  • Use blackBerry Smartphones only 1 default contacts list

    Hello

In short, my question is: "How can I force the Contacts application on my 9780 to load only 1 of my lists of contacts by default?"

    Context:

I have 2 primary sources of contact information on my blackberry, my personal (gmail contacts) and my contacts from work (Google apps).  I like to keep these lists of contacts separate and apart from each other, but accessible if necessary.  However, this device is mainly for work, I would not have my personal contacts that appear every time I open the Contacts application.  The effect I'm trying to achieve is after the opening of the contacts--> click--> click on 'Select Contact list... '. "--> and chose a.  Is there a way to save this preference / by default, so I don't have to filter whenever I open my contacts list?

    Thank you

I would like to add my name and some contact information at the bottom of outgoing email, messages, at least the ones I have are created (as opposed to the answers), but can not find a way to do it... and at the AT & T store could not figure out how to do.  Any suggestions?

    AT & T Silly people.

    1. connect to your carrier's website you BIS. Carrier BIS connection sites are listed here:

    http://BlackBerryFAQ.com/index.php/Where_can_I_log_into_my_BIS_account%3F

OR you can connect from your BlackBerry to the icon "personal e-mail Configuration.

    2. click on 'Edit' next to the email to which account you want to change (or remove) the signature.

    3. where it says "signature", delete all the text if you don't want ANY signature, or change view you prefer instead of "sent from my BlackBerry... »

    4. click on SAVE.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones, adding a second email

When I made the original game to the top on my Blackberry Bold 9700 (using 6 OS), I have only set up my account Yahoo email, thinking that I would later get to others.  However, when I try to add an e-mail account now by clicking on "Setup" then "email account" and then "Internet mail account", I'm fired back to the file "Setup."  I can never get the "Mail Setup" screen where you select your provider.  What I am doing wrong?  How can I fix?

    Thank you.

You do not have something wrong.  The installer can be tempermental sometimes.

Bell call and tell them you want a username and password for bell.blackberry.com.  Once you get there, you can add addresses email on your phone, you can modify them, you can delete them as well as other features.

    I hope that helps you.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones, adding a second email address

    Good day everyone.

I know that I am able to add another e-mail account, but my real question is, can I add a mail account and do NOT have my BB it automatically check for messages? I want to add my gmail account, but I just want to be able to access it when iam not home. so, for this purpose, I don't want my BB to check on its own... is that what I said no sense? lol I have my blackberry email that I use for everything (facebook, etc), I want only to check my gmail e-mail caraa

Well, there are several schools of thought. But, if I understand correctly, BIS is to reduce consumption of minutes/KB on BB. BIS, which is located on your network carriers, check periodically (15 minutes is documented) for new messages to your server. If there is nothing, no traffic is generated for your BB. If there is something, it is pushed to your BB. A manual check on your part would run counter to the goal of saving the minutes/KB since you begin it on your part for the potential of zero return. It is not perfect, but this is how it works... and I'm not losing too much brain power and hope it is different. But that's just my opinion. For me, I'm used to the way it works... and with the habit, he likes a lot. That validates an old adage-'thing' 'best' for all who is the one to which they are most used.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones only restore BBM contacts - how?

    Hello

How can I restore ONLY my BBM contacts using the desktop software?  I looked through the choice of data but none like the right. I have a Torch 9800 and I use the latest office software. (6.0 bundle 1907)

I use my BB especially for work it is setup with connection of mail company so last week when I had problems they have wiped my BB and now my email and business contacts sync works well again but I lost all my BBM contacts.

In the restore office option, I use the "select parameters and device data" to select data to restore, but I cannot easily determine what type of data I should be restore so I didn't wipe my e-mail contacts existing or other parameters. Given that I had about 60 BBM contacts fields that show a counter that is close (and therefore looks promising) to the correct quantity are: Messages, folders, store of Trusted keys, stored key pocket, and recent contacts.

Any help or thoughts are appreciated.

No, you're not... the latest version is 6.1.0 Bundle 34...

See this KB for a list of all databases on the BB:

    • KB03974 List of all databases on the BlackBerry smartphone

The appropriate injector is there. It's a shame you didn't otherwise save your BBM contacts... BBM itself offers the possibility to make a backup of contacts... I've always found that more useful than the ability to backup/restore of desktop software.

  • BlackBerry smartphones can not sync contacts

I created a second e-mail on my Storm which is a gmail account.  When I put in place, it synced my contacts and added to g-mail account (which I didn't).  Now, I can't sync my list of contacts with my Outlook through Desktop Manager.  I tried to remove the g-mail account, but it still wouldn't work with Outlook.  I added the g-mail account, but now, it will not synchronize with this account either.  When I try to configure for wireless synchronization, it is said that it is "not available" and won't let me change this option.  Help!  How to return to the synchronization with Outlook.

If I bring up the menu of options for the list of contacts, it lists my account gmail for contacts list - it doesn't list my normal mail.

Is there an any hope come back in synchronization with the Desktop Manager?  If this is not the case, how enable wireless synchronization so that it can sync with the gmail account.

Hello and welcome. In the settings of the e-mail from the Office Manager, under synchronization options, you will find the list of e-mail accounts to synchronize with. Make sure that it is set to outlook contacts. Maybe that's the problem.

  • iPad2 is auto added to my contacts list

    iPad 2

    iOS 9.3.5

My iPad has/is adding contacts to my contact list. If the person is already in my list, the list will change to everything which (I) the person has as their contact name. If the email had remained under adverse or Spam, it gets listed below under the heading of #.

As you can see, I do not use the family name to keep my list as 1st of the name. The lower part shows the unknown lists. I assume these are emails spam since I deleted 2 today.

I studied the options in the settings for that matter and found nothing. I am having trouble with iCloud for something totally different, but all have save / update / everything that's out there. [FYI, my problem w / iCloud is my deletion of a record fm it & not read the warning that the file would get dumped fm my machine.] [I'm trying to maybe hopefully retrieve].

    Suggestions? Please?

You use the iOS Mail application?

Since the last Windows Update August 17, I can no longer connect my computer to my phone smart blackberry to sync my contacts and calendar

Thanks for your help. I decided to check with my Blackberry service provider, and they were able to fix the problem by simply removing and then reinsert the cell phone battery while it was connected to my computer. The old trick 'the battery '. Never thought of that.

  • HELP blackBerry Smartphones... transfer contacts

Blackberry style 9670 phone. has just been cut. no power nothing. I got a replacement phone. How to transfer my contacts because the phone is dead. Incidentally, I have blackbery protect on the dead phone. How to recover information. phone is dead... Please HELP

Hello and welcome to the community!

If the old BB is really dead, then it is not available as a source for restoring your data to your new device. Instead, you must use another source, one that you created before the old BB died.

If you made a backup of office, you can use the backup as a restore source file:

    • KB10339 How to use BlackBerry Desktop Software to restore data from a BlackBerry smartphone from a backup file

If you were synchronizing with a Desktop Organizer (for example, Outlook), then you can use that as source for restore reconfiguring the RIM Desktop software now work with your new BB:

    • KB03315 How set up the synchronisation of data using BlackBerry Desktop Software organizer

As you use BB Protect, is also an available food source:

    • KB25063 How to use BlackBerry Protect to restore data on a BlackBerry smartphone

You must be sure to connect to, on the new BB, the same BB ID that you used on the old BB. If you have already created a new ID BB on this new BB, then you go to your old ID BB:

    • KB26694 How to change the BlackBerry ID on a BlackBerry smartphone or BlackBerry PlayBook Tablet

This will allow even you to migrate other things that were on your old BB - for example, documents of purchase/download AppWorld.

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones where are my contacts saved on my computer?

I backed up my bb storm 9500 to my computer using the bb Desktop Manager. I now need access to my contacts list on my computer that my phone is broken and far to repair. I have no other way to get some contacts but can't seem to find where, on my computer, he decided to store them so that I can view.

    Help, please

    Thank you

Hello and welcome to the Forums of Support BlackBerry.com.

Your backup files are stored in a *.ipd file extension, often in your 'My Documents' folder.

So, look over there, or search the entire of your PC for *.ipd and you should find it.

Now, the IPD file is not usable by any other program except the BlackBerry.

If you want to use the data in this file, you will need an application named ABC Amber IPD Converter to extract the address book, etc., for use.

When you get your BlackBerry back, you can use the IPD file to restore your data to the new device.
