Hi, hope someone can help!

My BB is a little more than 1 year and worked perfectly. All of a sudden there's a week my email and messenger has stopped working. I am connected to my wifi at home and use data of O2 in the case plan.

I did a battery without effect pull.

I rang O2 helplne twice and they talked me through various operations, but could not solve the problem. Finally, they said that as it was purchased in London (it was a gift, but I have received), I needed to return to the store as it was a problem of BB. Not so easy that I live in the western part of the Ireland.

If I go to the e-mail settings , it says "your device had a problem connecting to the server.

In Status of the Service - it is said BB Internet Service connection: not connected

Connection to the BB Enterprise Server: not connected

Text messaging works very well. Browser works well too and of course I can access my email from here but it is the major concern.

    I think that you make assumptions rather than having read and understood.

    The hard reset of the word has many meanings floating around. That's why I explained and even posted a link, so that you know what I call a hard reset.

    A hard reset I describe does not remove anything. A hard reset is abbreviation of hardware reset. It is similar to the power of a computer one cold rather than just restart restart the operating system without a full power off.

    Try this: with the BlackBerry device powered on, remove the battery a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to restart.

    A dome days, I started to get a red X in trying to respond to a SMS text.  This happens regardless of which I try to answer. However I can send texts, and I can send a response failed to someone.  I can't think about all the options I changed on my phone and I have not installed new applications.  Anyone know what could be the problem?  Thank you.

    Whenever random strange behaviors creep, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

  • BlackBerry smartphones all of a sudden phone is slow and the hourglass is a field / connectivity problems

    I deleted a ton of stored information and have plenty of space.  It was running fine until Monday when I had to change my e-mail provider.  I tried to make a link to my computer to update and it is do not seem to do anything.  It is said that it is connected, but the files are not trasferring.  Also when I have updated the software to 4.7 the e-mail icon disappeared on the Desktop Manager.  Help!

    I currently have the curve 8520.

    I used my fully functional bb, which is 100% in good condition, and all of a sudden the trackpad stopped working. I could only use the blackberry button, back button, the call and hang-up buttons and keyboard.

    Assuming that he just needed a reboot, I rebooted it and all of a sudden none of my buttons work (every single button, including the keyboard) and the buttons above.

    All of a sudden now my mobile network was switched off voltage and theres no way to put on because nothing works!

    Please tell me what to do to solve this problem I have. I need to use my phone urgently!

    Can someone tell me if it is possible to write emails in Japanese language on a BB CURVE 9320? If so, how?

    I recently bought a BB CURVE 9320 and software, although able to display Japanese characters in an e-mail, does not allow typing in the Japanese language. I checked a lot of device software revisions, but the Japanese never shows in the language selection list.

This details KB on the complexities of achieving what you desire. Once you determine, based on all the factors, the package of operating system that you need, you would seek it through this Portal:

    Before continuing, please visit this thread to make sure that you have a good backup so that you can properly restore everything as you go along:

    If a package which, by the KB above, should understand that need you then you must install this package of system operating for your BB. From a PC, you can install any compatible OS package (for example, for your BB model exact number) of a BB via this procedure:

    Note Although written to "recharge" and the storm, it can be used to upgrade, downgrade or recharge any BB device model - depends on the operating system package you download and install on your PC. If this OS package comes from one carrier other carrier for which your BB was built, then remove, on your PC, all copies of the SELLER. XML...     Used email Bb bridge successfully for about a month since the purchase of the playbook. Then halfway through sending an e-mail response, the screen suddenly started flashing black and white. All bridge applications work perfectly, that e-mail is on BB Curve 9300.

    Tried all the solutions I can find it is similar on the forums, including delete 9300 battery, bridge etc., making the RST, re-installing but no solution.

    It was the main reason that I bought the playbook, so pretty useless.

    Any ideas how to behave?

    After trying all the options for similar problems listed in the forums without success, I finally found the security reset to factory settings PB sort the problem, at the expense of the loss of various data and downloads.

    Fortunately all relatively easy to recover from other sources, just in time.

    I hope this helps if someone else gets the same question.

    Based on your description, I can only imagine that you tried only the automatic methods of obtaining an updated operating system. These methods are controlled by your operator, no BB, as to what is available to you. If, for example, BB was released at the level of the OS you want, but your carrier delays in approval, then you will be offered through these automatic methods. Fortunately, there are tricks to circumvent this (assuming that some other carrier comes to present the OS level you want, of course). The easiest way is, on a PC (you can not do on MAC):

    (1) make sure that you have a current backup and your BB complete... you can find the instructions at the link in my auto-sig below.

    2) uninstall all the BB OS packages from your PC,

    (3) make sure you have the BB Desktop Software already installed

    (4) download and install on your computer, the BB OS package you want:

    • http://us.BlackBerry.com/support/downloads/download_sites.jsp
    • If all you want are the levels of BONE, it is first sorted by carrier - the carrier supports, your search will be fast. However, some carriers are much slower than others to release updates. To really get the package up-to-date OS for your BB, you need to dig through and find all businesses that support your specific model BB and then compare the BONE levels they support.

    5) remove all copies of the SELLER on your PC. XML... There will be at least one and maybe 2, and they will be located in the same way or to (it changes based on your version of Windows) these files:

    • C:\Program Files (x 86) \Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader
    • C:\Users\(your Windows username) \AppData\Roaming\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Loader XML

    6 (a) to change your level of BB OS installed (at level or lower), you can run the Desktop software and connect your BB... the software should offer the operating system package you have installed on your PC.

    6 (b) or, for recharging your BB OS level installed as well to change, work around the Desktop software and use the CHARGER. EXE directly, through step 2 in this process:

    If, during the process of 6a or 6 b, your BB has an error '507', simply unplug the USB of the BB cord and reinsert it. do nothing else... This should allow the installation to continue.

    If you are on a MAC, you are limited to only your sanctioned carriers OS packages... but can still use any level they currently have to sanction. See this procedure:

    I just bought the 9320 BlackBerry Curve, I put a phone lock code and it worked very well and unlocked each time but now after being in my Pocket most of the day a few buttons should were pressed and it says phone locked and on the screen it says-"type of blackberry to continue" (he never said this before) I do this, and then it asks for my code, I put in my original code (4 digits) and it says incorrect code, I am now on my last attempt, what will happen if I try and I no more attempts on the left? He will go on lock down and cost me a fortune to get fixed or is there something I can do to avoid this problem

    What you're saying, looks like it's your device lock password, which prevents you from your device. Only this password can unlock it, but for one reason or another it just is not be accepted. Most often, it is because of the keyboard... you may think that you type a number, but actually, it's a letter, lock shift is power or some other modifier key is not present in the same State as when the password was created. Unfortunately, with just one more attempt there is very little to try... you get only once chance, so the probability of success is low.

    I suggest you remove your battery, wait 5 minutes, then insert the battery, but wait at least 15 minutes before you try anything. Only, you get a chance, so you must leave your BB to be fully started before trying anything.

    If you fail the last time, what will happen is that your BB will wipe itself clean of everything and be as if it were when you received first of all, including the removal of the password. This is a security feature designed to protect valuable data and personal information on the device of thieves.
