BlackBerry smartphone Bold 9780 cannot use BB browser when wifi connected

I recently started using a new BB Bold 9780 (BB6).

It of a beautiful phone... and navigates very well with GPRS / 3G.

However, if I turn on wifi, (connected to my home wireless router) the browser does not at all.

"Cannot find the requested server.

I have a Netgear router and it is very good for other devices.

BB 9780 wifi session is set to WPA

I have a dataplan with Virgin.

I conclude that the wifi does not work and it would be very disappointing... and sounds weird!

When all sales representatives say that he is an active wifi device.

Does anyone have any tips or tricks?

I was wondering if Opera 5.1 might help - but the opera died when I tried to launch it!

Well, I finally fixed it.

My BB was not able to connect to my Netgear router, but it could connect with happiness with the wifi of my neighbor.

I turned off the WMM security setting on my Netgear router advanced setting Panel.

Bing, the BB is now wifi.

Result.

    problem solved by a hard reboot of the appliance (remove the battery all in device on).

    I will install the latest version of the software for BB device (v6.0.0.546), in the hope that it will be more stable.

    I forgot to mention that it started after that I bought a 1 day pass data from my carrier (Fido).

    I contacted Fido and BlackBerry (via Fido) assistance and the ultimate solution was to buy a data plan that would solve the problem (my PIN has been set at idle on BIS).

    To solve the problem, I did a "reset to factory defaults" via BlackBerry Desktop Manager and I have restored the last backup I had before I bought the data in 1 day pass.

    My camera is in a State where applications operate in Wi - Fi 100% of the time

    I suggest the following:

    (1) registry HRT

    • Homescreen > Options > Advanced Options > host Routing Table > (it matter little what line is current) > sign up now

    (2) Service reference books

    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service

    (3) restart to take batt

    • Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

    It was OK before but no more.  I can only browse on the site of blackberry except that nothing.  I'm looking for something or access a new website it shows a white blank page and loading msg... nothing appears.

    The email works fine, messenger and even Yahoo 3rd party browser.

    Try this, with the POWER YOU delete waiting for battery a minute or two and then re - inserted and left entirely re - start. This should solve your problem.

    It's weird. Ago, I installed a simulator of 9000 "BOLD" (4.6.0.126) and have been running and fine Eclipse debugging very well. Today, when I run the Simulator and try to establish a connection through the browser to test an OTA installation, I get an alert: "this is a Wi - Fi service.     Two suggestions:

    (a) start the WiFi on the device.  Just use the management of connections, Set Up WiFi and let the search - he wall find a default WiFi Service

    (b) check the default browser.  Options of--> advances... _ the browser.  Make sure that it is browser or BlackBerry Browser and not the HotSpot browser.

    Sounds like you just switched to Hotspot browser by default.  However, I tried just that myself and do not see the same symptoms.  So maybe not.  But anyway give it a try.

    around on this issue... the only way I found to fix this was to reset the device completely and synchronize "fresh" from my computer. Note: has happened since then, and every time that it is when I use the camera to change a recurring APPT.
