BlackBerry Smartphones Blackberry Desktop 6.0.0.43 not recognize my 8530

I installed 6.0.0.43 (clean install of Windows XP SP3, no previous Blackberry drivers or software of office installed at all) and Blackberyy Device Manager appears in the taskbar, but when I plug my 8530, I always get 'USB device not recognized '. This occurs if Blackberry Desktop is running or not. After plugging in, if I look at the 8530 screen, it says that "the source of the load connected to your phone smart BlackBerry cannot charge your battery".

It's on 2 different computers, via a hub or directly connected to the root of USB port on both machines. Both machines are running fresh installs of Windows XP SP3. I had very limited success until I "upgraded" the software for the device to v5.0.0.459. But that very limited success lasted only until the next reboot of the computer.

I thought 6.0.0.43 is a complete installation of all the USB drivers and the desktop with it software. What I'm missing here?

In addition to the fact that I can not backup my BlackBerry and can not import my list of contacts from my old phone, it's a nice phone. Nevermind, it is essentially worthless to me as - is!

After several tries, I have understood the problem and now my 8530 ongoing execution and synchronization with MS Outlook very well. The problem was that the installation of BlackBerry Desktop Manager has not copied the RimUSB.sys file to the Windows/system32/drivers folder!

When I tried to install the driver using the "remove the instrument from the device, Scan for new hardware Manager, install using 'Disc'", Windows kept saying that the driver does not match my device. So I checked the .inf file and then checked to see if the driver was in the Windows directory, it wasn't! This was after SEVERAL re - installed! So I copied the device driver on manually, restarted the computer, Director of office started and it worked perfectly!

I don't know why the device driver was not copied, but after 3 computers, XP Pro SP3 existing and new facilities and at least 15 different USB ports and 2 USB cables, everything came down to not copied device driver on when installing the Desktop Manager! Frustrating, but at least I got it working now.

And major problem, BB Desktop Software said address book not installed.

I did a lot of permutations and combinations as install and uninstall desktop software but no positive results.

    Ask you kindly advice me...

    Kind regards

    Sudhir

Hello sudhir4u077 and welcome to the community of BlackBerry Support Forums.

Looks like your address book database is corrupt.

Back up your data from BlackBerry and do a cleanup of security as indicated in KB14058. When the deletion is complete, check to see the address book appears as installed.

Let me know how make you out.

  • Smartphones blackBerry Desktop Mgr. 4.5 not recognizing Outlook 2000

My MS Office Office is version 2000 and current patches.

My RIM Desktop Manager 4.5.0.15 doesn't recognize Outlook 2000.  When I try to configure my desktop program sync settings it just offers inport/export ASCII and does not recognize Outlook.

What's new: I was syncing with Outlook 2000 with my curve since late July 2007.

    What should I do?

SOLUTION: I uninstalled Deaktop Manager 4.5 and replaced by 4.2.2.14, and now everything works.  I guess I'll have to upgrade to a newer version of Outlook, but I'll keep this possibility (and expenses) at a later date.

  • BlackBerry smartphone app error 603 and BBDS does not recognize my device

Here's the situation: the battery ran out on my unit earlier this week. When I started to charge, the unit will start automatically restart. Before restarting, the messages "error app 603' and 'reset' appeared. If I click "reset", the whole process starts again.

The previous messages in the forum I read about 'error app 603' suggested I should restore the device settings or reinstall the operating system. I tried to connect my device to my laptop via USB cable, however the computer will only recognize the connected device with a chime at the beginning of the discount to zero, followed quickly by a chime of disconnection being rebooted. The computer or software Deskstop BlackBerry recognizes the device while it is stuck on the '603 error message' app.

    What else can I try?

Hello and welcome to the community!

Here's a knockout who deals with this error:

For the charging of the OS, you can better use this method... on a PC (you can't do this on MAC):

    (1) make sure you have a current backup and your BB complete... you can find complete instructions via the link in my sig auto below. Sorry, already a moot point counts with the error.

    2) uninstall all the BB OS packages from your PC,

    (3) make sure you have the BB Desktop Software already installed

    (4) download and install on your computer, the BB OS package you want:

    • If all you want are the levels of BONE, it is first sorted by carrier - the carrier supports, your search will be fast. However, some carriers are much slower than others to release updates. To really get the package up-to-date OS for your BB, you need to dig through and find all businesses that support your specific model BB and then compare the BONE levels they support.

    5) remove all copies of the SELLER on your PC. XML... There will be at least one and maybe 2, and they will be located in the same way or to (it changes based on your version of Windows) these files:

    • C:\Program Files (x 86) \Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader
    • C:\Users\(your Windows username) \AppData\Roaming\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Loader XML

    (6) work around the Desktop software and use the CHARGER. EXE directly, through step 2 in this process:

If, during the process of step 6, your BB presents "507" error, simply unplug the power cord of the BB USB and reinsert it. do nothing else... This should allow the installation to continue.

You can also study the use of BBSAK (bbsak.org) to perform the wipe what he is capable.

You may also use these tips:

If you are on a MAC, you are limited to only your sanctioned carriers OS packages... but can still use any level they currently have to sanction. See this procedure:

    Hello

    1. What microsoft fix it did you try?
    2. don't you make changes on the computer before the show?

This problem occurs because there is incorrect entries in the Shell folder of the user who is logged on to Microsoft Windows. When Windows Installer goes to the sale of Shell folder of the user who is logged on to the computer, Windows Installer cannot locate the correct entry.

  • Smartphones blackBerry Desktop Manager software/Media does not

    Hello everyone

I noticed that when I install 4.7 Desktop software on my 32 bit Vista computer when it reboot takes forever to load up on the desktop.

I timed it actually from the first second I saw 'loading' or the 'Vista progress bar"to point type me my password til time I first start see things load on my desk

    3 minutes +.

If I go into services.msc and disable the following:

    CyberLink

    Roxio upnp renderer 9
    Roxio 9 upnp Server
    LiveShare p2p Server 9
    roxmediadb9
    Roxio 9 hard driver watcher

And restart the computer, the system takes much less time to load up.

So, if I had to re activate these and try to load the media within the Desktop Software Manager it acutally does not load.

Am I missing something? Is there another service that I need to start?

It works very well after a new installation, but if I disable these features, restart and then re enable it doesn't load at all.

So I'm curious what is the work around? BlackBerry told one install and re install but seriously who takes a long time and is a concern.

Here's another puzzle for you game.

I know that I have photos and videos in my media (8gig) card I can see right now on my cell phone if I wanted to, it's there.

However when I plug in my desktop PC I can not find them

USB automatically a 'portable' under my computer called Blackberry 9530, if I double click on it, it gives me 2 options: Media Card or memory of the device. If I click on Media Card is the only music folder which is ok, but where are the photos?  It is not in any way I can them through the photos using the built in mass media; less I can't find here; That's why I thought I'd use Desktop Manager 4.7 and the media option but because of computer load time slow, I disabled stuff and it does not load on re that allows him.

Theres so my dilemma; all inisghts would be much appreciated; Thank you

    OK cool

    Problem fixed, yay

    When you uncheck these items...

    Roxio upnp renderer 9
    Roxio 9 upnp Server
    LiveShare p2p Server 9
    roxmediadb9
    Roxio 9 hard driver watcher

After activation, make sure that you also "InstallDriver Table Manager (Macrovision Corp)" checked, which will load Roxio

  • Smartphones from blackBerry Desktop Manager stops and does not sync

Hello, I just got my new BlackBerry Storm and I installed the software on my laptop running Vista Home.  The software loaded properly, the icon is on the desktop, but when I use the USB cable and open the Desktop Manager, then I click on synchronize and I get an error.  There is no error number, it just says: unknown error reported

How can I get my mobile calendar and Notes to synchronize with my Blackberry Storm?

    Thank you

    Bill

Well, I broke down and called Bell Mobility.  They had me up and running in a few minutes.  I guess I would have called them first, but history with Bell Mobility Technical Support... Well I only use as a last resort.

in any case, the fix for this problem is to go into your control panel / user accounts / turn user account or disable / and then make sure that the box is NOT checked where it says use User Account Control to help protect your computer.

My box has a check mark, so when I removed, then returned to the BBDM I was then able to synchronize my data between the Storm and my laptop.

Thanks to those who helped, now we know what to do if someone else comes in the Forum with the same problem.

  • Smartphones blackBerry desktop Mgr showing only Applications not... Cannot be without them?

    Hello

I'm new to the forum so please forgive me if this is posted in the wrong place.  I have a Curve 9300 and a few weeks ago, I was invited to day and for some reason any (I think that my USB cable may be low), the unit would not restart.  I got an error message (don't know what it says), and then the phone rebooted anyway.  Everything looked the same, and so I assumed that the update had not crossed.  I tried updates again, and this time at the place to restart, it seems that everything has been shattered out of my BB. Office Manager said that I had no software on my device and gave me 3 installation options, including a so-called "(downgrade-recommandé)", so of course, I got this one. "  Luckily, I backed up relatively recently so I could restore my contacts, bbm contacts, etc. photos.

Now, I know that updates have not completely installed because the version of Facebook, I have currently is an earlier version of the application that I had before this entire fiasco.  When I connect to the desktop software and click on 'applications' - nothing comes!  Usually, this is where I go to check for updates, and then (since I have a plan of social networking instead of a huge data plan), I install from the App World Web site (I'm not able to improve anything directly from my phone, it must be connected to my computer).  Yet, the window of the application is totally blank - almost as if I don't have ALL the apps, which was obviously not the case.

Finally, I manually upgrade issues when even because the AppWorld plugin gives me a message saying that it cannot connect with my camera.  I'm trying right now, and it is not yet recognize that my BB is connected (and I re - he joined twice).

PHEW.  Sorry for the length, but I tried to give as much detail as possible so that I can get the straightest answer any help is appreciated!

I have an answer to your question now if.

All this happened when you updated the BlackBerry am I right?  And since you're using 6.0.0.666 this version of the software has not been upgraded to our software support Web servers.  Until it is updated, you will have empty applications.

Now, if you click on Applications and view then the other versions, you can downgrade to 6.0.0.600 and you will see the installed applications.

  • Smartphones blackBerry Desktop Manager synchronization error - will not let me set the synchronization parameters

I have a new laptop and want to set up to synchronize it with my old Blackberry 8310 Curve just like he used to do with the old laptop.

I downloaded the latest version of the Desktop Manager (version 6.0.0.40) and I'm trying to configure synchronization settings, but am not able to.  I called Microsoft to see if there was no problem (I use Office 2010), and they said that I needed to talk to Blackberry.

    Here's what happens:

I connect my Blackberry to my laptop.

    I opened Desktop Manager 6.0.0.40.

I choose "Organizer" in the left menu, then "settings".

I get a pop-up window asking me to set up the calendar, tasks, etc. in turn by checking the box.

I have a box, for example "Calendar Setup" and select Outlook from the list of programs.

I click 'next' and then choose "two-way synchronization."

I click on 'next' and get an error message pop up with the title "Intellisync" which reads: "the operation completed unexpectedly."

This occurs for each content type, I check (calendar, tasks, address book...).

Anyone can shed some light on this?  I can't wait to get my useful Outlook once again and to have my data sync back!

    Thank you in advance!

    Hey elizabethdw,

    Thanks for the reply.

To resolve this problem, try to do a detect and repair in Microsoft Outlook.  That are done under help > Office Diagnostics.

Save the PST information just for pious!  To do this: file > import and export > export to a file > personal folder file, and then save this file on somewheres where you can find it.

If that does not resolve the issue, perform a clean uninstall of Microsoft Office and re - install only the full version, restart the computer after and then try to configure the synchronization.

I look forward to your reply.

  • Smartphones from blackBerry Desktop Manager - Calendar sync does not

I noticed today that my calendar sync has not worked for a week or two. Nothing moves device or outlook, they are simply not speaking.  When you click on synchronize that he told me that he is dealing with, he lights the BB with the photo of transfer, he tells me "please a moment" then stops and returns to DM (as if he did so quickly, that I missed). But it does nothing, I checked the paper, nothing is recorded for calendar synchronization.

Tasks, Memo, and address book are all working very well (it is a non set - up) so I've unchecked them to sync, so I can focus on the calendar.

I uninstalled the Desktop Manager (and cleaned of all research in the files of application etc.) and then reinstalled version DM 5 - which does not set it.

I used the backup & restore, Advanced Options and schedule database deleted completely then tried one-way synchronization from the pc to the device - that did not set it.

I tried restoring from an old calendar backup - which does not set it.

I restarted the phone - which does not set it.

3 hours later, I am all ideas... any help would be appreciated please.

I wiped my handheld completely computer (settings / options-> Security-> General settings options-> push the menu button and choose "scrub Pocket")

Restored from backup, and now the clock works again.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones PC does not recognize my 8530

Situation: My internet stopped working one day. Then I took at the Sprint store, they said it must be a software update. Internet works fine now, but now my computer don't recognize it as a moble device. It recognize it as a removable disk but a unaccessable. PC drivers or drivers phone?

    Thanks for the help.

    Barto,

I think that its designed to do this. You should run application separately. That's why I like BlackBerry. Unlike Apple where iTunes takes memory and runs continuously in the background. I have two 8530 s and it of just very portable things for the music and the Picts.

Unless I'm missing something, but I hope that the RIM BlackBerry, continues to keep it this way.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Desktop Manager 4.7 for BB "BOLD" - Roxio does not recognize the SD Media

I use the latest (version 4.7) Desktop Manager but Roxio will not recognize the SD card inserted in the phone.

I tried (2) Micro SD cards with data on them both.

The phone recognizes both cards and I can access the files via telephone.

I forgot one option in Roxio?

Hi and welcome to the forums!

Please tell us what type of PC OS you use. (Windows 2000, XP, Vista)

See if you can access the support card without using Desktop Manager.

Fix the USB on the BB and the PC. Do not use the Desktop Manager.

Go to 'My Computer' on the PC and the BB will be displayed as a flash drive.
Then you can "drag and drop" files on the BB.
Use the following settings in the option of "BOLD":

    Card support ON

    NONE encryption mode

(Storm AND "BOLD" only) Media Transfer Protocol

    WE support mass storage

Auto enable mass storage support when it is connected TO

I just got a Curve 8520 by mail. It did not come with a battery or anything because it's a replacement. So, I take the battery (100% load) on my Pearl Flip and put it in the curve.
