BlackBerry smartphones by using Wi - Fi without Bb Enterprise Server connection?

My employer does not Bb Enterprise Server. I get my email Exchange 2003 by running Desktop Redirector on my desktop PC.

Enterprise Server is required to use the Wi - Fi function? If I go to a Wi - Fi hotspot as a café-restaurant, the "BOLD" uses the Wi - Fi connection for e-mail and navigation?

Wi - Fi is used only for an internet connection for calls, text (SMS), picture (MMS), it requires a connection to your provider.

I hope this helps.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Internet using WiFi possible without Mobile provider?

I have a Blackberry Bold 9650 with no Mobile provider (he previously had Verizon).  Is it possible to use the Internet on the Bold 9650 by connecting to my WiFi at home, or is it only possible if the phone has Mobile provider service active? I am able to use Internet on my iOS and Android phones using WiFi with no Mobile provider, but I get the impression that it is impossible on the Bold 9650.  I connect to my WiFi at home, but I get no Internet service on the phone.  I also want to upgrade the operating system from 5 to 6, but the BlackBerry Desktop Software says that the upgrade is not available, because I have no Mobile provider?

I was wrong.  I think OS6 for the 9650.  Without a data plan, it's a bit more involved to date, however.  You must wipe the device completely and then reload the OS from scratch.

You have to find a company that offers the update by download.  Here are the instructions.

    1. start by searching for your operator and the system operating file that you want to use.

    http://NA.BlackBerry.com/eng/support/downloads/download_sites.jsp

    2. it's not bad to do a manual of your device first, backup using the Desktop Manager > backup. Close at the end Office Manager and disconnect it from BlackBerry. You can get the BlackBerry Desktop Software here http://us.blackberry.com/apps-software/desktop/

    3. download the OS from step 1 of the file on the PC then install on the PC by running (double click) the downloaded file.

    4. go into c:\program files Research in motion\apploader and delete the file named "vendor.xml." Also, check the following locations for the vendor.xml file and delete all instances of the file:

On Windows Vista/7, go to C:\Users\YOUR_USER\AppData\Roaming\Research in XML Motion\BlackBerry\Loader (where 'YOUR_USER' is your user name)

On Windows XP, go to C:\Documents and Settings\YOUR_USER\Application is In Motion\BlackBerry\Loader XML (where 'YOUR_USER' is your user name)

5 use BBSAK from BBSAK.org and wipe the device (after doing a full backup), then after you get the 507 error (no OS installed) then go to the next step.

    6. plug the BlackBerry and double-click on "Loader.exe." It is located in c:\program files\common research in motion\apploader

  • BlackBerry smartphones anyone using VIP access with Paypal payment method in the world of BlackBerry?

I'm in trouble. I suspect either BlackBerry World does not support two-factor authentication, or I'm doing something wrong. If you use with Paypal VIP access into the world of BlackBerry and to do with success, please tell me how you do it.

    Background...

Today I received the error described at http://support.blackberry.com/kb/articleDetail?ArticleNumber=000036300

I had created Paypal in BlackBerry World before I had activated two-factor authentication in Paypal, but I made purchases since then without problem, until today.

I deleted Paypal but could not add it back.

I found this old thread which shows the BlackBerry World does not have authentication to two factors, but this is an old thread and maybe things have changed.

    http://supportforums.BlackBerry.com/T5/downloaded-applications/problem-using-PayPal-in-app-world/TD-...

I tried with just: password right and I tried with password and code added at the end of the password.

    Follow-up...

    Finally, it worked.

Think about the possibility that BlackBerry World supports authentication two factor and that maybe I have do the procedure correctly, but maybe there is a temporary break in the system somewhere, I kept trying periodically.

Finally, it worked. Even after moments before getting the same error, it finally worked.

So, to confirm: If you configure paypal as method of payment in the world of BlackBerry, and you use two-factor authentication with paypal in conjunction with VIP access, enter your PayPal username and password and then add the authentication code on the end of your password.

Suggestions if you get an error saying message try again later: wait a minute. Look for the code update and use this code immediately. Do not use a code that is subject to maturity; wait for a charge code and use it immediately. If you still get an error message, try again several times, with a charge code every time. If you still get an error message, wait a few moments and try again.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones can use a BES smartphone if I'm not on a business network?

I've been a user of "BOLD" for years but my phone is dead and let me move on to the flame that I've wanted to since it was released. I'm on the network of O2 in England but for now in Florida roaming on T-Mobile. I had a 9810 opportunity on eBay and I'm trying to implement, but it does not recognize my BlackBerry ID. While on this thread of community, I discovered that there is a difference between BIS and BES that I never heard before. I'm one person, no business network, will be so much it made the difference, if this phone is BES? I think it is that there is an option for "Enterprise activation" under advanced system settings. I could not activate something there. But all phones have this option or just ones BES? How can you tell the difference and it will make a difference for me?

The phone you bought has been activated the BES (BlackBerry Enterprise Server).  Unless you run a business from a company server, your phone will not work as it currently programmed to work.  What you have to do is to remove the policy from BES and get signed with BIS (BlackBerry Internet Service) with a carrier of your choice.

You can remove the BES policy by reading this article:

    www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB14202

(You'll use the method number 3 in this article.)

I hope that I helped you.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Desktop Manager 4.7 (for storm) does not connect to Lotus Notes

I have a 8130 for awhile and it works very well using DM 4.2 SP2. I had the storm on Friday and tried to be updated since then. Here's what I tried in order.

After I had the storm I have...

4.2.2 removed off of my computer. 4.7 installed. Storm connected.

Result = DM will not let put me in my notes by default connection profile box in the "instead of" in the "Lotus Notes Login" dialoge box at startup.

4.7 deleted. The clean uninstall procedure with some registry changes noticed on the site Web of Blackberry. DM 4.2 RELOADED. 8130 reconnected. Connected to the Notes. Do you have a synchronization. 8130 disconnected. Installed DM 4.7. 8130 connected.

' Result = could not specify profile fitting of Notes in the box "instead of" in the Lotus Notes Login ' box of dialoge on starting DM.

After some trial and error, I am able to get all instances of DM uninstalled and allowed out of my registry. Then load 4.2 DM and get my 8130 to work. I am able to install 4.7 itself or on top of 4.2 but the result is always the same. DM is not able to connect with Lotus Notes.

Someone has seen something like this before? Someone at - it suggestions of things to try? I'm going out of my mind here trying to get this thing to run.

    Thanks in advance.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones BBM drains the battery without the use of telephone (proof)

(I have a PRIV BB running the latest update of Marshmallow).

    BBM drains the battery.

I took my PRIV off lunch charger yesterday and weather scheduled 7: 00 the next day morning, that the battery has been completely drained by BBM.

NOTE IMPORTANT: I did not receive all the BBM messages during this time - sent no BBM messages during this time - didn't even open BBM Meanwhile - didn't even use my phone during this time (I just left it autour sitting in the living room)

Function checking the battery charge shows that in this period, BBM consumed 40% of my battery (the order of the day closer to you that consumed power was Android OS, but only 8%)

Here are a few screenshots of the evidence (I've included the statistics pages for following little applications on the list for comparison):

Fortunately the 4.5 is not a rumor.  I downloaded it a few days there is "http://click2down.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=203&Item...". "and it's successfully on my 8320.  It is a great improvement to the old boring operating system.  He still has a way to go allow BlackBerry compete evenly with other smartphones, but it's a good start. It can support the card 8 GB, unlike the 4.2 which has a 4 GB max.

  • BlackBerry smartphones is possible "OS Installation without specific service provider.

    Guys,

Is it possible to reload the Blackberry OS without specifying the service provider and the location of where the device would be used and, if possible.

    Please send your contribution/guide/support.

    Thanks in advance.

You can charge a BlackBerry phone with an operating system of any company in the world.  You choose the carrier then choose which version of the operating system you want.  However, in order to proceed, you must provide a name and an address.  According to legal practice, I'll suggest that provide you specific details when you complete the form, but as you well know, we're not here to watch you when you fill out.

So to answer your question, you need to specify a carrier but it doesn't have to be yours and location you provide must be accurate.

    I hope that helps you.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones can use any Pearl 8100 phone with any service provider?

I lost my phone and had an AT & T service. I don't want to buy a new phone, check if what is for sale on Craigslist. Not all beads for sale are for AT & T, but the 8100 Series is supposed to be for the most part, suppliers... is that correct?

If you get the unlocked device it should work on any GSM carrier. Not all MOBILE carriers now offer BlackBerry data services, but you should at least be able to use it for calls and text messages.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Push email/electronic control without BIS?

    Hey

Is it possible to use push email (or use the built-in email client) without a BIS data plan?

Long story short - the only carrier that I can has plans of standard data for phones, but no BB data plans.

I was wondering if I get a "BOLD", if I can still use my email (which is what I need for more than the net), or if it will be a paperweight.

    Someone use push email?

    Thank you

    Med

There are a few ways to use the features of the BB without the BB data plan, but most of them does not give you a good experience of the phone.

You can use Tiggitmail that downloads IMAP/POP without BB data plan.

Also the GMail Mobile client can be used without a mobile BB plan.

Regarding the navigation - when under Wifi coverage, you can use the browser integrated into the BB Hotspot, and where you have UMTS/HSDPA coverage only, you can use Opera Mini.
