BlackBerry smartphone how to stop email account Gmail - but keep it registered for the calendar?

I have a secondary e-mail (Gmail) account that I use for my Google Calendar, so I need to save to maintain synchronized calendar on my Blackberry.

But I don't want emails from this account sent to my Blackberry.  (Emails from this account are already sent to my main account, so now I get double e-mails on my Blackberry which is irritating, especially since they come from different times.)

How can I stop my Blackberry to get e-mails from the account side, while keeping this one only for the calendar?

Thanks for the tips!

BTW, I prefer not to rely on or to pay for an app of the add-on. I guess it's a feature of basic Blackberry that I just can't understand.  I have also tried my provider, Verizon, Web site, but found nothing relevant.

OK, not difficult at all.

Set up your gmail account to push the BlackBerry, as it looks like you already have.

Now, back to the account setup BIS, where you entered your email and password for this account and click the FILTERS.

Choose notto transfer messages to the device. The change is saved automatically.

KB04389 Change the filter action by default when no filters exist in your BlackBerry Internet Service account

  • BlackBerry smartphone how to stop receiveing messages from email account?

Hi have a new 8110 pearl.  I got it through AT & T.  I have it configured through BES.  I get e-mails from work through the BES.  I experience personal and updated messaging in place to receive emails from my email account staff earthlink.  I decided that I do not like this upward since I can't configure the BB for work and personal emails go to separate folders (staff who goes to a separate folder and the e-mail folder and work emails go to the general folder only).

In any case, I want to delete the earthlink e-mail account in the BB.  I removed it since the whole book, but I still get emails?

No idea how to fix this so that the emails stop earthlink showing upward?

    Thank you.

Go to the e-mail settings icon on your home screen. Sign in using the username and password (if passoword used when setting the initial configuration).  Go to Email accounts to the service and click on the button Delete in the email ID you want to delete.

  • BlackBerry smartphones HELP! My email accounts to manage has been removed by updating!

    Hello

I was going to change the setting for one of my accounts on my Torch. I tried the installation application to do this and when I try to open the section that says "manage email accounts" I received a message that I needed to update this software... .so I admitted it and in the download process, asked me if I wanted to replace the old version with the new... I admitted it. The download process could not be completed... whose know why! ?? And now I can't access the emails or adding new accounts management application because the application has disappeared! It has been deleted in the process!

Help! How can I fix!   :-(

Do not worry, I'll have you to spot and exploit again at any time.

Connect your phone to your PC via USB and open BlackBerry Desktop Software.  (If you have not installed, go to www.blackberry.com and look up under Apps & Software).  Open Desktop Software and do a data backup.  Once the backup is complete, click on the device in the upper part of the BDS and update the menu drop down.  If you already have a backup of the data on your phone, choose device and then restore instead of the device and then update.

If you chose the Update menu: you can say that your phone is already up to date.  If so, look for and click on see the other Versions.  When it opens, make sure that your current version is checked and click on update.  This will restore your Setup email on your phone application icon.

If you have chosen the recovery menu: there will be a list of backups that you have made on your phone.  Choose the most recent (top).  Once activated, click on restore and your email application icon will be set up once more.

Let us know if that helps you.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones how can I install app gmail google for

    9320

Hello and welcome to the community!

It is my understanding that Google has withdrawn support for the BB of its mobile application platform. For example, you cannot use it more (note that to Google, not the decision of BB).

Fortunately GMail accounts integrate very well into native management bis email, so you should still be able to use your GMail account on your device 9320.

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry smartphone how to stop my blackberry deleting my messages!

    Hello

I had a lot of SMS, surprisingly, many of them have been deleted automatically!

I heard that it can be removed automatically when there is little memory space, but I keep an eye on the memory left!

    Integrated multimedia storage:

    Total free: 61% 3.7 GB
    Total: 39% 2.5 GB

I use blackberry for businesses, so I also receive important SMS. How can they get deleted so ideally? !!

I also do not seem to find an option to stop this!

And by the way, this is not the first time.

See if you can set it up to keep it forever here:

  • BlackBerry smartphone how to disable email automatic download?

I'm new to BB. Just got a Sprint Tour 9630. I have 5 email accounts; and I want to choose those who and when to receive mail on their part.  With the BB I would like to set up my e-mail account, and then choose not that it is active, unless I have indicate that I want it to be active.  Is there a way I make reading email on an account inactive without deleting the account?    I don't want to go through the work of repeated configuration and deletion of accounts.

The reason that I address email accounts active and inactive when I'm home, I want to read emails only about this and not go to BB.  However, when I'm on vacation, I would coming emails for BB. I get anywhere from 15 to 65 emails a day and you want to avoid additional costs for their management in two places.

    Yes, me too.

There is not a good solution for this. You are on a personal account of BIS, and your BlackBerry does what it was intended to do, and what made famous RIM-'push e-mail '.

Your options are to delete the account and reset each time, or at all least in BIS email setup, check and uncheck the section "transfer the messages on the device.

  • Schedule of blackBerry Smartphones - how to stop embarrassing birthday notifications?

whenever I go to my notification bar to check a Facebook or text the full screen message is full of boring birthday notifications. I have checked/unchecked everything but they are constantly appearing.

How can I keep the calendar to post reviews?

You have any other appointments in calendar on your BlackBerry instead of birthday appointments?

    Otherwise:

Open BlackBerry Desktop Software, the connected BlackBerry

Go to device > clear data

Click any calendar and press DELETE.

This will remove all appointments in calendar on your BlackBerry.

  • BlackBerry smartphone how to activate email afterwards security?

    Hello

I did a scan of security after the backup, then I restored my Blackbery Bold 9700 but I'm not able to activate my emails even after I type the password for the e-mail activation. all help will be greatly appreciated.

Call Fido and tell them you want to get set up on their site online of the BIS, http://fido.blackberry.com .  Once you have set up, you can add addresses email on your phone, delete them, validate the passwords for them, etc.  Whenever you have to make everything about the email addresses on your phone, you log it and take care of business yourself.

Give them a call for the resolution of this problem.

I hope that I helped you.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones how before SMS & Email to the Messages folder?

First time BB user, got the flick of BB8220 yesterday. Happy with the service so far.

The only concern I have is that the SMS messages I get are the SMS folder and not the folder of Messages, and it seems to me e-mail aren't either. A friend sent me 3 different messages (BB Messenger, Email, SMS) and 3 went 3 separate files.

Is it possible to have all messages, regardless of type/style, to filter automatically in the Messages folder? It would certainly help the organization time and money.

Hello and welcome to the Forums of Support BlackBerry.com.

    Yes.

You can have all three of those you mentioned go to your main messages folder.

First of all, for SMS. Open your main messages folder > Menu > Options > General Options > Email and SMS Inbox = combined, then SAVE.

Second for the BlackBerry Messenger > open BBMessenger > Menu > Options > show Conversations in message list = Yes, then SAVE.

    Good luck.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones adding a new email account

Can I add a new e-mail account to send or transmit messages?  The reason for this is that I don't want these messages uploaded to the server.  I use another client of mail (No BB) that accesses this account and I want the mail to go.  When I tried to add this account with a fake password, check it BB could not and would not let me add it.  Is there a work around?

    Hello!

If I understand you correctly, you want to be able to send from an e-mail account on your BB, but not receive this account on the BB. If so, then do not use a dummy password. Instead, configure the account properly and then set as default filter 'do not forward' and then nothing comes back to the BB from the server.

  • BlackBerry Z10 how bulk delete email - not 5 or 10 by selecting all the emails one by one, but 'delete before... '. "or similar

    Hi Cimmunaute

as you often work and as you say you have a lot of emails: how to remove the masses as delete block? on my old blackberry (except z10 newstes) I had the option "remove all front of (...)". Date"in the context menu, and could remove 1500 emails with a tap. do you know how to do this now? There is not such a function, we have to type and mark each email, even if there are 2000! crazy!

    Thank you very much!!

BB: Please urgently add functionality...! I have an imap account with approximately 200 emails a day that are just a copy of the mail of the company and need to delete hundreds every day. I can not press on and select all mails only one and then delete.

Go in the hub, select e-mail account, just under the blue email account, click and hold the date below it, cursor appears on the right, click Recycle Bin (before deletion).

  • Upgrade to blackBerry Smartphones to v5.0 added a 'default', but with all my data in calendar

BlackBerry Curve 8900.  Despite the backup in advance the 5.0 installation always messed up my SETTINGS and programs as in the past.  This time, I find a new calendar called by default instead of using the existing calendar based on the name of my e-mail account that I sync with my iMac.  Now all my appointments have been made and nothing in my own email.  I have appointed my old calendar by default, but which seemed to have made no difference.  I'm never, ever going to level again.  It screws up everything and backup (I do it on a PC) does not completely protect my existing configuration.  I wish that RIM could not understand how to upgrade an operating system while leaving your settings and software only.  Other systems seem to be able to do.  Really, I prefer to use my smart phone more to settle.  I hate to be grumpy, but he has so much time.

Can I do all this to get the appointment to which they belong?  Thanks for any help.

Sorry, but I found the solution I need.  I did a different search that has sent me to a document that told me how to merge calendars.  you open the calendar go to the menu > options' when it opens type 'MOVE' (IMPORTANT because it threw me for a while, there is no window for typing, just type). a menu then asks if you want to merge all of the calendars that works then.

I must say that the book is full of (incomprehensible to me) reasons, why the upgrade mess with your setup in the first place.  I have an ipod touch and upgrades are seamless.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Can I put an alarm clock without having it show in the calendar?

When I put an alarm clock, it appears as a daily entry in my BB calendar, which remains even when I turn off the alarm.  I'm not - I just need one-time alarms.  Is there a way to simply set an alarm and * not * include a calendar entry?  If not, does anyone know of a program that makes it easy (I like it, how it is easy for the clock this)?

You can do it.  Calendar, (menus), General Options. Scroll to the right.  See it alarms the value no.

Do not hesitate to distribute laurels and mark this one resolved if this hits the spot for you.

    Hi all

I searched a bit and couldn't see anyone else with this problem (yet). If I'm wrong I ask your forgiveness in advance.
