I live. Is there a way around this? I really want to use some of these applications...

Thanks in advance,

LEA

Hi Leah,

You can use another store that does not have AppWorld. For example MobiHand, Handango, GetJAR, BPlay.

  • Smartphones blackBerry in Israel and the phone said App World is not available in my country

Hello, I just bought a new Blackberry Bold 9700 in Israel, and the phone tells me that app World is not available in my country. I hope Blackberry plans to fix it soon as the i-phone and androids are open here to their app worlds. Anyway, is there a way I can download apps without AppWorld? Otherwise it was the biggest waste of money ever - without the Smartphone applications are not so different from cheap phones, and blackberries just shouldn't be sold here if the services are not available.

If I go to America download while I'm there? and apps stays on my phone when I go back to Israel?

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

Please check this page to ensure that you meet the minimum requirements (including if it is available in your country):

If it is available in your country and you feel you meet the requirements at the level of the device, and then contact your provider to make sure you meet the requirements of the plan (to them) access (via their network) service to AppWorld.

In addition, AppWorld is currently accessible only through your corporate data network - WiFi is not used for access to AppWorld under any circumstances.

Further still, you should know that AppWorld is simply a portal, vending apps developed mainly by others. Therefore, it is not your exclusive supply source - there are others that you can try (e.g., Handango, Handmark, BPlay, GetJAR and Mobihand). I found that there are very few applications that is exclusive to AppWorld. You can see the online catalogue and then look for other sources of supply, including quite often on the developer website.

Finally, understand that RIM has no unilateral control over the availability of AppWorld. On the contrary, a triad of entities must agree - RIM, wireless service provider, and Government. As the main entity to profit in this triad, I've always suspected that the RIM is not one that could hinder the process.

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry smartphone App World will not recognize the Playbook password

My playbook & Desktop Manager accepts the password but App World will not. I get this error message:

    Hi Krypto,

I did a little more digging and it seems that you can not connect a Playbook through your computer to App World even though the web page indicates to do so. Playbooks can only access the App World apps directly. Thanks for your help.

  • BlackBerry smartphone App World is not compatible with the phone 8705g

Help! App World is not compatible with my 8705g phone so, how do you want to download apps?

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

Well, you can try to bypass AppWorld... it is simply a portal and storefront for applications developed by others... so if you were looking for the application you want, you could just met a different window from which you could get.

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry smartphone App world does not

For a month I could not upgrade or download anything. He keeps asking a blackberry identity. Press ok to update. Then, it loads for a long time. I then restart my phone, and the same message appears. I am tired of updating my app world but it does the same thing. I see I'm not the only one having this problem based on the reviews I read. I have too many problems with blackberry, and it's going to be the final straw for me. Apple/Android here I come.

    Hello!

Missing the exact error message and complete you are seeing, we do some guess... Here's mine (if, that is, you are interested to solve this... If, instead, you leave BB, then you can ignore all this):

    • KB29501 'BlackBerry identity Setup error, please try again later' when you try to install an update for BlackBerry BlackBerry App World identity.
    • KB29300 "An identity BlackBerry update is required" message appears at the launch of BlackBerry App World 3.1
    • KB29613 The error "failed Installing BlackBerry identity. Please try again later. (80003)"appears in BlackBerry App World

I hope that they contain something useful! There are also several existing threads on this site, which discuss exact error... your opinion of those who may prove useful, and a search of this website, by using the error message, error code or symptom, should reveal all the existing threads that are applicable to you.

  • BlackBerry smartphone App appears as not available for this device

I have a 9700 OS5 running imapmyrun very well. Then I lost the camera and got a replacement. When I get home now myworld he says that the application is not available for this device. I tried to reinstall the operating system and also clear cache myworld appworld but I can't get this app to appear as anything other than unavailable. On forums I said that this means that it is not available, but then how did you manage to run this 3 days ago on exactly the same device on OS? Any ideas?

I suggest you contact the vendor of the application for additional support. They will be able to confirm or deny if the application is available for your device.

    See you soon,.

  • BlackBerry smartphone APP world will not register

    Tried to download some applications.

I have always access the authentication ID BB... page and getting stuck there.

The massage I get is "enter the name account a partner to this smartphone ' which can be translated approximately 'enter the id of the user associated with this smartphone?

I've updated apps BB, it has not changed a thing.

Is there a way of "associate (my) id to this smartphone. I can't get what I'm obviously missing :'(

    Thanks in advance

I think that you are on the right track now.

With regard to the 9900... Yes, carriers load their bundle of BONES for the BB, and they grow in the Service books specific to BB for the things they want to encourage their customers to use (for example, their specific map app, their specific App Store, etc.), but the base OS comes from the RIM.

In addition, they may or may not have created a BB ID to this topic... with what we can see now and that you remember (or, more precisely, can't remember), we have no way of knowing for sure.

All we know is that there is a BBID saved with this BB and, if you don't find the credentials for that, your only option will be clean and create a new ID from BB to use with this BB.

    Good luck!
