BlackBerry Smartphones Blackberry curve 8320 spinning hourglass to end forever forever

I have a BB 8320 curve, version 4.5.0.81

I visited Tmobile, they replaced the SIMM card.  I have a 4 GB memory card, but my phone is constantly in mode ' spinning hour glass "and unable to use.  I thougth maybe it was something to do with the service in the Austin TX area, but it's happened throughout the week I was in Colorado and California.  This makes the phone useless - what to do?

The only solution I found is to remove and reinsert the battery, but it of a pain and was that it does not work.  My phone is spinnign right now!

And Yes, I'm a quickpull on it every night as suggested by T-mobile.

5077335bytes = 4.84 mb

the 8320 has 64 MB of memory onboard

I keep my 8310 has the same amount of internal memory, to (at least) 5 MB of free space. I met similar problems when my memory was full. Also if you get low on memory, your phone will automatically remove your history of calls, text messages and various other temporary files, you can keep. So what you have is working, but I would not download anything else (unless his little) without removing something.

That said, the hourglass has stopped turning?

  • Blackberry Curve 8320 unlocked blackBerry smartphones

    Hello

I have not actually bought my Blackberry yet, but I'm looking into it right now. I want to buy a unlocked Blackberry Curve 8320 which was previously on AT & T or T-mobile (I'm a couple more different). Anyway, I wanted to buy a Blackberry and place it on a data plan with Rogers Canada. I'm doing this because I want to be able to use BBM, so I think I need a data plan.

I buy the Blackberry separately because I want to be able to use overseas when I use another GSM SIM card for example. I know doing it on contract is cheaper, but I don't want to do that because I will be locked on a 3 year contract and I won't be at the Canada for 3 years.

I just want to know if the Rogers data network will work with a Blackberry unlocked as I described above. I asked Rogers customer service and they said that they cannot confirm that the Rogers data network will be to 'connect' with the unlocked Blackberry because it once belonged to another provider and I should buy a Blackberry from Rogers. I don't know if they just said that if I would buy the Blackberry from Rogers rather than elsewhere. I know the unlocked Blackberry should work fine with a regular for calls and SMS GSM SIM card and all that but I want to know specifically about BBM - ing.

Sorry, my question is so long. Thanks a lot for your help!

While Canadian companies may be different from their American counterarts I do not that the differences are only significant to materially affect my response.

When you buy a 'new' locked onto a support device will be offered the device at a price at a price significantly lower than the retail price recommended for her.  That's what prescribed contractual lock in as they recover for the duration of the contract, the difference between what you pay and the cost.  They're subsidizing the price in order to collect a healthy monthly fees for access.

All U.S. carriers require a data plan for smartphones in addition to any general "plans" for just minutes and text packages etc.  I guess that Canadian businesses require the same.

In order to use BBM you need a dataplan carriers which is what allows your device use the features of the BIS (Blackberry Internet service) requiring Blackberry data push, e-mail, all what is "data".

This is a new in the box device purchased by your friends at Rogers.  They sold you a Blackberry and they dance as they listen to the registry will chaching.  This is music to their ears.  This is an item being sold and it is "locked" to Rogers.  Of course, for each month of your servitude under contract happen to dance again once the Registry continues to provide them with more chaching.

You bought a camera from them, you can use it at this stage only with them.  They will be as you might or might not be aware subject to various and assorted penalties if you tire of their service or their absence and take your business elsewhere, or try.  Costs of early termination can easily exceed your initial cost plus for a premium, in a credit institution, violating laws governing wear.

It's what keeps dissatisfied customers even with the carriers that are less satisfactory.  It is just too expensive to leave while allowing some, but not all carriers for you 'sell' the balance of your contract to another.  If Rogers of permits that are unknown to me.

If you buy an "unlocked" device it is expected of the band is compatible with Rogers (GSM/CDMA as the case may be) perfectly capable to be activated on their network.

Their after-sales service is to use a euphemism, blowing smoke.  They know perfectly well that a device unlocked regardless of its origin.  They won't make you a device for which they do not receive rewarding chaching first and make run on their network.  Since you did not pay a subsidized price for the device that you are not obliged to a three-year plan or some length Rogers requires for locked for new devices.

While they play stupid indeed hoping you will buy them and locked himself in a service contract.  It's guaranteed money for thirty-six months.  It's a lot of money.

Assuming you get to admit only a 8320 unlocked (GSM) will play well with their network that you can buy a phone, monthly data on the plan without being locked in a period of time.

You will absolutely need the dataplan however, at least the minimum plan they offer will prevent access to the services that make it a Blackberry.

Of major importance for you in as long as purchaser of a used instrument is the only one not is indeed "unlocked" but the PIN was released by the former owner and the access to its carrier, T-Mobile or AT & T.  Every Blackberry is assigned a unique PIN that lives with her forever.  For example, if I want to sell my unlocked Blackberry Storm I will have to make arrangements for the release of the Verizon PIN so that a subsequent purchaser can activate the storm on Verizon (my service provider) or such that it is unlocked any service provider, as it really is a universal device capable of activation on a CDMA/GSM/UMTS network or Global.

I would like to buy a used if and only if it is verifiable that the PIN was released by the previous owner/carrier.  With the instrument in hand, it can be checked on the device or not it is unlocked.  The output of the SPINDLE must be verified by the previous carrier and I'm too cynical, but I wouldn't take the word of the seller unless it was a very trustworthy family member and even then, I would like to politely ask for verification.

Rogers wants money on your part.  They want the money upfront to sell you a Blackberry and they want the contract guaranteed money for the long term for the months down the line.  For Rogers, it's win/win.

You can, even if it's an expensive to buy a new device of Rogers at the MSRP and not you will not lock in a three-year contract.  The majority of carriers who does not advertise that the difference is more than lost long-term do not lock you in their.

I hope this helps.  If I appear cynical, it's because I am.  Carriers are there to increase their profits and integrity is lost in the maze.

So, I want to buy a pink lid for my Blackberry Curve 8320. However, when I look on eBay or Amazon, pink rugs say they are for the Blackberry Curve 8330 (I know that Verizon is out with the pink telephone). Is there a difference? Should be always on my phone?

(I mean the real case, not only a pink rubber or case cover to put on my phone)

    Thank you!

Yes, as long as you ALSO replace the keyboard AND the small part that is under the keyboard.

If you have any questions or need to order extra parts, I suggest you call and purchase of Horizon Wireless, they will sell you the correct thing.

  • Smartphones blackBerry sync Blackberry Curve 8320 with Outlook 2007 problems

Hi all. I have a problem which seems to be somewhat common. I did some don't research through the messages, but so far no luck.

I just got my Curve 8320 and I installed Desktop Manager 4.5 that accompanies it. At work, the calendar, I want to use is in Outlook 2007. It is a work schedule, but this isn't a working phone. Anyway, it wouldn't work at all, but I changed one of the options on the phone (based on a comment here) 'Facebook' for the other option (my personal e-mail, not associated with work or Outlook 2007, but that was my only other choice).

Then he started pulling files from Outlook to the phone, but about to halfway through it gives me this error in a window called 'Intellisync': 'operation complete unexpectedly.'

I can't go further than that. Any ideas?

    Morning.

We will try this.  Read this thread.  You probably have a corrupt file somewhere in your calendar.

  • Button blackBerry Smartphones BB Curve 8320 unexpected behavior

    Hi community

I now own a BB Curve 8320, which arrived March 7 th 2010 with OS v4.2.

Having previously & successfully upgraded the OS on my BB 8310 curve which has an expensive screen problem, I downloaded OS v4.5 for BB Curve 8320.

    I used this download: 8320EastAsia_PBr4.5.0_rel108_PL2.7.0.78_A4.5.0.81_Voda_Australia

Everthing seems to work very well; the OS upgrade completed successfully and before & after reloading the data from Outlook I could access the menu via the Menu button & do what I needed.

However, after some time of operation (i.e. on 1 or more hours), random unit see the menu when I press the Menu key and I can't answer calls by pressing the Green Telephone button.

Instead, this key and a few others will produce strange characters (e.g., Yi) in applications that can accept text, or does nothing.

I tried to help me with this problem by making a following and after:

    Battery grips.
Hold the alt key, then press and hold SHIFT to the right, then press DELETE.
Reload the OS after the failure with JL_Cmder v1.9.1

I have read on this forum or on crackberry that I should consider the moisture under the keyboard and then proceeds to remove the battery and SIM and SD card then proceeds to the hair dryer the unit for a short period.

RESULT = everything works again for a short while (a few hours), then it will repeat the above behavior.

I'm a bit there is a simple fix of BB Curve 8320 or setting changes that I'm missing.

The 8310 has been solid on the performance... and honestly that miss me.

Please put me out of my misery.

    Who is blessed,

    Hello community,

After trying my own idea and add some silica GEL for the bowl to rice taking into my BB Curve 8320 & leaving for 2 days, I took out the camera fed up and had a brainwave.

I occurred to me that since this routine 'your BB dry' had not given a complete solution, while it was time to open the unit and correct what was going on inside.

So... on March 15, I found a local repair shop, said the problem, as well as to what this forum (thanks JSanders) suggest that he was wrong and ignored the diagnostic charge.

Finally, there is some minor corrosion under the keyboard, which he corrected and cleaned up.
I asked the tech if I took the phone to him at the time, and he said yes, that I didn't have to worry.

So now, I have a BB Curve 8320 with interchangeable spare parts of my BB Curve 8310.

    CONCLUSION.

I think that rice and the desiccant, drying methods are best used to DELAY the progression of moisture damage.

However, if this does not solve the problem... then you must go into the unit. (i.e. you or a tech)

Don't get too long..time is essential due to the miniaturization of circuit traces are very small and corrosion can quickly make the device unusable.

  • BlackBerry Curve 8320 - Network Mobile Smartphones (kept losing)

    Heya there!

I'm here to represent my girlfriend who kept having problem with his BB 8320 Curve.

Its network of Mobile signal not now change the colors of green (tick)-> yellow (in strips).

No idea why and how this happened? This has happened since she came to Live Messenger 5.0, and I came back to his system using Desktop Manager 5.0 to original (v4.5 update of its carrier provider). But still, its mobile network status light to go green - yellow all the time, this event it to freely use his BB Messenger. Kept by disconnecting

    Help, please?

    Thank you.

    Welcome to the forums

    Try a battery pull first:
    1. remove the battery while the phone is turned on
    2. wait a few seconds before inserting it again
    3. wait for the long end of the boot process (takes a few minutes usually)

This clears most of the software problems that occur on the BlackBerry from time to time. You can also use Quickpull, a free application that simulates a battery pull without removing the battery: http://software.crackberry.com/product.asp?id=27660
A battery pull gets lost when using the applications memory and clears minor software errors that creep over time. The blackberry is running an operating system just like your PC is running windows and battery pull is the equivalent of a reboot / restart your computer.

You can also save the device by going to Options > Advanced Options > host Routing Table, click on the button menu/blackberry and 'sign up now '.

Also try to send service directories to the phone by:
1 connection to the site of the BIS of your operator (where you installed your email)
    2. go in directories of Service, then click on "send Service books".

    Post back with your results.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones new Curve 8320 with MTN (stupid) - so fraustrating

    Bought myself a 8320 today

1.) my provider does not allow me to use my own e-mail client; but when asked at the point of purchase said we could. It is shocking and a very disappointing experience with Blackberry. [any available alternative work?]

2.) I decided to use gmail. the gmail app loads but does not - it cannot connect it is apparently a problem with the latest blackberry 4.6? [all known fixes for this]

(3.) I can't seem to change the default browser, or point to the homepage of the default browser of the predefined home page (my service provider). [no clue on how to do this one is supposed to be able to choose the browser]

4.) I can not remove the background of service providers from the phone - and I did not understand how to replace by something more pleasant (similar to the blackberry default background) [it is probably a mistake to BECKY as I'm not familiar enough with the phone to change the background still]

(5.) to a friend on mine told me to buy a blackberry in the United Kingdom and avoid stupid trouble generated by MTN.

6.) it seems no cards for the South Africa using Blackberry maps? So I tried google maps I used easily on my previous phone.

Great looking phone, really happy with the comments - shame about the approach by the service provider. Until I solved these problems I am stuck using my old Samsung to read mail using gmail and use gmaps.

Your comments have saved me some time and newbie inconvenience. GREEN entre-clavier-and-user problem. The only reason why I decided to go with gmail instead of using the convenience of the push service (the original rational behind getting the phone anyway) has been boredom of additional costs ($10 p/m) when combined with the service provider, forcing me to use the phone with specific parameters - the nature of the BIS service has not clarified for me that this practice was an extra cost and could not be established with another supplier of services separate from the cell phone provider itself was boring. Anyway, this phone is way from my old phone - just would have had a better experience of initialization.
