I am totally new to the Blackberry world and so I apologies in advance if I ask unnecessary questions. I tried to search the forum to avoid inconveniencing anyone.

I just got the 9105 on Vodafone UK.

The device confirms the following information under Options / about:

    V5.0.0.696 (platform 6.2.0.57).

The Web of Blackberry site (under "software download for Vodafone UK") propose the following update:

    BlackBerry Handheld Software v5.0.0.1468 (Multilangauge)

    Package Version: 5.0.0.1468
    Composed of:

    • Applications: 5.0.0.882
    • Software platform: 6.2.0.93
    • File name: 9100_9105itutM_PBr5.0.0_rel1468_PL6.2.0.93_A5.0.0.882_Vodafone_UK.exe

The Blackberry Desktop Manager offers me the following update:

    5.0.0.882

Which I suppose is the same as that available on the site Web of Blackberry.

Question No. 1: After reading the comments on another thread I of the memorandum of understanding that my device is running OS 5 and updates made available for me to Blackberry OS 5, as it is determined by the number of Applications. Is this correct?

Question 2: Whenever I try to update my mistakes 9105 computer before the end, regardless of the method or the update (Desktop Manager / Web site / download for PC). I get the error during the installation phase, and the error message along the lines of:

The Application Loader could not connect to your BlackBerry smartphone. Try unplug......... power management settings do not use the intermediate device USB...

Can anyone suggest how I can install OS 6 on my 9105?

I appreciate all the help in advance,

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

First of all - THANK YOU for the thorough and thoughtful... excellent post!

Major operating system level is 5.0. But the revision in which is what it offers updated of current votre.696 of the more recente.882. You are 100% correct, when you look at the download portal, it's information "Requests" to compare to your OS version, comparing the 4 bytes.

I thought we were working on upgrading your OS 5.x? But if 6.x is available somewhere (you'll have to dig around the portals of download for various carriers know... but I think that AirCell / region P may be hit), then a PC, you can install any bundle of BONES to a BB via this procedure:

Note that although written for "reload", it can be used to upgrade, downgrade, or recharge - it depends on the OS package you download and install on your PC. You can even use a different OS package carriers simply insert, between steps 1 and 2, the deletion, on your PC, a file named PROVIDER. XML. remember that you remove from your PC, no matter what other packages devices OS BB as having more than one installed on the PC can cause conflicts with this procedure.

If you are on a MAC, you are limited to only your sanctioned carriers OS packages... but can still use any level they currently have to sanction. See this procedure:

    Hi all

    Need help with this

I am trying to install new OS 6 for my blackberry pearl 9105, it allows me to run the file, but when you go to Device Manager it shows no new updates.

I'm a little confused by the present, I searched everywhere for a solution but can't find anywhere

I am currently running windows 7 on my laptop but I don't think that's the problem.

    Also to explain...

I run the application it asks to connect my device and then "check updates" I wait and it brings nothing.

    I hope someone can help

    Thank you

The most recent offiically released OS for the model 9105 is 6.0.0.481

Operating system device provided are "released" by specific carriers once that they are certified and trained to their support technicians, but still, you are able to load any carrier the same model by following the instructions below. Note: Some users may be concerned they will void their warranty of device by loading an OS from another carrier. There is really nothing to fear. Read more information on it here:

Make a backup of your device first, using Desktop Manager > backup. Close the office at the end Manager.

    1. download the OS files to the PC then install on the PC by running (double click) the downloaded file.
    2. go in c:\program files Research in motion\apploader and delete the file named "vendor.xml."
    3. plug in the BB and double-click on "Loader.exe." It is located in the same place as the above vendor.xml file.

I have reason to think I should be able to use a wi - fi without data connection, so that I can access the web via my internet connection at home & not the telephone network?

Ok. If you updated the operating system, you also would have updated MOST likely one or more of these applications.

On your BlackBerry, go to Options > advanced > Applications.

Scroll down and find EACH of those who, as I mentioned, then delete them.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Skype for Blackberry Pearl 9105 (combined GSM and not three)

    Hey all

I have a no three (three being the United Kingdom Mobile phone network) Blackberry Pearl 9105 which is GSM (unlocked), however, will be able to use the Skype program, but unable to do so because of questions of implementation. The phone allows me to download the program from "Planet 3" is however impossible to open when filled with the correct user name and password.

I was wondering what I need to do to make this work, as apparently it currently works if the phone was bought directly from the carrier/network. Is there some special parameters to be activated, and it would work without BIS.

I need help and support if someone can. I would be eternally grateful if this could be made possible.

    Hello

Once your BlackBerry reached a level where it turns itself off, you probably need to plug it into the wall charger for BlackBerry to the real address. The USB charger or non-BlackBerry Chargers often are not enough. Once you have a BlackBerry charger, plug it in for an hour and it should then light up very well.

    I hope that helps!
