  • Case of blackBerry Smartphones? The ringer volume?

Hi just got my first blackberry yesterday and I'm a bit confused about two things... I hope someone can help.

First of all, what exactly is the case... I noticed on some of the volumes alert there one in and out of the Holster option. I was wondering what it means? I know that is the case, I am just confused with the thing of the entire volume.

Second, is there a way to lower the volume of the ringtone, I know that you go to profiles and I have it on normal and the ring tones and text are very LOUD. Is there a way to lower these volumes other than silenting them.

    OK, I lied three things...

in the profiles, which is the only option of phone for?

I'll try and these for answer you.

1 case is the black leather cover that is in the box when you bought your BB. It has a magnet on the front which puts your BB sleep when it is inserted and prevents dust and bumps occur.

    2. volume of the ringtone, go to options and scroll down to the tip and you won't be able to adjust all volume, ringtones, etc. of their each profile.

3 phone only option is exactly that. Only the phone will ring at least before you change the tones/Ringer.

    I hope this helps.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones phone stops ringing when only I pick it up

    Hello

    I have a Blackberry 9720.

    1. I want to know why my phone stop ringing when I pick it up to answer?

    2. How can I me it ring any longer because she sounds for such a short time?

    Thank you very much

    Barbara

    Barbara,

    1. I don't know why what is happening but reloading your operating system using BlackBerry Desktop Software should fix this. To reload your operating system, plug your phone into COMICS on your PC and click on the device in the upper part of the COMICS, and then click Backup. Once you have made a backup, click device once more but this time click on restore and select the file that you just created and load. If you had a touch screen, I'd say you're probably touch the screen which would negate the ringtone, but because your phone is not a touchscreen, this doesn't apply.

2-call MTN for contribution to this issue. It is your operator that controls for how many time your phone rings and they can set it to go as long as 30 seconds if you ask.

    I hope that helps you.

  • BlackBerry smartphones vibrate without ring

I have a new 8300 Curve series which is still under the return policy. I changed my profile from "Normal" to "Loud." Because the change does not ring, it vibrate when you receive a call. I changed it to 'Normal' and still get vibrate on incoming calls. I read that sometimes the battery for a few seconds will alleviate the problem. This isn't a remedy useful for me, as I have a case of Otter skin that makes a lot of time to change the battery. I don't mind pulling the battery sometimes, but if it will happen all the time I need to get a different type phone. What is the remedy and this will be an ongoing problem? Thanks in advance. J Buckley

    Hello

If this happens when you use the loud profile and not when you use the normal profile, it simply means that you need to configure the strong profile according to your needs. The name of 'Loud' is just a name. To watch how it is configured.

from the home screen, look for the Profiles icon and click on it. You will see the profile list that exist on your Blackberry. Scroll down to the Advanced section.

    1. There you will see every profile listed : normal, loud, only telephone etc.
    2. Click on one to edit it. You will get a page with several lines : level1, phone, messages, calendar...
    3. When you go in the section phone , you get to another page that is divided into two sections : in a case out of Holster.
    4. Each section, to define what to do (vibrate, ring, vibrate then ring) and how (vibrate ring 0 1 2 3 times, soft strong climbing etc.).

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Vibe AND ring NOT Vibe PLUS ring

Would love my new "BOLD" 9000 to viberate and ring at the same time, viberate firstly, stop, then second ringtone.

What's not an option?  Is it possible to make an option?

There are three utilities that I know who will do it for you:

    Ringer and vibrator

  • Help blackBerry Smartphones 8900 issues of Volume!

    Hello world

Yesterday I tried to make a call without the helmet and the volume jumps just up and down and I hear nothing, but as soon as I plug in the headphones, it works fine.

Can someone tell me what I need to do? Here in Hungary T-mobile does not support my device.

    Thank you

Curiously, he just disappeared as he came around, I was in a call and past under silent profile normal and he went. It's maybe a software problem that caused this. Try to change your profile while during a call and then to remove the helmet, maybe it will work for you as well!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones: the phone rings not...!

I put the do not disturb sign for 'NO '.

The profile is on "Vibrate AND tone"... screen turns and recognizes an incoming call and tells you how many... but not ring or vibrate.

I have an alarm... it vibrates but no dial tone.

    What have I done?

After hours of reading the manual, experimenting with settings etc, in desparation I simply turned off the unit and removed the battery for a few minutes.   When I put it all back together the unit worked perfectly... go figure! :

  • Increasing number of blackBerry Smartphones of the rings before going to voicemail

Can anyone tell me if there is a way to increase the number of rings before phone to voicemail switches?  For the moment, it sounds 4 times before moving on!

    Thank you

I now have it sorted by talking to my mobile operator who gave me the code to increase the number of rings.

  • Storm blackBerry Smartphones gives two rings then on voicemail

    Hello

When I get a call on my Storm it gives like 2 rings and diverts to voicemail gives me no time to answer call.

is it possible to extend the ring delay and divert to voicemail if there isn't a response say 30 seconds instead of 5 seconds?

    Thanks alan

Alternatively, you can do that by typing a code: -.

    * 61 * 121 * 10 * 30 #, then press call button

It will do exactly the same thing and the value of your voicemail to the maximum before it intervenes (30 seconds)

I found the above on the vodafone website and it worked for me...

    Good luck

  • BlackBerry Smartphones assign a ring alert

I am a happy owner "BOLD" and please help me... How do I (or can I?) assign an alert tone sound for events in my calendar by default.

I'm syncing to outlook and treo 680 it used to automatically give me an ALERT SOUND (selected in the menu alert) "alert reminder" 15 minutes before the event with a snooze option Visual, clear... etc.

in the "BOLD", the event has an icon of Bell as well and is alert me, but silently on the screen... I need a noise!

    Thanks in advance.

Go to profiles, do scroll to the tip, normal (or one who is active) and you have the opportunity to change any alert in each program.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones pre-loaded Ring Tones silent after the installation of your room

I recently installed your room and now my ringtones are all silent. I uninstalled your room (I had never even tried one of their tones), but I still have everything I get now is vibrate even if I put my profile for Loud. I went to the file responsible for pre ringtones and even if they are all there, they have no sound. They are all listed at 0:00 duration.

Can anyone suggest how I can recover the original ringtones. ? If I do a restore from a previous backup should file I restore?

    Thanks in advance

Only, I solved this problem by doing a soft reset.

  • Phones ring Volume blackBerry smart - is there an easier way to adjust the volume?

I just got my phone today and it seems that the only way to change the ring volume is to go through a series of 6 steps (according to the user's guide).

Change the default volume for calls

You can increase or decrease the default volume for calls. The percentage of volume is high, the louder.

    1. in the phone, press the Menu key.

    2. click on Options. 3. Click

    General options.

    4. change the default call Volume field.5. Press on the

    Menu key.

    6. click on Save.

Has anyone found a faster way? I don't want to have to go through these steps each time that I have enter and exit a meeting not to mention the risks involved if I need to adjust the volume while I'm driving.

    I'd appreciate any help available.

    Thank you.

After you set the default options, the easiest way is to go to the main menu, use the trackball to move up right and highlight the speaker, click on it and choose the setting that you want (that is to say strong, quiet, phone only, etc.)

It's the fastest way I've found.

    I hope this helps.

Hello and welcome to the community!

I recommend that you try to start safe mode:

    • KB17877 How to start a smartphone BlackBerry in Mode safe

It will take several attempts to get the combination of keys ESC (press/release/hold) OK, so be patient. When properly in Safe Mode, see what happens.

If the behavior continues, then well... think what happened just before this behavior started? A new application? An update? A theme? Something else? Think carefully that the slightest change can be causal... and try to undo all that was.

But if the behavior continues mode without failure, you may need to consider more drastic measures - WIPE, OS Reload, BBSAK Wipe/Reload and the process of reloading OS 'skeleton '. To prepare, you should be sure that you have a full backup of your PC... Please see the Backup link in my sig auto on this post for instructions.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Blackberry Bold 9700 will not ring

Hello guys. I have a problem with my BB Phone. It does not ring. When people try to contact me, it just doesn't sound. I have v.5.0.0.586. I tried rebooting by removing the battery, but still the same problem. Could someone help me please?

    Hi BiancaBogdan

It's fine if your device passes self-test.

Have you tried to change your ringtone to any default ringtone?

If the problem persists, then it could be a software problem, but this is my personal advice to stay on OS 5, because the Bold 9700 doen't have enough memory to run OS6, you can install it on your Bold 9700 OS6 but you will have to confront the issue with little memory, will not be able to install the application a lot , multiple tabs, you may experience problems such as freezing and trolling device. I suggest that you should stay on OS5 and try to perform a clean OS Reload that will correct any software problem.

first make a backup of your device using desktop software:

KB12487 : How to backup BlackBerry smartphone data using BlackBerry desktop software for Windows

Then follow this KB to recharge your device software:

KB11320  : How to perform a reload own BlackBerry Device using BlackBerry desktop software for windows software

After charging, do not restore any 3rd party application from your backup, choose a selective restore, restore only your Contacts, calendar, memo etc. Check your device and see if the problem resolves. If the problem continues then you can start with the native BlackBerry application and continue with the others.

Try it and tell us your progress.
