BlackBerry smartphones [! call failure]-cannot make or receive calls/texts incoming/outgoing but internet/email still works fine?

I just bought a replacement bb bold 9000 off ebay (it's an at & t unlocked handset I bought after my bb bold got stolen... total disappointment) and it was working fine all week until last night when he stopped being able to manage incoming and outgoing calls and texts. E-mail and internet functions still work that is very special.

also, some more info, when I put my sim card into another handset (in this case a nokia e65) all my work of normal calling features and when I put a different SIM in the "BOLD" the same thing happens (when I try to make a call, it instantly opens with a warning of the call). Another thing is that the "BOLD" indicates full service coverage...

currently the "BOLD" on the fairs...

v4.6.0.304 (Platform 4.0.0.247)

Note: im on the Australia and for some reason, I can't update the os v5

Here, any help would be greatly appreciated, and I would be happy to provide any information to anyone who is willing to help.

apparently v5.0 is still not available on my carrier / in my country (aus)) and yet its does not work...

any advice would be so greatly appreciated!

There you go. This is the reason.

For the missed show called, I don't know. The unit was unlocked when you bought on eBay?

My first suggestion would be do not have the feature of your problem. Return it and get your money back.

  • BlackBerry Z10 URGENT: Please help... Cannot make or receive calls on Z10

    Hello

I bought a Z10 a month ago. Updated as soon as the 10.2 was officially available and it worked perfectly. Tonight, however, I was on a call and suddenly the audio went. I tried to disconnect the call but it was not disconnect despite several attempts until I gave up and you press the power button to restart. Since I restarted, I can't make or receive calls. I'm trying to dial a number every time it shows immediately call ends. Also, I can not receive calls. I have the complete network and can do everything including surfing the web, sent text messages and BBM. What seems to be the problem? Please help because it's a little urgent

When powered on press and hold the power button for 10 seconds, this resets the phone.

You can also remove the battery for a minute, if the above does not work.

This does not sound like a network problem, to have that full signal does not mean that you will be able to connect if the network traffic is high or you are being faced with a different tower. Call your provider if the problem persists.

Hello and welcome to the community!

I recommend that you try to start safe mode:

    • KB17877 How to start a smartphone BlackBerry in Mode safe

It will take several attempts to get the combination of keys ESC (press/release/hold) OK, so be patient. When properly in Safe Mode, see what happens.

If the behavior continues, then well... think what happened just before this behavior started? A new application? An update? A theme? Something else? Think carefully that the slightest change can be causal... and try to undo all that was.

But if the behavior continues mode without failure, you may need to consider more drastic measures - WIPE, OS Reload, BBSAK Wipe/Reload and the process of reloading OS 'skeleton '. To prepare, you should be sure that you have a full backup of your PC... Please see the Backup link in my sig auto on this post for instructions.

You may also use these tips:

Of course, if the problem is something physical (for example, a key is stuck, something broken inside, etc.), then no amount of diagnosis distance internet or 'Patches' level OS/software will be of no use.

  • Cannot make or receive phone calls after the upgrade to iOS 9.2

Last night, I could make and receive phone calls. This morning I upgraded to iOS 9.1 to 9.2, and now I can't make or receive calls.

Any call I make - other iPhones, to landlines, whether on my list of Favorites or not - says 'call X... '. "(where X is the name of the contact - X is omitted if I don't dial a contact). After a few seconds, the phone says "Call ended." and I get three quick tones.

When they call me, it goes to voicemail once they hear 1 or 2 rings. I don't hear anything. The call does not appear in the 'recent' folder, but I received a voice message.

I don't have to "do not disturb" lit.

My iPhone is a 4 s, which can be a key because my wife has a 5. She has just upgraded and has no problem with calls. We are both on the Sprint network, using 'Ting' which is a dealer - so our actual provider's Ting. My phone says "Version 9.2 (13 c 75)", carrier "Sprint 23.0" and model MD377LL/A."

I turned the phone on and off several times, and also to do a reset (now hold both power and home until the apple logo appears). neither helped. I double-clicked the original key and removed the phone application and all other applications, then restarted the phone application, which also helped.

    WiFi works.

A related issue is to: IOS 9.2 update .

    OK, now it works.

I think that what I had was specific to my carrier - as well as anyone with this problem likely needs to communicate with their provider!

For Ting (Sprint), here's what I had to do:

    1. to connect to a Wi - Fi network

    2. dial # 873283 #.

    3. press the call key

    4. press "Start Service Update" and wait a minute or two.

    5. press on "Full Service Update" and wait a minute or two for the phone to reconnect to the Sprint network.

    6. once the upper line shows that Sprint is connected, I could make and receive phone calls.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones my BB suddenly stopped to receive messages

When I turned on my BB tour this morning he has not received all e-mail messages. I checked and the network is enabled and working and I can receive calls. I checked my computer and I have no unread emails. Nobody knows what is happening... I made messages received yesterday, so my set-up of the email is correct. Thanks for any help or suggestion.

Hello and welcome to the community!

I suggest the following, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message to your BB to come...) Please wait for this before moving on to the next step):

    (1) registry HRT

    • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network

    (2) remove and return Service directories

    • KB05000 Remove the maintenance book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account in the BlackBerry smartphone
    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service

    (3) restart to take batt

    • Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

I hope that will move things again for you! If not, then you should try remove and re-add your BIS lines for these accounts.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Call log format questions

    Hello

A week ago I have upgraded to the Curve 8900 of the BB 8700. I immediately fell in love with the new features and the presentation of the new phone. I just use the software provided with the 8900 to transfer all the data from the 8700, and I was disappointed to see that when I access the call log, I get them in a simple list which is no longer shows if the call was incoming or outgoing, and it doesn't provide any time. I scrolled all the menus, and it's really starting to frustrate the hell out of me.

If one is familiar with this, or has an idea for a possible solution I would really appreciate it.

Hi Sam and welcome to the forums!

You should be able to see the time that you receive or make calls and if she was missed, incoming or outgoing (icons on the left side).

Make sure you have your options set call log to 'call log' in the General options. Getting here press send, then press menu and select options. Now select"General options".» Find 'Phone list view' and select call log.

This should help you in what you are looking for.

Hi and welcome to the forums!

No data will be lost when you do the following: remove the battery while the device is activated.

Remplacer replace after one minute, let the device reboot 1-3 minutes, see if the problem is corrected.

  • BlackBerry smartphone app world icon makes me crazy

I have an icon to download it from app world of BB. I did the download and it's still there. I can't go I tried everything I can think of other then put my phone back to factory settings and I don't want to do that. Someone help me please...

And you have checked your main messages folder to ensure that there not read messages here, right?  If you hid your main messages file, you will need to show it again to access.

Here is a good thread discussing this and the various ways around it:

    http://supportforums.BlackBerry.com/Rim/Board/message?board.ID=appworld&message.ID=2984&query.ID=116...

If you can still get it to work after trying the solutions shown in the link above, then that is what I would say.  Back up data from your phone by using the BlackBerry Desktop Manager.  You can wipe your phone by going to Options > Security Options > General settings and then press the BB Menu button and select wipe Handheld.  This process will take about 10 minutes if my memory serves.  Once your phone is back running, restore your backup file use the BlackBerry Desktop Manager.  You will have all your applications redownload again, but this is the best bet.  Note This will not work until you have disabled the unread messages in your main folder.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones is a carrier load to receive message notifications?

Are there fees to receive message notifications?

When I receive a new instant message or new email to my personal email account, updates from facebook, I also receive notifications of message that goes into the message folder. Are there fees to receive these notifications of carrier? Are these considered text messages?  I don't have unlimited texting for now. Thank you

    jmseva wrote:
FYI: I sent an email, IM and facebook messages to my wife and all the notificatains were in the messages folder not the sms/mms folder.

Good, so that is settled, your are certainly messages, not messages text SMS!

    jmseva wrote:

The question is, are there fees for notifications/emails I receive in main mail? Or are these messages covered by my data plan? I thank.

Hard to say, unless I missed it, you have not explained

    1. who is your provider

    2. what data plan you have (data plan, unlimited limited or capped, internet only plan with no e-mail).

This will help to answer, but better yet, you'd be better off getting this information from your business, if you are interested in the costs of "carrier".

But if you reply to the above, I bet we can help you to determine if or not you carrier charges.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones caller ID not working not

I bought one unlocked Telus Storm 2 9550.
Currently using this phone on the Rogers network.
Phone works fine, but the caller ID does not work completely. If someone calls me on Earth the caller id works fine line and name appears as in my contacts list. If someone calls me on a cell phone I get unknown number. I tried to call Rogers and they were not much help.
Also, I tried to pull the battery and tried to change the encryption or smart dial settings.
I am at a loss, and any help would be great, because it is a phone.

    Thank you

I solved the problem of identification of the appellant.
I contacted Rogers and told them to turn off the display of the name and just keep the display without name display.
    All works now.
