BlackBerry Smartphones application memory

I use the bold 9900. I want to know how to check my application memory, because I have only 6 applications on my phone outside bbm, but my phone is still slow and sometimes it will hang and see the low application memory, delete some application.
I have reset drive hard before that I might be able to use it again, but it will still be hand after like 1 hour

Hi josh2tyte

Know the memory application available from your device on your home screen to go to Options > device > storage > under the title of storage of applications please check free space =?

If you get this message as you said on your message, try removing some applications options > device > application > locate and remove any unused application or not that you rarely use. It can help improve your memory of the application.

    Hello

For a few weeks with in a day or two, the free Application reaches 10 MB memory. Rebooting frees memory, but just for a day. I have questions-
    1. is there a way to increase the memory of the Application? Other messages it does not seem possible, but thought I'd ask.
    2. How can I find what is stored in the memory of the App? I have more than 120 MB that says: "Other" in "Application Management" (about 80 MB for app). This 120Mo continues to grow over time. 4. is it possible that some app has led to this problem or I recorded a video, etc. to the memory of the App?

I always had more than 100 MB of free space in the memory application in recent weeks. I removed all of the apps I have installed in the past weeks, but nothing helped.

Any help is appreciated... Sorry for the long post, wanted to be more descriptive as possible ;-)

    See you soon,.

You have two questions.  First of all, 65 MB of free space of the Application memory is not much.  Something is to take memory.  Load any new request when it started?  Do you use a card multimedia for pictures and videos?

Second, OS earlier than I posted have problems with the 'leak' free memory down to 0 over a period of time.  At how fast depends on how much is free to start.  I would like to update your operating system with the version in the instructions below:

    1. first download the OS for the 9810 here: https://swdownloads.blackberry.com/Downloads/entry.do?code=BE1DF9A5D08724971F64A511E24FC904

2 make a manual backup of your device first, using Desktop Manager > backup. Close at the end Office Manager and disconnect it from BlackBerry. You can get the BlackBerry Desktop Software here http://us.blackberry.com/apps-software/desktop/

    3. download the OS from step 1 of the file on the PC then install on the PC by running (double click) the downloaded file.

    4. go into c:\program files Research in motion\apploader and delete the file named "vendor.xml." Also, check the following locations for the vendor.xml file and delete all instances of the file:

On Windows Vista/7, go to C:\Users\YOUR_USER\AppData\Roaming\Research in XML Motion\BlackBerry\Loader (where 'YOUR_USER' is your user name)

On Windows XP, go to C:\Documents and Settings\YOUR_USER\Application is In Motion\BlackBerry\Loader XML (where 'YOUR_USER' is your user name)

    5. connect the BlackBerry and double-click on "Loader.exe." It is located in c:\program files\common research in motion\apploader.  Follow the prompts to update the operating system to the new version you downloaded.

Once this is done take a look at the free memory space.  What is - what now?

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Application memory size

I have a BB Bold 9000. I get a message that the memory of the application is complete. I've deleted almost everything I can that still receive. Size available vs quantity it seems true. This memory can be extended?

No, the device memory is not expandable.

But you can clean it up further. There are always more.

First thing? Check the file without Options > status, what is the number to the free file?

Now, leaving the device turned on, remove the battery from your device, hold a minute, to replace and restart.
What is now the free file?

  • ODS memory of blackBerry Smartphones Application

    Hello

I use BB Torch 9860 with OS 7.1

My problem is that after I reboot my phone free application memory shown is about 158 MB.

And as time goes on it starts to become low and at the moment it is around 64 mb. If restarting the phone, I'll be back this memory consumed.

I have not installed any application during this time and no substantive third-party application is running.

Please give me reason to such memory consumption when no background applications are running and the solution to this problem.

    Thank you

    Gerard

I suggest you reload the OS of your phone using BlackBerry Desktop Software.  You don't have to load a new version of the operating system, just reload the latest version.  Something is definitely upward with your phone if you are leaking that much memory.  A new version of the operating system probably wouldn't hurt, but if it is not available or if you do not want to load, reload your current OS could help.

Keep us updated on your progress.

  • Memory of the blackBerry Smartphones Application is 0

    • How can I see what is loaded in the memory of the Application to see which takes all the memory?
    • How can I verify that the memory is functional and not DOA?

    Thank you

Reset the device, take out the battery for 30 seconds and check again the available memory.

    Hello

I suggest that you clear the cache of the AppWorld application:

    1. open the App World

    2. go to my world

    3. follow one (and only one!) of these steps:

    3. for the BB keyboard-oriented - hold down the ALT key and press on, in the sequence R, then S, then T

3B. for touch screen only BBs - hold the num-lock (! 123 button) so that it hangs and then press on, in the sequence 3, then 4, then)

    3 c for the most recent (e, g., OS6 and 7) BB s, see this KB:

    • KB24714 How to clear the cache of BlackBerry App World

    4 AppWorld must close

    5. If your BB locks after issuing clear cache, do a battery pull reboot

    6. return to AppWorld (it can be slow, while it re - sync). Connect to MyWorld (if necessary - it will take your BB ID username and password this time; it's not remember your BB ID username after a clear the cache), and then try again.

If the step (4) and (6) do not occur as indicated, then the empty the cache did not work.

KB10040 How to remove BlackBerry applications from a BlackBerry smartphone and third parties

However, things can be odd, depending on what you mean by "completely"? Several carriers push icons "teaser" to get you to install applications they're pushing. But the icon itself is not an application installed... rather just a shortcut to "tease" you to install the application. You can't stop these teaser icons.

    Good luck!

  • Don't launch the blackBerry Smartphones Applications

I just downloaded a theme OTA and it seems that it is the cause of my "BOLD" for not being able to run almost all of my applications.

I tried to go to 'Options' to delete the theme, but I can't open it same.

    Hello josephineloretta

Welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums

First perform a battery pull reboot as this device on remove the battery for a min. then reinsert it wit back up what your device restarts. Then give it a try and see if it allows you to uninstall this application.

If that does not start then your device on Safe Mode, while safe mode remove the theme of your device. Options of > device > application > remove it of there.after conducting another battery pull reboot.

  • Update blackBerry Smartphones/application through desktop bb software software

is it ok to update software of bb? How long does take to update the applications or the software?

    Yes, about an hour.

Use the BlackBerry Desktop Software on your computer, make a backup of your BlackBerry smartphone, first.

  • BlackBerry smartphones recover memory after you have moved the files in Media card

I inadvertently saved photos and videos to the device memory.  When I discovered this I moved the files on the media card, but the space in the memory of the device was not released, although the image and folders in video memory show no file.  All solutions?   I am running OS 5.

"Memory" is basically a multimedia card shipped.  It is memory separate from your "Application memory".

I just want to perform a full backup of the device with Desktop Manager.  Wipe the device in the Options > Security Options > Security wipe.  Then restore the backup.  That will probably bring your memory asks how far it was.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones low memory with OS 6

OS 6 seems to use a much larger portion of the allocation of phone memory. With a modest set of applications and the removal of the games not used, etc. I have a basic level of about 40 MB, even if use. Daily use which rediced to 10-16 MB and less I get shows low memory and need to reboot to recover the memory available. The memory consumed is in the other category. This has never been a problem with the OS 5, which I think has a smaller BONE. Any content that I store is on the map.

Is there a way to allocate memory differently, to address your operational cache or buffer to the media card, or any other action to reconcile consumption or lack of memory available?

Your best bet is to look at the applications over time. Install an application will take the memory of the initial (42 MB, you said), because this initial memory is running and storage.

Some applications, but unfortunately not very many, allow you to configure the storage of application data. If you do, move the storage of application for storage of device (which is separate from the application memory) or a media card.

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry Smartphone App memory leak?

The other day I installed the 132. After everything was done I had to reinstall all my stuff saved. "" LoaderBackup-(2009-05-01) "you know the drill...  Will all this in my app memory?  I noticed looking through it a lot of things like application authorization, 59 K.. andheld key store - 44K... Compatibility setting - 33K, trusted key store - 47K and a few others I knew...

I have to say I can be agreeing with a few people here on the amount of mem app, I'm sitting at 33 MB on reboot. the only apps I have are

    Google maps 727K

    weather bug 671 k

    BerryBuzz 35 k

    Extra light 4 k

    Iheartradio 271K

    cursor storm 85K

    MetarBerry 166K

    World of BB app 532K

    Facebook 882 k

    MySpace 772 k

    Slacker 1 M

    VVmail 1 M

    My Verizon 572K

    Viigo 1 M

I'm not sure are how many K in a Mo...  But I do not see how all of this could take up to 127 MB

I don't save emails / SMS/msm, I have only a few things in the calendar and I clear my call log each week. I don't have any another language other then English, I deleted all the apps IM except of BB Messenger. and I also deleted most of the commercial applications, because it's a personal phone and not for businesses...  I do understand not everything which happens in the memory of the app...  I almost 1 GB of free space on the device memory that I don't need or use (everything on the 8G card) but only have 12 X MB app I need and that you don't have.

I know that this question is something going on and hatred to ignite an old flame...  But most I have my phone and I find things I want on my phone, I begin to see why others had problems with it... I know that's what it is, but I just wanted to add my feelings on this subject...

The bold has 128 MB application memory as well.

As a heads up, when you install the operating system, do not bother installing anything that you do not use.  For example, why install the Flickr application if you are not using Flickr on your Storm.  By installing only what I actually use, I managed to get 50.3 MB the first time.  After you install all my other applications (e.g. Google Maps, MeterBerry, StormLock and a few others), I still get ~ 44MB on start up.

  • Updates the device blackBerry Smartphones application

Recently, when I am connected to BB Desktop Manager, updates available. I agree with all of the updates and he did it successfully. However, whenever I now connect to Desktop Manager, I receive the same message saying that the same updates are available. If I agree to them, he then tells me no updates are available. How can I get rid of this message.

    Hello

In this case, we can try to reload the software on the BlackBerry smartphone to make sure she is running the most recent version and there is no problems with the operating system on the device.

To do this, we would need to back up the BlackBerry Smartphone. Please open the BlackBerry Desktop Manager and plug in your device. Click the backup and restore options, and then select Save. Note the location where the backup is saved will allow us to access later to restore the BlackBerry smart phone.

Once you have saved your BlackBerry smart phone, please follow the link below to complete a clean reload of the Smartphone BlackBerry software.
