BlackBerry smartphone how to find BlackBerry backup voice note files?

I don't know where my BlackBerry backup files are?  If I find I can look to see if a series of voicenotes I did in October/November is there & can I restore these?

Hello

Voice memos are not elements of database and therefore are not part of the backup procedure... see this:

  • KB03974 List of database for the blackBerry smartphone

These databases are what manages the backup process. With some versions of the Desktop software, you could include the content of the memory of the device... so if your voice memos were stored there, then they should thus be included in the backup file... and you had a selective memory of the device only restore to restore (keeping in mind that it will restore ALL the memory of the device not only the voice Notes).

You can use a drive IPD/BBB, part 3 on your PC... I heard good things about MagicBerry... to analyze your backup file to see exactly what it contains.

If the files in question are not contained in the IPD/BBB file and were not copied separately (for example, via the mass storage Mode) to the PC, then if they are also cleared from the BB, then files are unfortunately gone for good.

Overall, my own personal for my weekly Desktop software backup process is to make the backup with the desktop software, but then more, via the mass storage Mode, copy all the contents of my device memory and Media Card on my PC as well... just in case... you never know what might happen. Oh... and I included a manual backup of my BBM contacts to my media card as well.

Good luck!

You can't look "inside" a backup. Just use iTunes to sync with your iPhone, then you'll see a separate category for voice memos in the sidebar.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones voice note file conversion

I'm on Windows XP.  On the Pearl, a voice note file that is created is a .amr file.  I can create a more standard file as a .wav or what software is recommended for the conversion of my XP machine does not recognize a .amr file?  Thank you.

Hi and welcome to the forums!

It would be easier to get Quicktime for your XP to change the file type of the Blackberry.

    QuickTime can play .amr files.

It seems that you want to restore the files removed from the memory card.

I will definitely help you with this.

I would say you can search the Internet for data recovery software by using your favorite search engine.

  • How to find the path of a file

    Hello

    I have Windows 7 Starter.

The search utility can be used to search for files by using the ' * ' wildcard, but unfortunately it does not show the path for no results.

I would like to know how to find the path of a file of my choice.

For example, I record a radio on the internet, which is then saved as "MP3". Now, I want to edit such a file, but I need to know where the file is actually stored. Simply access within a 'library' does not show me where the file is actually located.

How to discover all paths where a particular file format?

I hope to receive a response to this request.

    Kind regards

    Rayt333

An option for the search utility see the paths for all of its results, would be useful.

    Hi Ray

Overall view for the search folder for Detailsof Windows Explorer , by using the View Menu on the right side of the toolbar.

Click on the last name column heading and select the folder item.

If you do not see the folder item, click other, scroll and select the folder item. This will add the folder column.

Use the left mouse button to drag the folder column to the left, next to the column name .

Now, when you perform a search, the folder column will show the path of each file found.

Unfortunately, this is not possible with the BlackBerry backup files. They can only be restored to a BlackBerry.

    Can these memos be ringtones?

    Hey CarlaL,

Welcome to the community of BlackBerry Support Forums.

    Thanks for the question.

Yes you can create voice Notes, it is part of BlackBerry Remember.  Create a new entry and you will see the option for the voice down note.

You can also use the voice as a ringtone note, go to settings > Notifications and when you select the tone don't forget to choose the music to go and it is listed under the Voice folder.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

    See you soon.

  • Help! How to make a backup of the files?

Hello! I have a T61 with vista installed. I want to take backup of my files and settings. How can I do? I've heard of the Thinkvantage tool - Rescue and Recovery, but it shows my phone. I guess it has not been installed on it. Although other tools like Client Security soln, productivity Center, Power manager are installed.

How can I me rescue and recovery tool?

Also, how much space the backup care... .i want to know because I will use my HD to store the backup.

P.S.: No longer doubt... What is the specialty of the blue thinkvantage button... What is his role?

I am new to mobile phones... and afraid to try to use it... any help will be much appreciated!

Main ThinkVantage Tools page is here: http://www.lenovo.com/thinkvantage

    You can download R & R here:

    http://www-307.IBM.com/PC/support/site.WSS/MIGR-4Q2QAK.html

Also, please read the link at the bottom of this page for reasons of R & R and the Guide deployment for more information.

When you run Windows, you can push the blue ThinkVantage button and that should run the application Productivity Center.  This is a popup window that is a helper.

When you first power on the ThinkPad and you see the screen splash ThinkVantage message, if you press the blue ThinkVantage button at this time you will launch in the zone of rescue & recovery of funds.  (Of course, after having installed R & R).    The screen pre R & R area resembles an environment of pre-seed windows you can start to where the operating system is no longer available or you cannot start to it.  The R & R pre screen area, you can restore your system from one of your saved backups.

  • BlackBerry smartphone how to restore a backup of Q10 on a Bold 9900

Sorry, didn't like the Q10.   She was 2 months old and abandoned.  How to transfer all my contact information. the Q10 for the bold 9900?  Both phones run on different fund managers.  I have a PC and have the link and the blackberry Desktop Manager software.

Sheldon is correct, you cannot restore a backup of Q10 to a 9900...

However, if you are looking for just your contacts, installed the third-party application part Intouch Contacts of AppWorld on both devices. Backup your contacts to InTouch on your Q10, then restore this file to your 9900 by logging in on the same account in InTouch

It's simple in Act! Go to the call log -> click on Menu , then select Options -> voice mail. In the access number put your carriers voicemail mailbox number. Some carrier requires your password which you can also put in the.
