BlackBerry Smartphones 6.0 Desktop Manager

Downloaded Desktop Manager 6.0. When I launched the product, I got a blue screen of death with the file name ATI 3duag.dll BF271800 base 46eb3954 date BF16B000. Had to restart manually. Are there known issues with ATI graphics cards. Is there a work around for thanks!

Have you tried updating your video drivers?

Desktop uses WPF, which experienced problems with some drivers.  Using the latest drivers usually solves the problem.  ATI is usually good enough to have updated drivers.

I just got my Torch 9800 replacement since my first only the battery was drainning (apparently a common problem).

Until I returned my old Torch 9800 I backed up and also used the device switch option in Desktop Manager. When it asked me to connect the new device, I unplugged the old camera, he took to the shop orange and then plugged my new camera.

Then an error has occurred and asked me to update the software on the new device. I did it... and then when I use switching devices, it asks me to connect the current device but the problem is... I don't have the camera more.

As I backed up all the data, I did a restore. He restored most of the data, but it has not restored my apps.

Any idea on how I can do?

I hope it is interesting all that.... and I get a better battery life this time!

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

Ah... never mind. While the device switch Wizard can indeed move a few apps, the backup/restore process does not have applications. So, in the State you are in, you must go to the source of your applications and re - get them. If you by AppWorld, the process is very smooth:

    • KB17625 How to install or transfer has already purchased apps from BlackBerry App World for BlackBerry smartphone

If you have from other sources, then you should see if these sources are a simple way for you. I hope you have good record of all your activation keys... and some will indeed have to be regenerated some developers to attach the key on the BB SPINDLE, which is now different since you have a new device.

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones PC and Desktop Manager cannot detect my 8520 phone

My PC and Blackberry Desktop Manager do not detect my 8520 phone when connected to my PC.  I tried all the suggestions for example remove/replace battery and reinstall the desktop software. But when I look under Ports, in my device manager there are two entrances: -.

V2 (Com3) RIM Virtual Serial Port and

RIM Virtual Serial Port (Com4) v2

Is there are two entrances, and this could be the source of my problem?

I now have my PC and Desktop Manager recognize my phone.  It seems that one of my firewall settings were changed. [[Firewalls is sometimes more trouble than they're worth!]]

  • BlackBerry Smartphones 8320 Curve Desktop Manager

    Hi all

When I plug my Blackberry Curve 8320 to my computer Desktop Manager begins and starts checking the updates of the application, but does not worked for 2 hours straight without stopping and it only about 2 weeks since I finally hung it.

    Any suggestion would be appreciated.

Desktop Manager is not the best programs, he has problems. I uninstalled and reinstalled mine several times. Why don't you try that... remove everything and load it onto. It's a bit of a pain, I know, but I hope that suits him. Make sure you have the latest version of too - 4.7. Here is a link:

I would get one without the Media Manager because it is smaller and works better for me. I have the media manager, but if you then by all means use it.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones SLOW BB Desktop Manager

I have about 6,000 names in my Outlook address book. When I sync, it seems that the Desktop Manager will back and back and back and forth between my laptop and 8900... MORE time than necessary. I tried to make the minimum settings, but there are still forever. What I am doing wrong?

I made sure the RIM is aware of this problem... waiting and I will post the answer. For $30 / month and the cost of 4 BBs so far, they owe it to the customer to solve the problem. Of the best burning software.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Dont' use Desktop Manager

I rarely use the destop manager on my PC.  Is it a bad thing?

If you use the calendar or contacts on your device at all, I would like to use DTM atleast once a month and do a backup or any time you make changes to your contacts or calendar.

If your device falls down for a reason, you will lose everything, at least have a backup to restore.

Yes, I understand it. And I said to BB people about this technology, if anyone knows how to solve the problem. I had recently upgraded my ISP service, and my password has been changed by my ISP. When I tried to sync my BB with my PC, I was using the old password. As soon as I entered the new password, it worked well and continues to operate correctly.

  • Smartphones blackBerry desperately need help: Desktop Manager, Media Sync

    Hi guys,.

I am desperate for help. I have read through the Help menu and was functional on all night without success.

Last night I installed the Desktop Manager from the CD that came with my 8310 and I also downloaded and installed the Media Sync application on the Blackberry website. Subsequently, I decided to download OS 4.5 since my curve runs only 4.2.

I connected my Blackberry via USB and noticed that as soon as I do this, I can click is no longer on the Desktop Manager. I looked in the Office Manager in my system tray and confirmed that it "was still working", as well as in my task manager which revealed that he was still in the market.

Possibly by a moat, I managed to get the Application Manager to work and tried to install OS 4.5. I heard that it takes a while, so I left it all night with my computer expecting to come back in the morning. When I go back to him, it was still in the phase of 'back-up device', but no progress in the progress bar. Looking at my curve revealed my usual home screen. As my button cancel in the request was not clickable, I had to unplug and put an end to the program using the Task Manager.

I restarted the computer and I tried to start the Desktop Manager and plug in the unit. The Director of office prompted me for my password, I entered, and he said that it was a link on the blackberry and the Desktop Manager. I tried to click on the different options (Application Manager, Media Manager, etc.) but found that they were not clickable. Nothing happens when I click on them. I tried to look at the connection in the Options, but found that I can't click on that.

I decided to try the next Media Sync. I opened Media Sync and put my password. After that I put my password, it says that it cannot connect to the device, please try again. I click Retry, nothing.

I will go back to the Desktop Manager, unplug the blackberry, click Application Manager (as it is the only way I can make it work) and plug the blackberry again after that the Application Manager has started to work. I try to start the installation of the OS 4.5.

He starts it connects to device stage, then stops and says that he "cannot connect to the device. You will need to enter a password on the device. ». No password box appears, and the screen of my blackberry only said that it is connected to the computer.

I've included some shots of what's going on.

    Media sync

    Application Manager

    Director of office

    BlackBerry

Please note that the Blackberry is the display that it is connected to the computer, but the Desktop Manager now says it is not.

    Questions

For the screencapture above, please note how the Desktop Manager now says that the device is connected, but the same result can be shown with the Media Sync.

The problem is now resolved, but I do not know why.

Two days ago, I installed and then decided to uninstall Facebook. I downloaded the latest version of the Desktop Manager, once again, and when I plugged in my phone, it worked. I have tried since then with the same results.

I'm really happy about it! But I still don't know what happened, or if the installation of Facebook had nothing to do with it.
