  Have you tried to update via web download from Verizon or blackberry site?  I did like that even before the notification of upgrade on the storm or even before installing office.  You plug the device to your PC with the USB cable and try this:

  Hello, I bought my first blackberry a few weeks back and so far I'm in love. How ever I have one question that I havn't found another answer anywere so I registered to post on this.

  I synchronize my "BOLD" between 2 computers both running Desktop manager 4.7 but they say that the bold is software update required before each synchronization.   I have BB z10 stl100-1 and I had never updated my device with an official firmware. I had the version 10.2.0 * and I tried to update phone, then I tried to update to link to BB, but it says I have the latest version, but I know that's not everytime.   Official update releases are completely at your operator, not BlackBerry.   However, here's what I propose...

  The easiest way is, on a PC (you can not do on MAC):

  (1) make sure you have a current backup and your BB complete... you can find complete instructions via the link in my sig auto below. (It's probably debatable given the errors you have... it is likely that your data are already parts of your device, which means that you must now rely on a backup you took before that happened.)

  2) uninstall all the BB OS packages from your PC,

  (3) make sure you have the BB Desktop Software already installed

  (4) download and install on your computer, the BB OS package you want:

  • If all you want are the levels of BONE, it is first sorted by carrier - the carrier supports, your search will be fast. However, some carriers are much slower than others to release updates. To really get the package up-to-date OS for your BB, you need to dig through and find all businesses that support your specific model BB and then compare the BONE levels they support.

  5) remove all copies of the SELLER on your PC. XML... There will be at least one and maybe 2, and they will be located in the same way or to (it changes based on your version of Windows) these files:

  On your home screen the unit go to Options > device > application > locate and remove BlackBerry App world in this list.

  Once deleted perform a battery pull reboot by removing the battery whiel your device is turned on, wait a min. and then reinsert this return. Finally, after the reboot, use your BlackBerry browser and navigate to www.blackberry.com/appworld/download and download the latest version available for your device.

You can even use a different OS package carriers simply insert, between steps 1 and 2, the deletion, on your PC, a file named PROVIDER.
