BlackBerry Smartphones Blackberry Device Manager vs XP 5.1 startup

Maybe it's just a coincidence, but since I installed the Blackberry Storm software, something weird happens with my office at startup.  I turn on, wait for the scripts start stop, then hit Outlook and here I am... but now I have to wait a whole minute after clicking on Outlook, IE, etc. until they are starting to work.  In the case of Outlook, I get a message no response for the last 30 seconds.  Any thoughts?

TNX!  Michael

Discovered the problem... I got Windows Defender installed in conc to Norton.  I uninstalled the defender and the problem disappeared.  Not a matter of BB Desktop Manager.

  • Smartphones blackBerry Device Manager hangs whenever I have sync

After talking to the Scott very useful to support of BlackBerry (Verizon tech help me connected to him), we have solved the problem by removing the Intellisync folder on my hard drive (one in Documents and Settings, drill down to your search for Motion record and that there should be an Intellisync folder) and then resync the BB to the computer. I think someone else has posted this solution in another thread and actually Verizon tried to guide me through this step, but they were not pointing me in the exact direction of the file to delete. It worked fine after that. He said a calendar item could have been damaged during synchronization, this is why it kept crashing when you try to read the calendar data. Hope that helps!

  • Smartphones blackBerry Device Manager update failed

    Hello

I use a BOLD 9900. lately, BB DEVICE MGR has not detected the 'disconnected' phone, so I installed an update reported by MGR of DEVICE.  the updated bundle 2108 v7.1 2807 bundle v7.1 update. during the sequence of steps displayed on the screen (SAVE; INSTALL; RESET; RESTORATION), the process has stalled to restart the COMPUTER, reports from CONNECTION to the DEVICE (this may take a few minutes). the phone is turned off and nothing has changed in 1 hour approximately. What should I do?

I accepted the loss of data and has decided to re - install the operating system on the phone. It turned out that the backup files created during the initial upgrade has been restored successfully once I got an operating system on the phone again. phone and software preconfigured desktop are same version (v7.1 bundle 2807).

  • BlackBerry Smartphones blackberry wiped my phone device manager!

I am so angry, I can't even begin to express my anger here.

Its almost 01:00 in the morning here, in South Africa, I loaded the blackberry Device Manager on my phone and tried to communicate between my laptop and blackberry, but and this is a big BUT, ad nauseam BB Device Manager kept asking me a password for the device. I typed and retyped my password a few times 4774!

Finally, on my 10th attempt he wiped my phone!

I'm so so upset, because I had some really important numbers that I saved this handset today.

I mean, tomorrow, I can't contact a business for a very important meeting.

I have this in my life right now. I am so angry, I'm spitting up, bile, honestly.

Can I give this phone, that's what I sincerely believe that it is right now!

This is an age new phone with numbers imported from my old phone.

Do not ask your old phone!

I've read a few posts on the BB reading of numbers as words... but I mean the devil WT?

Surely the people at BB can see that this is a common problem and DO SOMETHING TO STOP this PASSWORD THING.

    With Device Manager!

    EDIT: Removed censored words

    Hi apothecary.

Sorry to hear the loss of data in your BlackBerry.

In fact, it is a default feature for the safety of the aircraft, where to enter the password 10 times in a row is going to wipe your device. Is your device BES (business service) or BIS (individual service). If on BES so you can recover all PIM data that do not exist on your desktop e-mail program.

It is recommended that you always keep a backup copy of your data from the device so that you can avoid these unexpected events.

  • Smartphones from blackBerry Desktop Manager asking for Device Manager

When I try to boot my desktop manager, I get the following message:

"The Application Loader Wizard requires BlackBerry device manager must be installed.  Please contact customer support. »

But it seems that Device Manager is installed and running correctly.  It is also strange that the Office Manager window title says "connected - BlackBerry Desktop Manager»

Then another box opens with the title, "Current task" and it displays the message:

"Verification of updates of device applications.  Please wait... »

I can't do anything while it checks updates and pressing the button cancel has no effect.  I end up having to close the Manager program office via the windows Task Manager.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling with the supplied CD and downloading the latest version of the desktop on the web Manager software.  I am running Vista Home Premium 64.  Anyone who can point me in the right direction to get my BB works fine on this computer?  (It works fine on my XP computer)

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

Since it seems to be so many things, I suggest the following steps (reboots insert a lot of restarting your PC... not only restarts, but at full power down). In addition, it is recommended that you are connected to the PC on an account with full administrator rights. In addition, Vista, use the option "Run As Administrator" for everything.

    (1) remove the package to update your device OS of your PC (Add/Remove Programs)

    (2) properly uninstall the RIM DTM software:

    • KB02206 How to perform a clean uninstall of BlackBerry Desktop Software

    (3) get a new RIM DTM software download:

    • Choose the version which is more recent and (if any) compatible with your PIM (if you are synchornizing via USB):
    • KB12268 Applications supported by BlackBerry Desktop Manager to synchronize

    (4) to download a new copy of your package to your carrier OS device (on your PC):

    (5) install DTM on your PC

Installation of 6) (also on your PC), device OS package

    (7) start whatever you were trying again.

If all goes well, who's going to make things again.

Good luck and let us know!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones and Desktop Manager Device Manager

I'm confused. Is there a BlackBerry Desktop Manager and BlackBerry Device Manager? I have always used the BB Desktop Manager when I can't get a client device to synchronize properly by enabling wireless. So, what is the difference and where can I get the Device Manager?

you have a desktop software package that includes:

    • Device Manager (for tethering for example)
    • Pack Desktop Manager

    the Desktop Manager pack contains:

    • BlackBerry Desktop Manager only
    • Roxio Media Player (optional)
    • BlackBerry Media Sync (optional)

    the BlackBerry Desktop Manager includes:

    • a module of configuration BES or BIS (but not both)
    • a module to synchronize databases with a PIM desktop like Microsoft Outlook or IBM Lotus Notes (contacts, tasks, calendar)
    • backup / restore of module
    • an Application Loader module (which acts both as an installer of the OS and a theme/app Installer)

on top of all that you have drivers USB BlackBerry for BlackBerry devices.

  • BlackBerry 8310 Smartphone of Smartphones (BB has been DEAD for upgrading applications that use the Device Manager)

Hello, recently I wanted to install an application but got an error message saying AJAX is not supported on your platform - after checking the forums on this site, I found that I need to upgrade to 4.5.X and for that I downloaded from this site the "8310M_PBr4.5.0_rel52_PL2.7.0.55_A4.5.0.37 [1].

When I connect the device to the computer, I got the message from device manager asking if I want to upgrade applications to current version,

I did it-but suddenly during the upgrade process, my blackberry is turned off and since impossible to turn it on again, it looks like my smart phone is completely dead! There's just a red light on the top flashing...

That's all just amazing, because I have no idea why this happened because I used this official site and Device Manager was the one I downloaded from this site for 8310 Smartphone

    Can someone HELP me please?

  • Director of office of blackBerry Smartphones no connection BB recognition despite Device Manager recognizing the BB!

    I'm turning crazy connection.

I installed desktop manager 4.6 provided on the CD, as the user guide says. I connected the cable between my BB 8220 pearl.

The BB asks me if I want to turn Mode mass storage and I clicked 'YES '.

Explorer Windows allows me to view the contents of the phone.

BB Device Manager tells me that "" USB - PIN: xxxx is connected ".

YET in the Desktop Manager software on the upper left corner, it says 'Disconnect' and on the lower left corner, it says: "Device Connected (PIN): No.

Does anyone know why the BB device manager says the BB is connected by software office says the opposite?

I have tried everything to uninstall for re - install desktop Manager and also pass the phone power on and off.

    Help, please! Someone!

  • Update blackBerry Smartphones / Device Manager issue

Hey guys, I have a problem.

I recently acquired a Blackberry 8330 and let me start by saying this: it's one of the best machines I've ever held. It is simply amazing.

I installed the Device Manager and have been using it without any problem. Then, I went and did an update wireless with my phone, the upgrade of the OS. Since I did this, however, the Manager has recently stopped recognizing my device - my computer recognizes him again, as he charges when it is plugged in and I can always access to the hard drive, but for some reason, I cannot use the Device Manager to do anything - down, States in the Device Manager there is no trendy Black Berry as shown by the 'None' exposed next to the Pin number.

What can I do? I really need to access blackberry via the Device Manager. Someone, please help > _

    Things I've tried:

-Restart the Blackberry (both by pressing the red button and pull the battery and re insert)

-Update the device to the more recent version Manager

-The latest version is uninstalled, then download and install the version provided with the blackberry (4.2)

I noticed that the CD that came with the device itself does not contain the most recent edition of the Device Manager, if that means anything. It's just weird that the Device Manager has stopped working after I upgraded. Currently, my OS is V4.5.0.175. I've recently updated both my 8310 Black Berry - same question parents. Before, I could access it via Device Manager. Now, I can't. Please help me!

In addition, make sure you use only the root USB ports... without hubs (sometimes the front-end ports are hubs... use a rear USB port). And don't forget to try to disable the USB power management in the configuration of your system (Device Manager).

My apologies in advance if this is redundant - there is no way to be sure that if you have already seen and tried these.

  • Bluetooth in blackBerry Smartphones: Blackberry - GOLD-"Bluetooth devices" in the control panel Device Manager?

I am a beginner BB but computer user who slowly found pieces of the overall concepts of how my Blackberry is part of mail etc., servers local applications, Bluetooth, USB.  (Links to concepts of BB rather than appreciated step-by-step instructions!)

Here is my current problem: to connect my BB to my PC via Bluetooth it seems there are two places, I can do that: either in the "Bluetooth devices" item in Control Panel - or - in Device Manager Blackberry device with the button «Set up Bluetooth» connection tab

These two make it appear very similar windows that allow me to 'Add' a Bluetooth device, but they are clearly different applications.  What is the difference?  They are for the same purpose? Or are they totally different things such as plug in headphones to BB vs connect BB to the PC?

For the unknown error said check this KB.  With windows Vista, disable UAC normally solves the problem.  Something to try if the KB does not is, click on the button to reset configuration (synchronization, configuration tab)
