I have a blackberry torch 9860 and its deadlock over 18% on the software update, Ive out twice the battery, then no difference and my habit of blackberry desktop to pick it up, ID really appreciate it if someone could help me please!

As soon as possible!

Thank you!

If BlackBerry Desktop Software does not recognize your phone, you're really out of luck. It is imperative that the BDS connects to your phone.

RIM has this to say about getting your phone to connect to the BDS:

I hope that helps you.

Hello and welcome to the community!

I recommend that you try to start safe mode:

    • KB17877 How to start a smartphone BlackBerry in Mode safe

It will take several attempts to get the combination of keys ESC (press/release/hold) OK, so be patient. When properly in Safe Mode, see what happens.

If the behavior continues, then well... think what happened just before this behavior started? A new application? An update? A theme? Something else? Think carefully that the slightest change can be causal... and try to undo all that was.

But if the behavior continues mode without failure, you may need to consider more drastic measures - WIPE, OS Reload, BBSAK Wipe/Reload and the process of reloading OS 'skeleton '. To prepare, you should be sure that you have a full backup of your PC... Please see the Backup link in my sig auto on this post for instructions.

Also please consider it maybe a problem with the hardware... for which no amount of internet-remote diagnosis or solutions at the level of the OS/software will be of no use.

Good luck and let us know!

  • BlackBerry Torch 9860 smartphones does not connect with the pc via the USB port.

We have a new Torch 9860 which does not connect with a PC via the USB port.  What should do?

    SlaKir wrote:

    The answer is YES

Well, then your USB port is likely.

Restart the PC and BlackBerry (with smart BlackBerry power onthe phone, remove the battery for a minute and then reinsert the battery to restart).

Then, connect with the USB cable and a rear main USB port at the back of the PC, not a front USB port.

Hear a ringing or sound from the PC indicating that the BlackBerry is connected?

Start the BlackBerry Desktop Manager software. Give it a minute to recognize the connected BlackBerry device... you see the code PIN of BlackBerry on the PC in the BlackBerry Desktop software?

  • Problems of blackBerry Smartphones Blackberry Torch 9860

    I have the Torch 9860

I bought a few months ago. I was not happy with the speed or the softness of my phone. There are several times when it works very well and I'm happy with it, but there are too many times when I am very dissatisfied with it.

He will go through periods where it freezes for 10 seconds at a time and also time when it will not unlock for 10-20 seconds each time. I hit the Unlock button and nothing happens until about 10-20 seconds later and my phone will often fly through everything trying to catch up and eventually open random apps or icons that I didn't open. Every night and often throughout the day, I'll check if the unused applications are closed, email & messages, as well as internet history is all removed in the hope to run more smooth/more fast. I also use the Auto on/off function every night.

I looked all over for an e-mail with Blackberry about this investigation, but I couldn't find a place signle contact everywhere on the site other than here...

Is there anything else I can do to improve this? In the ad, he explains how quickly and is smooth in this phone, but I was disappointed a lot too.

    Thank you.

Try a battery pull if you please, with the BlackBerry device powered on, remove the battery 15 seconds and then reinsert the battery to reboot the device. This will clear all hide as restarting a PC. Then try again and see if the problem persists.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Portuguese (Brazil) language input for BlackBerry Torch 9860 3 Optus Australia

Hello! Can someone help me please? I write a lot of texts and emails in Brazilian Portuguese and it would be very useful if I had it in my camera because the phone is always trying to change my words. I checked the input languages, I already installed on the phone and there is no Portuguese. I tried to check on the desktop software there is no Portuguese there. The software running in my phone is 7.1.0 Bundle 921 (5.1.0.230 platform v7.1.0.267). Thank you.

    Hi lulisbeiro,

You want to do is get a version of the OS that has the languages included.  Try to download the version of Telus Mobility, as it is the same version of the OS, but has all of the included languages.  You can download it here (simply select the 9860 Torch in the dropdown menu drop-down):

    https://swdownloads.BlackBerry.com/downloads/entry.do?code=02A32AD2669E6FE298E607FE7CC0E1A0

Once you have downloaded the OS, install it on your computer, and then reload the operating system using the following steps:

    1. Above all, back up your BlackBerry device.  Open BlackBerry Desktop Manager and select backup and restore.  In the next screen, select backup and perform a full backup of your data on the device.  Note the location of the backup file (usually in the Documents folder).  Close the BlackBerry Desktop Manager and let your connected device.
    2. Open Windows Explorer and navigate to the following folder: C:\Program Files\Common search in Motion\AppLoader\ and delete the Vendor.xml file.  Then, open the Loader.exe file in the same folder.  On 64-bit computers, the file is located in C:\Program Files (x 86) \Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader.  According to the settings on your computer, you may need to show hidden folders (under file > Options for Windows XP or organize > folder and Search Options in Windows Vista).
    3. After the configuration of the aircraft has been recovered, you will be on the device Application selection page.  You can scroll through the list for all desired applications are selected.  You can also deselect all applications that you do not use to save space.  Click Next.
    4. On the next page, click on the Advanced button.  Check the two checkboxes (delete all application data and delete all currently installed applications) are checked.  Click Next.
    5. To proceed with the OS reinstall.  Note that this process can take 10 to 30 minutes (usually about 10 minutes).  Do not unplug the device.
    6. Once the process is complete, open the BlackBerry Desktop Manager.  Select backup and restore and open the restore application.  Select the file to restore (Backup-(Year-Month-Day) .ipd) and click Open.  Follow the steps to restore your device.
    7. Re-activate your connection to device by clicking on manage connections and turn on your Mobile network.  Download all the missing applications and re - connect to any device BlueTooth and you have completed.

Who should do it for you!

  • BlackBerry Torch 9860 (GSM) smartphone connects to 3G

    Hello

I hope someone can help me. I have a new Torch 9860 GSM () and everything loaded fine, but it connects to 3G network. I don't get the Blackberry symbol and it remains on the EDGE. It connects to the WiFi and works pretty well on wi - fi. I have download the books service and went to the Table host routing and selected 'Register Now'... and I get the email that it was registered... but never, it connects to 3G.

It is a torch unlocked with AT & T software... but it is not an AT & T phone, self... If that makes sense. When it starts it says "SFR 3 g +" where AT & T would normally... etc...

What should I do, if anything, to connect to the 3G network... ?  I'm just dreaming... ?  Laughing out loud

    Thank you!

    Lisa

    Hi lkscales,

Unfortunately, I believe the Torch 9860, maybe you bands bad for full on AT & T 3G data access. It probably will work correctly on TMobile, but you will only be able to get AT & T EDGE speeds.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. If you want to try to change someone, find a Torch 9860 of Telus, Rogers, Bell, AT & T, etc. The version you have should work fine on SFR, TMobile USA and Wind Mobile (to Canada).

    I hope this info helps!

  • Smartphones from blackBerry Torch 9860 uses any WiFi

    Hi all

I bought the BB Torch 9860 before two days and I already have the plan for the data set (200 MB). I connected to my WiFi at home, and it shows that it is connected. Now when I'm at home and I want to surf the internet, it's using the carrier's data package, but I want to use WiFi. I've looked everywhere and I can't find a solution. any help?

    Notes:

On the home screen, I can see my WiFi network name and my name carrier (Etisalat). When I go to "Manage connections", it shows that I am connected to the wireless network. but I've never seen signal icon WiFi in blue or green or any color that gray (which means that the BB does not use WiFi at all)
I want to set the default internet access in WiFi. But how?
Some people told me that it will automatically switch between WiFi and the packet data, but as far as I see it, it switches at all.

    It's my WiFi diagnostic report:

    Any ideas?
    Appreciated in advance...

    Here are some tips:
When your Wi - Fi connector is enabled on your torch, you get a grey logo Wi - Fi on your home screen.

When your flashlight is really connected to your local Wi - Fi network, the Wi - Fi icon becomes bright white. So if it is not the case, open the details of the Wi - Fi network (perhaps you incorrectly typed in the for example shared key)

now, once the Wi - Fi icon is white light, it means that anything on your device will connect preference towards the world of the internet using Wi - Fi instead of cellular network.

I know that you have a BlackBerry 7 device, but please read this article of the public knowledge base, it is pretty close to what should happen on your device, in theory:

Article ID: KB23699 Selection of browser simplified to BlackBerry 6

  • Smartphones from blackBerry Curve 9300 stuck on the Welcome screen

    Hey.

I have a BB Curve 9300. It is around the age of 7 months and am running OS 5. I got an update of the application for an application "economic climate". This is a news app and used it for a month. After the update, it asked for a reboot so I clicked restart now. It has been restarted normally, and then it got stuck on the Welcome screen (the white screen where it says just BlackBerry® as well as the blackberry logo). I tried to reboot again, but it gets stuck on the same screen. I don't know what to do. I rebooted it several times but whenever he is stuck on the Welcome screen. I also tried to wait outside hoping he would come, but waited for half-anhur and it was still stuck.

    Could offer some advice please?

    Thank you.

Problem solved. Started in safe mode. delete the app have apparently he had some problems. In safe mode, delete the app and rebooted. It worked fine after that.

  • Completely dead blackBerry Torch 9860 smartphones

    Hello

I just got a Torch 9860. To connect to our corporate network, I was advised to remove the battery and re-insert it to force a hard reset. After that, he seems to have made the device completely unusable. It does not meet the power button, no lights don't Flash, nothing. The battery was at nearly 70 percent before this happened, so I don't think it's a question of level of battery charge. I have it plugged into the supplied charger and no still no sign of life - not even a charging light after several hours. The battery is inserted correctly.

Are there clever ways to resurrect or should simply be returned for a replacement? It is rather disappointing that it would fail almost immediately.

    Thank you!

I think I came to the same conclusion. There seems to be nothing else that can be done. I'm still very puzzled why a systematic hard reset would be "brick" the device. I hope that the next section is more robust.

    Thanks for your help!
