  Try running Firefox in questions to troubleshoot Firefox in Safe Mode. If it works properly in this configuration, then one of your modules is the culprit.

  If your BB is still enabled on your business system, you must talk to your BES admins... they apply this block through BES IT policy.

  If you want to say that you are separate from your company and no longer use their services, then their BES admins does not correctly clean your device when they gave it to you. In this case, you need this:

  You must of course a full backup first, the instructions for which you can find in my auto-sig on this post. But when you restore, make sure you DON'T make a full restore... just do a selective restore of the databases you need (e.g., contacts, calendar, etc.), especially avoiding any database that have nothing to with politics COMPUTER, company, etc.. If you do not restore those, you find yourself right back where you are now, because who will dutifully restore politics to the TI back to your BB.

  So, upgrade to a higher plan allows you to enable to open Facebook groups in the browser. There is a beta version of Facebook allows you to browse the groups Facebook app, not in the browser. But it has many bugs I encounter inside that groups such as scrolling of the issues and also some users with questions about the connection. I will give you the link, but please note that you will face problems on this App sign up to BlackBerry beta Zone. Look at Facebook and follow the instuctions given.

  I'm new to the fourm, and I found a lot of useful information from you guys here who really helped me with my blackberry bold 9700.

  One problem I have is that when I downloaded the facebook app on my phone it never allow me to log in. I get the error message "cannot connect because a data service is not available. Please try again later. If the problem persists, contact your support provider.

  The second problem is that my blackberry Messenger does not work for some reason when I add a person, it will add to my friends phone however will not register on mine it just stays in the pending contacts section.

  Please can someone help, it would be much appreciated.

  Hi, can anyone help please.  Trying to access through the Facebook BB icon Facebok.  He tries to connect but keeps displaying the same error message about unable to find the server.  I can connect to Facebok through Yahoo, Google used, but not the specific icon Blackberry.  When I turn on my wireless device, it let me through the Facebook icon, but not if wi - fi is disabled.  Any ideas?   HELP PLEASE! I have

  have a new "BOLD" with the version of the software/firmware 4.6.x and I have problems with the Facebook app.

  The only way to remove the icon for notifications is to uninstall the application, what I did using the PC BlackBerry Manager.

  There is no significant help from RIM, but there is a notice Tech say that the Firmware > 4.5 Versions are not compatible with the installed version of FaceBook, and that users should download the latest version of FaceBook on the internet.  I've been around this loop several times without success to get a properly functioning Facebook application on the Blackberry.

  OK, cool... then it is installed on the device... somewhere.

  Search in all THE files.

  On the home screen > Menu > SHOW ALL, so that ALL DISPLAY is checked.

  Look once again, in all cases and on the home screen.

  If your notification at the top of the screen icon receives notifications of FB increased, it is installed on your BlackBerry.

  for about 3 months, my phone was able to upload a photo on facebook and now whenever I try to upload a picture of my bb it will allows me to choose and it will download but the bb everything crashes and the white screen comes on and says "app error: reset?   It is a common, well known BB fault. It's something to do with the connection between your phone and the facebook server that does not. The best thing to do is to download not through the app, but to go on facebook on your PC, go to settings and then mobile. There is something about remittances of e-mail where to send you the images in an email and published on your mobile uploads. If you click on 'Send to my email address' they will send email to your email address and then save you it in your phone. Then whenever you want to download a photo, just email. The bar of the object is the unique photos legend.

  When you bind a single friend with a contact in the contacts application, profile picture of your friend, birthday, and job information are added to the contacts application.

  1. Press the Menu key
  2. Click on friends
  3. Click on a friend
  4. Click connect to BlackBerry contact
  5. Do one of the following tasks:

  • If the friend already exists in the application contacts, click Yes or Select Contact. Click on contact.
  • If the friend does not already exist in the contacts application, click on create new.

  To disassociate a friend for a contact in the contacts application, press the Menu key. Click friends. Click on a friend. Click Disconnect the BlackBerry contact.

  I just checked my phone and there is an icon at the top of the screen where any other view would be i.e. text, email, facebook, etc, but I have not seen this one before. It is a small black circle with an arrow pointing down and to the left, with a small red circle, which I think is the same when an email is unchecked.   Reportedly, this icon is the icon of upgrade to BlackBerry App World.  This icon indicates essentially that there are updates for the applications that you have downloaded to your phone.  Try going into App World and My World.  I think you should see what needs to be updated there.
