BlackBerry Smartphones 8130 dead battery / flashing screen?

Hey all the... I have an 8130, used for a few weeks with happiness, opportunity and then I let my battery choke yesterday. Since that date, when plug it into USB-> PC or the wall charger BB all that I get is the white screen with blue streak through the empty battery. The backlight flashes also - from top to bottom (not extinguished/turned on) on a very regular basis. I had plugged a few hours at work, no change. If I remove the charger, it dies. I tried to hook up w / Office Manager, now that I'm at home, it dosent sees the device. JL_Cmder arrive deviceinfo either. It was not fallen or done it get wet. I just hung my Orb login for the first time and finished streaming videos (very cool btw).

so... is this just a dead battery?

I went to Verizon today store to get a new battery, and the guy he said that I have TO buy from them, and they store them. That made me angry so I left without buying a... but is it true? It seems to me that there are a lot of places sell them.

Thanks in advance!

You can buy your battery anywhere where they are sold, even an ATT or TMo dealer, you have the same battery, you, who should be the yellow battery C - M2? Even BestBuy has sometimes.

LET your connected USB and charge for a few hours and then with the USB plugged, remove the battery and reinsert. See if boots and LEAVE longer, load to 100%.

Tip, don't ever let your dough in less than 15% charge.

I have not apploader on my PC if this is helpful to all.

If you have installed, your PC, the desktop software and/or a bundle of BONES for your BB, then you apploader. Reference:

But, to start your diagnostic efforts, I recommend that you try to start safe mode:

    • KB17877 How to start a smartphone BlackBerry in Mode safe

It will take several attempts to get the combination of keys ESC (press/release/hold) OK, so be patient. When properly in Safe Mode, see what happens.

If the behavior continues, then well... think what happened just before this behavior started? A new application? An update? A theme? Something else? Think carefully that the slightest change can be causal... and try to undo all that was.

If there is no Safe Mode, I suggest that you test to see if your battery is causal. Please try this sequence... Note that, throughout the entire 4h15m process, your BB must be directly connected to a charger checked (not PC USB, not a docking station):

    1. With battery, connect your BB to the wall charger
    2. Leave it alone for 2 hours, no matter what the LED or the screen not
    3. Remove the battery
    4. Wait 15 minutes
    5. Insert the battery
    6. Wait another 2 hours, no matter what the LED or the screen not

This has been known to "revive" some BBs.

It is also possible that your battery or BB has encountered a problem... to test, this sequence is necessary:

    1. Get a known good and already fully charged battery... use it in your BB and see what happens
    2. Get access to a BB good and the same known... use your battery in there and see what happens

The results of this will show if your BB or your battery that has the problem. Carefully note please that 'new' and 'know' are not necessarily the same things. Although rare, a 'new' battery could certainly be defective. On the contrary, the easiest (and cheapest, btw) method to perform this test is to find someone with an identical BB which has no problem... trade in batteries and see what happens.

Otherwise, then you may need to consider more drastic measures - WIPE, OS Reload, BBSAK Wipe/Reload and the process of reloading OS 'skeleton '. To prepare, you should be sure that you have a full backup of your PC... Please see the Backup link in my sig auto on this post for instructions.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones stuck on the loading screen

Hoping someone can help me solve this problem.  When I turn on my Blackberry (Bold 9700), you get the screen where it shows the whitebar where the phone does... I get about 3/4 of the way through and it just stalls.  I tried to take out the battery for a few minutes and then put everything back with no luck... screen charge again that about 3/4 of the way.  Any idea why this might happen & how do I fix this?  Thank you!!!

If your BlackBerry is still under tension turned off with a black screen, follow the instructions below. The only indication of life may be the flashing red indicator light in the upper corner. Nothing seems to wake and Desktop Manager does not recognize that a device is connected.

    (1) make sure that you have Blackberry Desktop Manager installed.
    http://NA.BlackBerry.com/eng/services/desktop/
    (2) on your PC, go to start > run and copy and paste the following line exactly (i.e. with quotation marks):

    'c:\program files\common research in motion\apploader\loader.exe' /nojvm

    (3) the Application Loader Wizard will appear - click on "next".
    (4) in the ' connection: ' drop-down menu, you should see "USB - PIN: UNKNOWN". Click on the button "next".
    (5) you should see a list of applications ready to be installed for your Blackberry. Press Next and finish, and that you are well on your way to get your Blackberry to life. Just unplug and let the process finish completely.

NOTE: If you do not display the list of applications mentioned in step 5 and instead to see the message "the Blackberry Desktop Software has no Blackberry Device Software for the device you have connected to the computer. Contact your wireless service provider or system administrator', then you must download the Blackberry operating system for your support and your device.
    http://www.BlackBerryFAQ.com/index.php/BlackBerry_Operating_System_Downloads
Just select the appropriate type of carrier and network, select your Blackberry model from the list and download the latest version. Install this download and follow the steps above again and you should be on the right track.

    • Close applications running in the background. Press your Menu button for about two seconds to see what apps are underway. Make sure that the browser is closed and not on a page Web active.
    • Disable Memory Cleaner, found in Options > Security > Memory Cleaner.
    • Perform a simple reboot on the BlackBerry this way: with smart BlackBerry poweredphone, remove the battery for a minute and then reinsert the battery to restart.

There is just a black screen and the little red light flashes from time to time.

    Hi HarryTyrrell

Welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums

By pressing the button Off is not the correct way to restart our BlackBerry device, please perform a battery pull reboot as this device while is powered on remove waiting battery for a min. and then reinsert it wait until the device take a long restart. See if that helps.

If this isn't the case, then try to start your machine in Safe Mode and in Safe Mode uninstall your downloaded recently or that you think is responsible for this.

  • Battery for blackBerry Smartphones now dead fast?

Everything worked very well. Now three times the light on the top right of the BB flashes red.

    1. is there a way to see what is running on my camera so I can't find which could run battery down.

    2. the device that can remove Skypre and other applications.

    Thank you for your help.

PS. has added a few applications from BB App World. Pull quickly. Quick tips. Dictionary.

    Verizon service.

    1. Yes. If you simply press the Red "end call" key to return to the home screen application is actually open and running in the background. If you do this several times, you will have many apps open and therefore your memory will get used. If you make a habit of actually use the menu button to close the applications that will at least slow this process memory-clogging.

To check what applications run on your device in the background, press the Menu key, and then click switching Applications. You will see icons for each application it.

So now, check your applications running in the background. There are four or five applications that will always run fluently (Messages, Call Logs/phone, BlackBerry Messenger, home screen and the browser; there are other third-party applications such as BeeJive and alerts of BlackBerry that will work also in the bottom that you can not close if you want they work). Ensure that the browser is NOT on an active Web page (open the browser and select the Menu > close). Close all other applications that do not need to be running (the camera or a game you were playing or Google Maps).

    2. you can't really delete these shortcuts to application "pushed," not very easy installation. It is simpler:
To do this: create a folder on your home screen and name it "Junk" (you can choose to be more creative the folder name ). Now, highlight each unwanted icon and press the Menu key > go to folder and move it to the folder "spam". That, for each, you don't want to do.
Now, highlight this "Junk" folder, and select Menu > hide.
Out of site, out of mind. Meanwhile, feel free to complain to Verizon or their own user forums.

Now, if you have actually have Skype installed, go to Options > Applications, scroll to Skype, open it and press DELETE.

  • My Bold 9900 blackBerry smartphones is dead and cannot be repaired

    Hi all

I have a Bold 9900 I bought in February 2012. 3/4 months, from time to time, it displays an indicator of battery missing on the screen. This has been resolved to remove and insert the battery again.

A couple of weeks, it exploded and, when you try to turn it on, only the red light was on while the screen is off. I brought in a Blackberry service center and today they gave it back saying that it cannot be corrected.

600 euros wasted after 28 months.

I am a single BB client since 2005 (with the old 8700) and I am really disappointed with such a bad customer service.

Is there anything else I can do? (Other than buying an iPhone?)

    Ciao!

    Hi JSanders,

    Thanks for your reply.

The phone was finally repaired. It seems there was an infiltration (even if I'm not Recalling the cases in which it may have wet). An internal Committee was replaced and now it works.

    Ciao!

  • BlackBerry smartphones is the battery of my Blackberry Bold 9900 death?

So I had this phone for about a year and a half. I'm under contract. Its been a couple of days and his agi upward.  I have fully charged aura and within 1 to 3 hours, the battery will reduce by 50%, even with minimal use. I already checked if I have programs that run in the background and nothing. I also deleted all the apps that I don't use, and that did not help either. So I decided to restart the phone thinking it was probably just a temporary problem.  Well, when we turn back, the battery has been completely drained (according to the icon on the phone), it's the Red of the battery with no bar.  So I went back and charged him and he immediately showed them was still left half battery (it literally went a half of the white battery red battery).

Whenever I plugged it in the wall, it works very well and doesn't show any problem. As soon as I use it freely is when problems occur. I had to take my charger everywhere with me for the last two days.  What is happening with my Blackberry?

Thanks in advance to anyone who helps.

This is the reason to worry, just here.  A good smartphone battery will give you a year and a half to two years of reliable service depending on usage, of course.  What we can do is eliminate it is a software problem.  Once we have eliminated that, all that remains is for you to get a new battery, knowing that yours is on its last breath.

I would like you plug your phone to your PC and open BlackBerry Desktop Software.  Once your phone is connected, click device at the top of the software and then restore.  Choose the most recent restore point and load it on your phone.  Once that your phone has rebooted, see if the problem persists.  If so, go out and get a new battery (or, better yet, a new phone BB10).  If the problem corrects itself, then you are welcome.

Keep us updated on your progress.

  • BlackBerry smartphones, what does the flashing light green?

    Hey all,.

Have a curve 8330.  I know what the red and blue lights indicator means, but that means the light green?  I have no new messages or missed calls.  He started in the last two weeks.

    Thank you.

    Rosie

    Welcome to the forums

The green light is usually an indicator of coverage. Go to Options > keyboard/screen and seeing set of coverage on the off position. Who help me?

You can also try a battery pull:
    1. remove the battery while the phone is turned on
    2. wait a few seconds before inserting it again
    3. wait for the long end of the boot process (takes a few minutes usually)

This clears most of the software problems that occur on the BlackBerry from time to time. You can also use Quickpull, a free application that simulates a battery pull without removing the battery: http://software.crackberry.com/product.asp?id=27660
A battery pull gets lost when using the applications memory and clears minor software errors that creep over time. The blackberry is running an operating system just like your PC is running windows and battery pull is the equivalent of a reboot / restart your computer.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones unable to browse - white screen

I don't use very often my browser, but he continued today and it's the equivalent of Microsoft Blue Screen of Death.

    White. Just white.

The icon arrow down strange flash in the upper right corner that seems to indicate that he is at least trying to communicate.

Options key does not work, or do not press back in this situation. The only way to resume its regular use is to hit the red button on the end which throws me back to the main menu.

Data are enabled on the phone.

I just checked, there are no updates for my phone.

I shot / activate a couple of times and no change.

The rest of the functions are working properly, including maps. If the data is active.

    Suggestions?

    Welcme to Frums

Have you tried a battery pull - remove the battery for about 30 seconds - and replacing the battery - which allows the phone to reboot

  • BlackBerry Smartphones stuck on the home screen

The system seems to be stuck on the "Home Screen" (the screen with the background image). You can hold down the blackberry button and it will bring up a menu where I can read my email and make calls (the trackball works here), but I can't choose anything on the home screen or the great list of icons.

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

    Best!

  • BlackBerry smartphones HELP! Battery problems.

Good so I got my Blackberry Curve about a month ago, and after a week he began to lose its autonomy very quickly! He charged in full and in the 5 hours it goes completely dead. I tried to get a new battery for it, and again, it does the same thing. All solutions? If not, anyone know if I can send it as faulty offshore instead of blackberry?

Very well. Thanks for the tips

  • BlackBerry black passport with Led flashing screen cannot reset soft.

I was shooting video on the SD card when the screen went white after I stopped.  The Red Led will blink once and then 3 times before to return to the model... no response of any kind... I tried a soft reset, but nothing don't get passes, have not tried a factory reset would like to avoid this!

Now try the power button for 40 seconds. If that fails, connect the device to the pc and see if it will recognize, if so, attempt to backup of the device using the BlackBerry link, after the backup, try to reload the software. Remove the SD also and see if it will start without him.

Good luck and keep me posted.
