  Has anyone tried installing the USB drivers for the 50g on Windows 8?

  Conn4x installed well but USB drivers comes. I tried all available troubleshooting options using the features of Windows 8 compatibility (XP, Vista and 7) and none of them worked.

  So I was wondering, maybe someone here may have already installed and could share some tips.

  I read messages in other forums indicating that the conn4x and the USB driver peut be installed.

  The post on the forum indicated that Windows 8 comes pre-configured with the possibility for signed drivers enabledapplication.

  In order to install the USB driver, signed driver enforcement must be disabled.

  1 you get an error when trying to install the device driver?

  We checked the compatibility with Windows 7 and not found any information about it. This means that the unit may or may not be compatible with Windows 7.

  We recommend that you install the driver of current device manually in Windows XP service pack 2 or Vista compatibility mode and check if is installed successfully. To do this, try the following steps:
  Step 1: Force the program to run in compatibility mode
  a. right-click on the configuration of the device driver file, and then click Properties.
  b. click on the Compatibility tab.
  c. the compatibility mode section, check ' run this program in compatibility mode for "and select"Windows XP Service Pack 2 "in the drop-down list.
  d. under "Privilege level" section, check "run this program as an administrator".
  e. click ok to apply the changes.
  f. open the file and install the driver.
  g. restart the computer and check the difference.

  Installation instructions for Windows 7 (from Aceeca) are included in the download.
  
  Basic instructions:
  
  1 download the drivers and extract them in the same folder.  Remember the folder that you extracted to.
  
  2. try to HotSync your device.  It will fail.
  
  3. open the Device Manager and look for the yellow Triangle next to the other "Acceca" or "'Palm device ' in the"Other devices"section."
  
  4. right click on the device and choose "Update driver software".
  
  5. choose "Browse my computer for software" and guide them to the folder that you extracted the drivers Aceeca.
  
  6 choose 'Next' in the driver and then file location window tell him 'Confidence always Aceeca Ltd. software', then click on the button "install".
  
  7. I received an error message (Vista64) who told me "the drivers have been installed, but the device could not be opened." I realized my TX had expired, and fell asleep.  I tried a HotSync and it worked!

  NOTE: Palm Desktop 6.22 may only multimedia show and install.  Here's how to fix this:

  If Palm Desktop 6.2.2 shows only the media and installation, try this: right click on the shortcut for Palm Desktop, and then choose 'run as administrator '.  Other modules should appear.

  To Palm Desktop run as administrator every time in Windows 8 / 8.1:

  Close to Palm Desktop, if it is open.  (This is a very important thing to do when you use 6.2.2 - it has been known to lose data when a computer is shut down without closing the program!)

  Right click on the desktop icon of Palm in the metro screen, then choose "open file location".  You will now see the actual file for the shortcut.

  Right-click on the file "Palm Desktop" shortcut, then properties.  Now, choose the tab compatibility at the top.

  At the bottom of the Compatibility tab is a checkbox: "run this program as an administrator", click OK.

  Try to open the Palm Desktop, all parties must appear.  You can see a box opens when you close the program asking "did the program runs correctly.   I chose 'Yes', and it has been working fine since then!

  If you are using a much older PalmOS device and try using Palm Desktop 4.x, you will need this additional patch Pimlico Software:

  WARNING *.

  HP does not recommend installing Windows 7 on a computer comes with Windows 8, and it will support the installation of Windows 7. HP doesn't provide drivers for Windows 7 and the appropriate drivers are not available for the hardware in the computer. In addition, Windows 7 can not take in charge some of the hardware or software designed for the computer.

  Make sure you create your media recovery HP or USB Flash Recovery discs before you edit or change anything.

  You should ENABLE 'Secure Boot' and maybe 'Legacy Support' in the 'BIOS Setup boot secured' on the settings page below, before you try to install Windows 7;

  

  In addition, as the hard drive is partitioned as TPG, you must start the computer by using the "UEFI - CD/DVD drive" in the start menu "F9". If "UEFI - CD/DVD drive" or something to that effect does not exist in the start menu, please post a screenshot and/or make startup listed options.

  I suggest to use a disc of Windows 7 SP1 for the best installation experience. If you need a Windows SP1, see 'How to install Windows 7 without the disc' to download and create your own. If the DVD does not start as UEFI, you may need to use a USB Flash drive (can ask "Quick start" DISABLING in BIOS) as the installation media.   I recently bought a laptop HP Pavilion G6-2260sh. on the site of HP Unfortunatelly there are only drivers for Windows 8. I don't want Windows 8, I need Windows 7 operating system.
  When I got the laptop there is an installed Windows 7 Ultimate with drivers. So it must be drivers for Windows 7 for HP Pavilion G6-2260sh... somewhere, unfortunately I messed type of windows and now it needs to be reinstalled. I asked a few questions autour and the guy who sold me the laptop and this is the situation:
  My laptop is with AMD processor and video card. He told me to reinstall what version of Windows 7, I want, then install the wireless card and ethernet so I can connect to the Internet. Then download and install a small program called "amd autodetect", this program will automatically find and download all the drivers.

  I don't have ethernet internet at home, I have only wireless.

  The problem is: after installing Win 7 how I'm supposed to install the wifi card to get this internet connection and deal with the AMD AUTODETECT program with all the drivers?

  Could you point me to somewhere I can find a driver for the wireless card. ? If there are drivers for everthing will be great! I'm looking a lot.

  I'm trying to connect my phone using the usb cable that came with my phone.  Nothing happens when I plug.  It does not register any type of removable storage device (it don't even make the noise it makes when I plug it into any other usb device).  I can't find drivers for Windows 7 anywhere.  This worked perfectly on this computer, when I was using Windows Vista Ultimate Edition, but does not at all, now that I've installed Windows 7.   I managed to do work by turning the phone on and off the power while it was plugged in to the computer.  Strange.  But now it recognizes the phone and downloaded the appropriate drivers automatically.  Just a tip for anyone else who might have the same problem.
