BlackBerry Smartphones camera won't zoom in on Pearl 8220?

I can't get my camera to zoom in.  When I go in the menu while in camera mod there is no zoom function.  I use the ball, but nothing happens.  I used all the other buttons that are alternatives still nothing.  What camera function shows only one more sign.  It worked until today.  Any ideas?

Hello and welcome on the Blackberry Forum

Reset the device, take out the battery (with the device on) for 30 seconds and reinstall again, try the zoom and let me know.

The camera feature does not zoom in or out when the trackball is moving upwards or downwards. He worked initially, but it doesn't now. Is there a solution to this, or do I have to take my 8330 to the dealer?

    Thank you

A simple battery pull solves most of the problems of camera. Remove the battery with the phone on and leave it for 30 seconds. Replace the battery and allow the phone for 1-3 minutes to restart the phone. Then try the zoom feature and please let us know if this solves your problem.

  • BlackBerry Smartphone camera has stopped "zoom." Why?

This is my first BlackBerry and my first post on the forums here.

Must say that the phone itself is by far the best that I got, was a Nokiaphile of years and won't come back if it's how beautiful life can be!

Problem is I can't zoom while taking a photo more, is the only fault with my BlackBerry so far. Used to be, but not now. More weird.

    Any ideas people?

    Congratulations to all.

With the BlackBerry device powered time, remove battery for a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to restart.

    Try again the zoom.

  • BlackBerry Smartphone camera Zoom

I'm having some trouble with the camera on my curve.  It won't zoom, with the trackball or volume keys.  Not sure what the problem is.  I used the zoom earlier, but now it doesn't seem to work at all.  I would be grateful all possible solutions...

Try a 30 second battery pull.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones phone won't boot to the top

I downloaded a few applications to Blackberry World on my night of phone. One was booster. When I tried to open it I got an error message saying something about Java, and after failed attempts to open it, I deleted it. The other was AP Reader. I just tried to open it for the first time this morning. When I clicked on it, the phone started to reboot. He took an unusually long time to restart, then I put down and came back some time later. When I picked up, he seemed to be in the off position. I tried to turn it back on but nothing happened. So I took the battery out and put back. The fire came, stayed on a minute or two, but instead of booting, the phone is off again. I tried to remove the SIM card as well as the battery and then replace both, but he got the same results. I can't even reset the phone to default settings because I can't seem to start. Help! What can I do?

Sometimes you gotta try some variations... If you have tried only twice, you did not probably not enough variations. I remember a device where I had to wait for the touchscreen to become active, hold down the ESCAPE key for about 50% of the loading bar, release, then press and hold again close to 80% to 90%. A strange sequence, but it worked for me.

If you don't want to keep trying, your only recourse will be more drastic... I hope you have a good backup, as it is unlikely that you will be able to get one now.

You can also study the use of BBSAK (bbsak.org) to perform the wipe what he is capable.

Good luck and let us know!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones copy contacts from Nokia 6500 to bb 8220 pearl flip

I need to move/copy contacts from my Nokia 6500 to bb 8220 pearl, I already downloaded the bb desktop software... ideas pls?

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

RIM provides a device switch Wizard to migrate from another SmartPhone to a BB... but only for compatible devices. See this KB:

    • KB05459 How to use the switch device Wizard to switch to another smartphone to a BlackBerry smartphone

If your old phone is not compatible with the wizard, then RIM more offers the possibility to import ASCII and CSV files. See this KB:

    • KB04312 Create and synchronize with an ASCII export file
KB11194 How to import contacts from a CSV file to the BlackBerry
    • Sorry, but RIM does no research on how to get your data from your old device and in ASCII format or CSV... it is a function of your old device.

In addition, you could (I think should) use a desktop PIM for your data (and you should, IMO). You must choose a compatible PIM of this KB. Then download your data from your old device and the PIM Office. Next, configure the BB to sync with the PIM:

    • KB17022 How to configure applications to Organizer for synchronization using BlackBerry Desktop Manager

Good luck and let us know!

  • The 8520 blackBerry Smartphones camera zoom

Hey all my camera zoom is now does not work while he was before

Perform a simple reboot on the BlackBerry this way: with smart BlackBerry poweredphone, remove the battery for a minute and then reinsert the battery to restart. A reboot in this way is prescirbed for most the gltiches and operating system errors, and you will lose any data on the device doing so.

Now to try the camera > zoom again.

  • BlackBerry Smartphone camera Zoom does not

My trackball works fine in other applications; However, he no longer controls the zoom during the

camera function is launched.  Is there some solution or locked key to bring the ability to zoom?

    Thank you!!

In general, a soft reset will solve this problem. Remove the battery from the device (while it's still on) for 10 seconds, then insert it again. That should fix it.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones camera zoom feature

The zoom on my camera function no longer works.  What arrangement would do that?

Maybe just a small software problem. Try to reset the device by removing the battery for 30 seconds and replace it. The unit restarts in 1 to 3 minutes. Then try to use the zoom on the camera.

  • BlackBerry Smartphone camera Zoom has stopped working - trackball does nothing. Very strange loophole.

I just take a photo using my Curve 8900 still shot camera feature.

Normally moving the trackball to 12 o clock position zoomed out a bit

and he moving to position 6 oclock zooms back to 01:00 x

But today, I noticed that it works at all.   The trackball works perfectly for scrolling up and down in menu lists.

Also, it works correctly in all directions when you zoom an existing photo.

It's just that the zoom feature when aiming a shot to take the picture just stopped working.

What it is on the resolution makes no difference.  I have mine Superfine value and 2048 x 1536 pixels and Flash and the White Balance both the Automatic value.   I can not even a replacement for zoom as Z touch which is not bringing the function.

Can stop working in the camera, trackball but work in other applications?

    I'm mystified by it.

Hope someone knows what is happening here.

    Plado

    Dear Plado (that's me!)

Have you tried the phone then next turn once again as in a reboot of the switch?

Yes I tried, but it made no difference.

Have OK you tried to turn off and take out the battery and do a boot cold?

No, but I'll do and see if it makes a difference!

    Doing a job?

Yes he did, and the zoom is now working again and has a level of zoom of 1.0 to 2.0 in increments of. 25 x.

Well I have never! Who would have thought it?

I'm still none the wiser as to why he needed a cold start or why he's stuck without prompting me.

It's just one of those things. A kind of BLOB, with eyeballs that palpitate, just one of those things!

So thank you to all those who felt as you respond to this, the problem is solved, but I still want to know why it stopped working.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones DTEK50 won't mount SD card

I just got the DTEK50 today and try to put in place... so far its going very well. It won't add my icloud email account to the blackberry hub... so I will try to understand that one. But my real concern is that I added a 128 GB SD card to the device for more storage. The phone says its available but must be mounted. So I click "Mount" and he told me that the card is mounted. I exit settings and return back in one, he showed the East. Ideas?

  • BlackBerry Smartphones camera works does not suddenly

    Hi all

I tried to take a picture yesterday to find that when I select the camera on my phone, I have just a white screen and the camera icon is gray shaded and cannot be hired?

I always get the flash and geo tagging icon / scene mode icons and I am able to use them simply not capture icon.

I had a range of different messages arrived saying that another application is using the camera etc and when I select video camera I get the message "the camera is use by another application, cannot start the video camera viewfinder."

I ran the self test (which was a bit pointless) and he has just confirmed that the camera was not working.

I tried to pull the battery with the phone on, but that does not solve anything.

At my phone plugged on charge last night and when I woke up this morning and turned on I checked the camera again and it seems to work!

I could take a picture and then I just got the blank screen again and were not able to make it work again since.

I have not recently added all the apps or made any changes to the phone and it seems to have happened completely at random, as I did nothing extraordinary.

I would really like to solve this problem without having to delete and re install the OS if possible but its is not in good shape.

    BlackBerry Torch 9800

    6.0 bundle 2647 (v6.0.0.600, platform 6.6.0.223)

Look forward to any help that anyone can provide.

Thanks for the tips, but for some reason any 9th / 10th (I lost count) battery pull I've done seems to have done the trick.
Left the battery for an hour and the camera has been authorized since!
Appreciate your response and good advice
