BlackBerry smartphones 9790 none his appeal

OS 7.1.0. Bundle 2102 (v7.1.0.746, platform 9.16.0.159)

LENGTH: It's in the last 3 months or more.

PROBLEM: When I call someone or I get a call, I hear not the voice of the other person. However they can hear me talk.

DETAILS: First I thought that the vollume breakdown, but volume indicator is up. Just in case where I pushed volume keys several times from top to bottom and top - no effect. But if I put the call on speakerphone, I hear other people talking. If I put the earphones - I hear again anyone else. Problem is that if I want to talk normally - with my phone next to my ear.

PHONE speaker works - I can listen to music on the phone, receive calls and hear the ringing of the phone - speaker works. As I said, the problem is that when I want to talk about the usual way on the phone.

I suspect that it is software problem. Any ideas how to fix?

Needless to say - phone rebooted several times after that, battery was released and handed over to, so please do not ask me to just restart, without anything else.

Thank you

PS: Just checked - current volume of his profile ("phone calls only") has the value 7, which should be ok.

I had this problem before with a blowtorch, the problem was caused by a faulty SIM card because she could not communicate properly with the network. You should see if your network will deliver you a replacement SIM card. If no, I wanted to recharge recharge the device through BlackBerry Desktop Software software.

    Severity: low

Note: I understand that this is not an application of RIM, but it is an application preinstalled in BlackBerry Bold 9790, so please take care of this. I tried to document the issue as much as possible.

I can not re - test, simply because I don't know how to install the old version. So, these are the steps that I went to join bugs:

    (1) have a 9790 Bold with the BlackBerry OS 7.0 as it was officially sold

    (2) Upgrade Bundle 2466 (7.0.0.609 Platform 9.16.0.77)

    (3) fully upgrade all official software from RIM AppWorld (Protect, Facebook, etc)

    (4) to set the phone to use location services

    Buttons 'Yes' and 'No' appears.

    9) click on the Yes"" button.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones 9790 My calendar information is missing

I sync my blackberry with my calendar outlook (gmail account) and I noticed yesterday that everything had disappeared from the blackberry calendar.  I tried to re-synchronization (from the computer to the device) and it seems to work but nothing is actually moved on the calendar.  Does anyone have any suggestions?

I found a solution, it is not the most creative, but seems to have worked.  I uninstalled the Blackberry Desktop Software, rebooted the computer, reinstalled the Desktop software and calendar sync worked.   Would be good to know why this happened in the first place, but I'm quite happy to have my schedule back.

Send me an email from the website with a link to the app, I can see
it on the BB, but it doesn't have a download option. One application that I
    Since is with Shazam.

On other devices, I can see the app in AppWorld.

I use a storm that may be responsible for the difference. AppWorld filter options that you see, based on the model of the unit?

App World allows suppliers to present special versions for different devices. And the App World Client filter apps depending on your phone model.

Since you are using storm, touchscreen BlackBerry, no wonder that not all applications are supported on the screen don't touch. However, the seller may present a version supporting storm later. So, just check them later in your App World for the missing applications.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones 9790 home screen

Hi there, please I need help.  I'm going to throw this phone against the wall.  I installed OS7.1 some time ago.  Since the installation I have no possibility to choose how th icon line I need on-screen host.

After that I made a call the lines of changes in icons from one to two to three.  on my homepage of preference screen I have that

    1. Start by typing
    2. Setting wallpaper
    3. download folder
    4. The home screen panels
    5. Resetting the dafault settings.

I used the "reset default" setting some time and it does not help with the lines of the icon that is displayed on the screen.  I have also checked all the settings and can not find the setting to change.

Now I wonder, it will help if I make a return to the top of the phone, security wipe the phone and start cratch, or do I just live it until I can get a new phone in two years? or is it a "I D 1 0 T" fault of my own.

Hello, this is not in the options.

Let's say you want the components to display 2 rows.

    (1) go to the home screen, any component will do (for example, Frequent)
    (2) lay your finger on the name of the pane (in my case, Frequent), and then drag it until the two lines are displayed.
    (3) release your finger.

Hello and welcome to the community!

I recommend that you try to start safe mode:

    • KB17877 How to start a smartphone BlackBerry in Mode safe

It will take several attempts to get the combination of keys ESC (press/release/hold) OK, so be patient. When properly in Safe Mode, see what happens.

If the behavior continues, then well... think what happened just before this behavior started? A new application? An update? A theme? Something else? Think carefully that the slightest change can be causal... and try to undo all that was.

But if the behavior continues mode without failure, you may need to consider more drastic measures - WIPE, OS Reload, BBSAK Wipe/Reload and the process of reloading OS 'skeleton '. To prepare, you should be sure that you have a full backup of your PC... Please see the Backup link in my sig auto on this post for instructions.

How do I on my device in safe mode?

I already posted this article Knowledge Base, always check the KB17877

If possible to start your device in Mode safe to remove this application, it will solve your problem.

Or if you are unable to start Safe Mode and then follow this Knowledge Base to reload the operating system:

KB10144 : How to force detect the BlackBerry smartphone using the Application Loader

But please note that this method will erase your data from the device. If you have a previous backup or using BlackBerry Protect you can restore your backups.

  • Smartphone BlackBerry Bold 9790 - error 603 & constant restart loop.

    Hello

I just got my phone upgrade a Bold 9790.

I used COMICS (version 7.1.0.32 - Bundle 33) from my 8520 curve old (V5.0.0.1036) to the new "BOLD". Or at least I tried... Everything went well until downloading the data and I finished with a white screen with an error "App 603" and there is nothing I can do because it constantly goes into a reboot loop.

I'm looking around and there are a lot of suggestions on the reinstallation of the OS, which I don't mind as it's a new phone anyway. Problem, it's that the BDS does not see the phone now so reloading in this way is a no go. I can't exit the white screen on the "BOLD" either...

    Other solutions?

Thanks a lot for any help

Age of your device is not relevant. If your usage patterns consume a lot of resources, it's the situation. But I have no way of knowing what your habits are, so I can't guide you. Basically, however, you will need to find out what is 'normal' for your usage patterns and then only worry when things diverge significantly from that. If it means charge 3 times a day due to a very intense use, that's what it means.

    • KB14320 How to maximize space and power battery life on the BlackBerry smartphone
    • KB14213 Call logs, SMS text and email messages are deleted from the BlackBerry smartphone

It is always important to correctly close applications when you are finished with them. Using the back or on the red button won't do that - those leave the app to decide what to do... and some let themselves memory-resident, consumes resources on your BB, slowing down the overall performance. On the contrary, to close an application, tap on and select 'Close' or 'Quit'... which force the application to be closed, freeing resources for your new use it consumed. Some applications will always be running (in general - BBMessenger, browser, homescreen, phone and Messages)... but, you should always close them properly - especially the browser... If we leave on a web page, it will not consume only additional resources, but the power of the battery as well.

In addition, each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy. Some have taken to do this on a regular basis as a preventive measure... some as often as once a day. Others got the app QuickPull to automate a simulated Batt Pull.

    Hello!

If it is compatible, provided by RIM device switch Wizard will accomplish the task. You can read about it here:

    • KB05421 What is switch device Wizard
    • KB05459 How to use the switch device Wizard to switch to another smartphone to a BlackBerry smartphone

If this isn't the case, then you must use whatever your other device provides and export the data to a CSV file. Then, you can use the RIM software to import in the BB:

Good luck and let us know!
