BlackBerry Smartphones Blackberry Internet Service does not work because of alleged network problem

Service provider changed APN on cellular network of 'internet' to 'without limitation' and since then, BIS does not work and the host Routing Tables are empty. The AFN was changed no doubt, but still not BIS. Changing TCP/IP settings had also no effect. Service provider has now said that RIM should fix things, one server RIM and asked this, but it doesn't seem to be any progress and whenever I call customer service, I have to explain the whole story. Swopper SIM with another phone with works by BIS, so the phone itself is very good. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

It is now almost a month and there is simply no progress to solve the problem. I was told that RIM would contact me directly, what has not happened. Should I cancel BIS on that number and activate it on another?

This seems unnecessary, but may be the only solution?

Hi all, the problem was solved today by a brilliant person who found the AFN is not correctly set up - after so! many technical support confirms that it was fine.  I guess it may have as some misspellings that are so obvious, you can just find them. After more than a month, I'm just relievd and grateful!

When debugging and throwing the query into SQL Dev, I have no records in my opinion wwv_flow_collections . Looking at the tables that make up the view, wwv_flow_collections$ and wwv_flow_collection_members$, these two tables would join on c.id = m.collection_id only, but there are additional chooses online involving the DUAL table and that the query returns 0 records and so the view is empty. I have never messed with these views/tables, are generated automatically by APEX? Can they be updated? Right now I just can't get all web services to work because of this. This is the clause for wwv_flow_collections view:

    I have worked this week to set up exactly the same thing and got the same empty result set you have. In this case, I believe that this has nothing to do with the APEX. I downloaded 4.0.1 soapUI that tests web services and WSDL file described in the APEX Web Services tutorial for http://www.ignyte.com/webservices/ignyte.whatsshowing.webservice/moviefunctions.asmx?wsdl to create the same sample applications. She returns also no results.

    So, I decided to use a different WSDL public and try to make it work. Here are my steps below:

    BACKGROUND:
    -J' use APEX 4.0 on a database of 11 GR 2, with set ACL in place for what is APEX scheme using this application.
    -The site I used, I found via google. This is a webservice for currency conversion rate. It is explained here: http://www.webservicex.net/CurrencyConvertor.asmx
    -The WSDL can be found here: http://www.webservicex.net/CurrencyConvertor.asmx?WSDL

    IMPLEMENTATION OF THE WEB SERVICE:
    1. in a new APEX application, I went to ' * shared components * "->" * Web Service references * "->" * create * ' to create a new web service reference
    2 selected Manual
    3. calls on the Web CURRENCY_TEST service
    4. set the URL http://www.webservicex.net/CurrencyConvertor.asmx
    5. set the Action http://www.webserviceX.NET/ConversionRate (Action can be found in the WSDL file - showing a few lines below)















    6 WSDL explains that the version is * 1.1* in this case. (However, this same WSDL has the same operation for 1.2 so it would probably work)
    7. No authentication
    8 soapUI 4.0.1 gave me the soap request which in this case is the following:

    #TO_CURRENCY#




    9 response stored in the collection CURRENCY_COLLECTION
    10 saved my web service reference
    11. test the web service reference (you must be on the web service references page and instead of displaying the report icon, use the display of the list.) Click the test to test the web service)
    12. on the test page, change #FROM_CURRENCY # USD (for U.S. dollars) and #TO_CURRENCY # EUR (Euros)
    13. click on the test button and you should see a valid soap response with a currency rate in ConversionRateResult tags

    USING THE WEBSERVICE AND GET RESULTS:
    1 is returned to the application and press on ' * Create Page * "->" * form * "->" * form and report on Web Service. "
    2 pick my CURRENCY_TEST web service reference
    3. following on the next page
    4. for input parameters, left the defaults to create 2 entries, From_Currency , and To_Currency
    5 SOAP Style for this is Document (found in the WSDL file as an attribute just after the soapAction in the WSDL snippet above attribute)
    6 message is literal format (also present in the WSDL: output for this operation under the attribute use above)
    7 XPATH is a bit complicated. In this case put * / ConversionRateResponse * (I used the soapUI 4.0.1 to send the request and soap response to see which would include the tags of the answer and that way I'll)
    8. message Namespace is http://www.webserviceX.NET/ (which is also present in the response soap message - I really recommend a tool to test it outside the APEX)
    9. for the names of parameters it is only one and it is ConversionRateResult (also present in the response soap message)
    10. Finish and run the report.

    OTHER TRAPS:
    So I finally got this to work, but in my case I asking a webservice to use and tags xml, that I'll be back are all xmlns:ns0 and all the tags response preceded ns0:

    In this case I had to after using the wizard to go back and change my request to change xmlns to xmlns:ns0 since the manufacturer applies only xmlns.

    This document has got to be updated. Port 8080 is the port that I am connected. I opened the administration remotely on my router, which was on port 8080. I then tried to connect via my "BOLD". Note that WiFi was off. It connected properly.

    Note that I was not using https. Your using https? Maybe is the combination limited?

    I used 4.6.0.266 (451), in which case there might be a difference.

    OK, now it works. The "BOLD" had to be activated manually by my carrier; He didn t connect automatically as it should. Then I had to make several soft resets, changed the unit - so I needed another site (country), not that we mention here - and finally the "BOLD" connected to the Initernet - finally!

    So, the BB seems to be a bit complicated; never encountered such problems using my Pearl. But in any case, now it works.

    Step 1:

    Look for the DHCP Client service and DNS Client Services if they are started.

    b. click on run and type Services.

    Check if the below mentioned services has mentioned State and type start.

    Client DHCP started Automatic\Manual.
    Client DNS started Automatic\Manual.

    Also check the dependency that are required for the DHCP Client services and DNS Client Service runs.

    To verify that double-click the service, and click the Dependencies tab.

    Step 2:

    I suggest you to reset TCP/IP settings to solve the problem.

    I have a laptop model Toshiba P205-56347 running Vista home premium and a lynksis WRT54G V8 router model.  The WLAN light is solid and the internet light flashes on the Linksys.  I have Comcast cable as my ISP.

    I've seen reported similar problems.  All of a sudden my wirless acess stopped working, some networks are displayed and I get the message 'windows wireless service does not work on the computer.  I am not able to restart the windows wireless.  I can't connect to the internet on the laptop.  I have a DELL PC and can access the internet here if necessary.

    In the network and Discovery Center, I see that network discovery is disabled.  I can't set it to on.

    Under system devices, I have the following network cards: Intel (r) Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN and Realtek RTL8101 Family PCI - E Fast Ethernet NIC (NDIS6.0).

    Help, please.  I'd appreciate any help.  I need a good starting point for resolution and wouldn't start using suggestions that corrects other issues.  I design financial systems and purchase online, but I'm not a technical person with regard to updates Vista, drivers, etc..

    You can try running sfc/scannow to see if you have corrupted files. That won't be a further problem on your pc. After that, you want to make sure you have the latest drivers for your laptop, especially drivers of the NIC (network card). Go to the following link to Toshiba for your model and download those:

    My internet connection does not work with a Wi - Fi connection.

    It is a pity that you describe your problem WLAN so little time and we don t know what you tried exactly and what results are there.

    For properly WLAN use two hardware components must be configured right - the router itself and laptop. It will be interesting to know on what are the instructions you wrote.

    I stumbled upon your post on the laptop and wanted to help you! I looked in your question about your laptop HP 2000 and the Intel Rapid Storage Technology Service is not running. Click the windows services key type.

    Verify your Intel Rapid Storage Technology Service is not on the manual and the service has been started. The service should be automatic and started. Once these settings are correct, restart the laptop.

    You can do a System Restore. System Restore will help if something is automatically updated and wasn't on the laptop.

    When running a system restore note remove all USB devices. Disconnect all non-essential devices because they can cause problems.
