BlackBerry Smartphones BB Desktop recognizes phone but cannot connect.
I have 2 BB Curve 8520's, who has "App error 523" coming up on the screen.
I downloaded the most current BB Desktop software if I could fix it.
My problem is that even if the phone is recognized, it does not connect...
At the bottom right it says it connects, but never does.
My other BB 8520 is easily connected & I can access all the options in the menu drop-down menu...
He also tells me what version of software I have.
I've never seen this phone work... I thought this would be an easy fix...
Can anyone help?
See you soon

Ok.
It is installed by USB on the other printer?
Did you share the printer?
have you set up a virtual usb port?
Have you tried to use the diagnosis of HP printer installation utility to help Setup and configuration of your printer?
It would have been simpler to use the LAN connector so the other PC online would not be a condition for its availability.
(1) connect the printer with the LAN connector to your network switch or router and turn it on.
(2) make sure that the IP address of the printer is your network subnet via the embedded Web server or printer print Panel menu.
(3) set it up as a network on all PCs compuuter to make it available for use

Curve blackBerry Smartphones capable 9320 receipt email but cannot send.
I have a Blackberry Curve 9320 with Virgin Mobile Canada. I have the unlimited plan for Blackberry Messaging on my account which includes sending and receiving unlimited emails. I have not received my email of problems but when I try to reply, send or before I get a black box pop up saying:
You are currently on a service plan that does not support this application. If you want to use this application, please contact your service provider to upgrade your data plan.
I spoke with Virgin Mobile Canada on several occasions. They have me guided through various corrections but also removed and added the function several times. After that 3 days of work with their technical support I am still unable to send, reply, or forward any email to my BlackBerry smart phone but can still receive.
What are the next steps I take?
Hello and welcome to the community!
Not knowing exactly the things they already recommended to you, I am reluctant to advise nothing at all for the risk of redundancy. Instead, I'll answer your specific question:
bkenny wrote:

Continue to work with Virgin and insist that they officially escalate your case up to BlackBerry for increased support. It is the only channel to receive help from BlackBerry... via the escalation at Virgin. You have no free path to work around them, and they do it for you. Review - you pay Virgin for all your services and all your support to the service... at the moment, they seem to be or to offer.
Good luck!

OK, your phone is a Blackberry 8130, in any case, go to the store and ask to solve the problem, if they have no solution, ask to change device

BlackBerry Smartphones Windows Live Messenger receives but cannot send - BB8310 on Rogers
I installed Windows Live Messenger on my Rogers BB 8310. I have no problem running it, I can log in and see my contacts. Also said them that I'm connected using a wireless device.
They type in messages will appear on the screen of BB. However, when I type a message and press on send, I get the following error message: "your message could not be sent. (Error: there is a problem with the server.) Please try again later.)
Nobody at Roges support includes even the question, and still less be able to answer.
Help!
Found the solution. The authorization would be put on BES. Everything is fine!

Torch blackBerry Smartphones and Desktop Manager is no longer connect
I have the Torch 9800 and I am running Wndows XP with the latest version of the Desktop Manager.
Until two weeks ago, my phone and computer communicated beautifully, synchronization, backups, sharing files, everything. But last week my computer and the phone seemed not to see eachother and now nothing happens when I plug my phone. The phone goes to the "clock" screen as if it is plugged into a charger and don't show a problem with the connection on his end, but the computer does not show that anything was connected.
So far, I have:
(1) checked the USB connection to the comptuter
(2) I've tried different USB ports
(3) tried a different USB cable
Wiped 4) and re-installed Desktop manager on my computer
I am at a loss on how to get my computer and the phone talking to each other again. Help? Please?
OK, I didn't. You were very detailed in the listing of your steps you had done... everything except these.
I would try another PC or laptop.
Want to check your USB port device isn't bad.
I know you said the clock in bedside mode appears, but which can still work sometimes even if other functions have ceased. Try on a friend's PC.

Right now your nat 0 (NAT exemption) follows the access list:
permit access ip 192.168.0.0 scope list inside_nat0_outbound 255.255.255.0 172.16.0.0 255.255.0.0
permit access ip 192.168.0.0 scope list inside_nat0_outbound 255.255.255.0 192.168.1.0 255.255.255.0
Traffic back from your server to 192.168.0.4 in the pool of VPN (192.168.0.20 - 50) not correspond to this access list and thus be NATted. The TCP connection will not develop due to the failure of the Reverse Path Forwarding (RPF) - traffic is asymmetric NATted.
Then try to add an entry to the list of access as:
permit access ip 192.168.0.0 scope list inside_nat0_outbound 255.255.255.0 192.168.0.0 255.255.255.0
It's a bit paradoxical but necessary that your VPN pool is cut out in your interior space network. You could also do like André offers below and use a separate network, but you would still have to add an access list entry to exempt outgoing NAT traffic.

Transfer data of blackBerry Smartphones in your old phone again using Desktop Manager
So I had an older curve, and now I have a brand new Curve 3 g. The old phone is broken and I can't use the keyboard, but it remains recongizes the software when it is plugged in and I can load - that's why the data could not be transferred from my old phone to the new at the Verizon store.
So I want all contacts, my lists of things to do/pads, etc. transferred into the new phone with the help of Blackberry Manager on my PC (Vista).
"So I chose the ' device transfer Assistant" in the main menu and follow instructions - I get an error message that says, basically, I "should remove some applications on my existing device, because there is not enough space on the new device to their homes:
I don't understand this - the new phone has 256 MB of memory from 32 MB in the old phone, and I don't even have apps out there except facebook (I tried to delete my apps on the phone and he showed me as having been facebook...)
So, I tried unchecking various boxes on the screen asking me what I want to transfer and even with them all unchecked it always says there is not enough room for the transfer...
Am I doing this wrong? I want to just my contacts and lists of tasks transferred to the new - I don't know what that thing on 'requests' and these words, but I want just that my data is transferred...
I will say that the Blackberry Manager application I have is very slow, not intuitive, and generally a huge pain in the * beep * work with - I think that a slick like Blackberry tech company would have would have a much better than this 'Blackberry Manager... "program I am impressed with the Blackberry phones, but fear using this Blackberry Manager whenever I need to (for example when new ringtone on my phone)...
Many thanks for any help people can give me here!
You could go to www.blackberry.com and download/install the latest version. That may solve your problem.
However, have you tried simply to make a backup of the old device and restore on the new?

The following disks do not appear on the list of applications Manager Office, or in the list of applications in options of installation on the phone itself. How can I remove items from your phone if it does not give the possibility to do?
Apps that I have installed on the phone, but appear in my applications (actual file, not in the installation options) on the phone itself.
Bing
Skype
NFL Mobile
Apps I have personally installed on the phone and then uninstalled them since the phone itself. They still show on the phone. If I click on the app, it takes me to the installation screen & gives me the options "I agree / I disagree.
Social beat
You Tube
Visual Voicemail
Any suggestions are appreciated!
For each six requests that you have listed, you can't really delete these shortcuts to application "pushed," not very easy installation. It is simpler:
To do this: create a folder on your home screen and name it "Junk" (you can choose to be more creative the folder name ). Now, highlight each unwanted icon and press the Menu key > go to folder and move it to the folder "spam". That, for each, you don't want to do.
Now, highlight this "Junk" folder, and select Menu > hide.
Out of site, out of mind. Meanwhile, feel free to complain to Verizon or their own user forums.

My computer blackBerry smartphones does not recognize my Blackberry curve 932
My computer does not recognize my Blackberry curve 9320. I follow the help instructions to adjust the administrative settings, but this did not help. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Maybe this will help. That's how to get BlackBerry Desktop Software to recognize your phone but if BDS recognizes, does your computer. Have a look here:
www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB10144 .
I hope that helps you.

The BlackBerry® Enterprise Server administrator has established a policy to restrict the removal of passwords of security since the BlackBerry smartphone. The BES for my business is long gone and we have a few phones that we would like to sell but the it strategy is defined as we cann ot remove the password and cannot change it as the BELL went. Any ideas to remove the policy?
