BlackBerry Smartphones "BOLD" disorders after 4.6 and 4.7

I just got my "BOLD" of ATT, about 2 weeks ago and love it. I've updated the Desktop Manager last night to 4.7 and now the computer remember the BB, but it does not read Office Manager.

I've tried different USB, follow the advice of connection via the Apps Loader and nothing seems to work. All the settings are the same, but not on what the case is no longer.

Any advice?

After an hour on the phone with tech support, I did a reset and reloaded the software and it worked. So I guess that the software was bad.

Maybe this will help someone else.

    Hi Tamara133

Welcome to the Forums of the BlackBerry Support

If you stay at 9320 curve then more easiset way to do this is an Assistant to switch device using Desktop software.

KB23677  :  How to switch using BlackBerry Desktop Software devices.

Or if you want to perform a selective restore to your new 9320 then first do a full backup of your old 9700 using desktop software. Once you have your backup connect your 9320 and run the software, select the device from software > restore > data choose selected since your last backup you did > scroll down the list and select only the password keeper and memo key data in this list, then click on apply.

  • BlackBerry smartphones "BOLD": slow response after addition of media card / copy of audio files

    Hi, guys.

I bought the "BOLD" a few weeks ago and enjoy it a little. Last week, I added a 16 GB memory card was added so that she could serve double duty as my mp3 player and the device continued to play normally. Today, I copied around 8 GB of music to the card and then noticed that the performance was substantially degraded. There is literally a 2-3 second delay when moving the trackball until UI catches up and moves the menu that also applies to any other button / features.

After working with computers for years, I restarted the phone to see if it would help, but the problem remains. I went to options and then removed the card media (leaving physically in the phone). Immediately, performance returned to normal without any delay. Added it back, and latency immediately surfaced.

Then, I went to the media app to play the music. There are abandoned during playback, and I also noticed that at the bottom there is a blue line with the word "Scanning". I suspect that she is currently trying to index the 8 GB of audio files. If this is the case, and it is a hit time while this is the case, I'm fine with it. However, if it is not a one time thing then to have a large amount of data on a media card seems to make the phone unusable, because I can't live with 2 second delays in the UI or dropouts in audio playback because something else is hogging the CPU.

Has anyone else met this with large amounts of audio / photos / data on press card? If so, the problem disappear after indexing, or is this a bug with the phone? Any input would be most appreciated.

    Thank you

    Chris

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

Indeed, the sweep is a single contract with a media card is inserted. Until the scan is running, overal performance is indeed sluggish. I suggest leave completely full, then make a good sweater-bat reboot to update the operating system to optimal health.

Good luck and let us know!

    (1) make sure that you have Blackberry Desktop Manager installed.
    http://NA.BlackBerry.com/eng/services/desktop/
    (2) on your PC, go to start > run and copy and paste the following line exactly (i.e. with quotation marks):

    'c:\program files\common research in motion\apploader\loader.exe' /nojvm

    (3) the Application Loader Wizard will appear - click on "next".
    (4) in the ' connection: ' drop-down menu, you should see "USB - PIN: UNKNOWN". Click on the button "next".
    (5) you should see a list of applications ready to be installed for your Blackberry. Press Next and finish, and that you are well on your way to get your Blackberry to life.

Just unplug and let the process finish completely.

NOTE: If you do not display the list of applications mentioned in step 5 and instead to see the message "the Blackberry Desktop Software has no Blackberry Device Software for the device you have connected to the computer. Contact your wireless service provider or system administrator', then you must download the Blackberry operating system for your support and your device.

  • BlackBerry smartphone password reset after the end of support

I have no more phone support.

My old password does not work.

I can't get my ID blackberry for work.

I want to just this device to open.

This means that you have your employers device, they have you removed from their network and forced a new password to you. You can call to ask what is the password.

BUT, probably, their intention to reset the password is for you to do a wipe of the device security so that none of the persistent employer email, data, etc., remain on this device.

After clearing security, you end up with essentially a new, fresh, device with no previous, ready to install as a personal device data.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones location of saved Text messages and downloads please as a desire to update the device software

I have a Blackberry 9300. I noticed while testing option 'restore' in Blackberry Desktop Software 'Saved messages' is grey so not able to restore and downloaded programs were not included in the backup course so I'm delaying the update of the OS 6 bundle OS 6 bundle 1879 2949 until I can get these issues resolved. First of all, where are my saved text messages would be they located on the SD card? Secondly, where are the downloaded applications and how would bring him back, I should reinstall individually or is there a better method I guess updating the software of the device would eliminate any reference to them? I was also interested to read your information on the primary database of smartphone that made me wonder if it was at this location that the saved text messages were built. I mention this as I save some of my text messages I can consult at any time by selecting 'View the Messages stored' in the menu messages text, which lists the emails and text messages, that you saved.

The Interface of Messages is against the databases on the BB... Watch a saved messages can be as simple as a filter that is applied to display only those, but always from the same database. Also understand that the 'Messages' is a term Super set, with "email", "SMS", and other types of messages into subsets.

Saving messages electronic elsewhere are not a problem but saved SMS backup does not seem to be an option, why would I need to check this feature before upgrading the device software. Appreciate your answer to that one.

As I said, I suspect saved SMS Messages to be a subset of the base of great set 'SMS Messages"together with the message 'saved' being a subset within this database.

I can't answer definitively for you because I've never had the problem you are experiencing. You may need to test to know for sure.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones "BOLD" battery draining - overheating problems

    Hi all

I'm new here I have BlackBerry for almost 2 years (curve 3000) and I was really happy with it (no problems) then I bought "BOLD" Saturday and has exhausted the battery - overheating problems! I downloaded the new software from T-Mobile Croatia site (they have one last but which did not help) after recharging and stay all night, he went flat within 6-7 hours so I went today (Monday) and they swapped the device for me, now I'm waiting to see what will happen. I have 4 questions:

1 can I download new software version of the device from the BlackBerry site that even I bought in Croatia from T-Mobile and which will have consequences on the device? If yes what are they?

    2. what causes this battery drain - overheating problems and how they can be stopped?

    3. is Facebook app in conflict with "BOLD"? Yes I have it on mine.

4 are all the other apps in conflict with it, i.e. Windows Live Messenger because I have too much that one on it?

    Thanks in advance!

    1. no consequence... the latest version of the "BOLD" OS device is located here:

    http://www.BlackBerryForums.com/General-9000-series-discussion-bold/194263-OS-9000-bold-4-6-0-477-4-...

2 could be a number of issues, several. You have 3G enabled on your "BOLD", on the one hand, (manage connections > Mobile Network Options?, and you have a 3 G with Tmobile Croatia network?) I know not flippant, you could ask that. If your device is constantly looking for a 3 G network and not finding what will cause the big battery drain.

Check your applications running in the background. There are usually four or five applications that will be always running (Messages, Call Logs/phone, BlackBerry Messenger, home screen and the browser; there are others such as BeamBerry and alarms which will run also). Ensure that the browser is NOT on an active Web page (must return the bookmarks page only). Close all other applications that do not need to be running (the camera or a game you were playing or Google Maps).

3 No.The FB app is developed by RIM.

    4. What do you mean 'in conflict '?
