BlackBerry Smartphones Can I use the calendar to OS5 with OS6?

I recently upgraded from BB Curve 8900 (with OS 5) to a Bold 9780 (with BlackBerry 6).

Since I was about 20 clients appointment 2 hours a week, I found at the sight of the "week" of the calendar under OS 5 the best journal I used in more than 30 years! Each day for an entire week showed at least 9 hours and vacant 'niche roles' could be seen in the blink of an eye. The new calendar unfortunately shows no more than seven hours a day (sometimes as little as 5.5), and the details of any appointment obscuring part of the screen when the appointment is selected.

I am not opposed to change, but I REALLY want to go back to the old calendar. Does anyone know if this can be done with the new operating system?

Any help or pointers to workaround would be appreciated.

Thank you

You cannot use the application calendar of OS5 on your current OS6.
the only alternative is to use a third-party calendar app. You can certainly find some with a user interface you like here:

Perform a simple reboot on the BlackBerry this way: with smart BlackBerry poweredphone, remove the battery for a minute and then reinsert the battery to restart. A reboot in this manner is prescribed for most defects and errors of operating system, and you will lose any data on the device doing so.

Now, try your calendar again. If it continues to not open, please give us some useful in detail... any error message?

Have you recently updated or installed new applications?

    Whatever it is.

I am trying to use the 'form of commitment Web' to https://salesforce.services.blackberry.com/webforms/googleplay to file a feature request (improve the integration of group BBM with calendar BB on Priv). However, after completing the form, he decided that my private isn't actually a private (although it looks like a private, sounds like a private and claims to be a Priv) and I am quite incapable of agreeing the form data.

    Hello

Looks like you need someone to "look more" in BB systems to see what is happening... of course, this isn't what is available here in these forums of users. But, fortunately, all of the privileges that come with the direct support of BB:

Hmm... I don't know why your BBM contacts are suspended.

    • I would try to backup your BBM contacts on your media card (open BBM > Menu key > Options > backup locally to media card).
    • Then, to delete BBM on your device in Options > advanced > Applications (options > device > Applications)
    • Perform a simple reboot on the BlackBerry this way: with smart BlackBerry poweredphone, remove the battery for a minute and then reinsert the battery to restart.
    • Now, reinstall BBM using your Blackberry browser to www.blackberry.com/bbm
    • restore your identical to the backup above BBM contacts.
  • BlackBerry smartphones can not sync the calendar with BTYahoo

I have setup my Blackberry 9780 (running version 6) to synchronize with my BTYahoo email and contacts with success, but the calendar is not just sync.  There seems to not be any interaction between the Blackberry calendar and BTYahoo.

My service provider is O2.  O2 support said it is a known problem and I have to rebuild my Blackberry, but I hope for a less dramatic solution and one that seems specific to my problem rather than a generic answer to a problem.

Does anyone have any ideas or knowledge about it?

Hello and welcome to the community!

In fact, I'm not sure that what you desire is even possible... refer to this:

    • KB03652 By comparing the BlackBerry Internet Service and BlackBerry Enterprise Server features

Note that via BIS, calendar wireless is available only for Gmail... not Yahoo. You can check a second time inside the e-mail on the device Configuration Wizard - if you change your Yahoo settings, tic-boxes for the OTA synchronization that is available there. If only the Contacts ICT - box is visible, then calendar is not available for OTA synchronization.

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry smartphones can not sync the calendar via the office - error 0x80040ffe

Try a BlackBerry Bold 9650 on Verizon I look to migrate from PalmOS.  I don't want to sync my personal information on the job server, so am sync all databases PIM to an Outlook .pst file.  However, the calendar will not sync - I get a message that says:

"Error occurred.  "Error code: 0x80040ffe, check documentation.

Of course, this documentation does not exist.  I saw a few other people mention this error on the forums, but no clear answer.

I do not think it is a problem with the calendar itself, as the conduct of third parties for Pocket Informant allows you to synchronize calendar very well.  Thus, it seems to be a problem with the desktop computer.

Running on a machine of Windows 7 with Outlook 2010.  One solution I've seen problems with some other software is to disable UAC during installation, but do not know if it would help.

Synchronization log indicates that all of the events of 2700 + have been read, but journal ends with this:

    'Internal error.
    Cancelled translation! »

    Suggestions?

Find my own solution.  The accident produced during playback of the calendar of the device - there was previously a partial synchronization and the BB database was apparently altered.  Actually have 5000 + events on Outlook, so that a party had obtained the device before.  Deleted the BB Calendar database and synchronization of Outlook has been a success.  Problem SOLVED

  • Can I use the CD that came with my Palm Z22 to install on my new computer Windows 8 2005?

I'm upgrading from a Dell XP machine on a computer Dell Windows 8.  My old Palm Z22 driver installation CD will work to load the software into my new Windows 8 machine; or do I need to download a new software specifically for Windows 8?

After losing almost three frustrating weekends, I finally got my Z22 to synchronize with Windows 8.  You never answered my first question [can I use the CD that came with my Palm Z22 to install on my new computer Windows 8 2005?], that would have eliminated a lot of uncertainty in my many attempts to synchronize with the download of version 6.2 has recommended you.  Fortunately, I wasn't the original CD with version 4.2, because 6.2 has toured with a bit more clear instructions and a new download of http://www.palmdr.com/windows-7-64-bit-usb-drivers

Thanks for your advice in any case.

  • After upgrade blackBerry smartphones - can not use headphones! Only the speaker!

After the upgrade to the new operating system, I can't use the headset.   I hear nothing and no one can hear me speak.  When I change to speaker that works - but who wants to go through life with everyone heard your calls!

This phone is essential for businesses and I am very frustrated - thought the new upgrade, it would be better, but it made it worse.

Can someone help me please? !!!

It happened to a number of us.  It takes some futzing with it to return to normal.  You have the headphones supplied with the phone?  Headphones or, for that matter?  If so, try connecting and then doing a battery pull.  With the connected headset and the device on, remove the battery, wait a few seconds, then replace the battery and wait for the device to reboot.  Others have lived the media player and selected a song to play.  While the song is played, insert the headset, then click on the BlackBerry Menu button (the button with seven points next to the green button ' phone'), click Activate combined and see what happens.  You will have to perhaps to plug and unplug the helmet a few times to 'train' the phone again.  Finally got mine back to normal and it worked fine since.  Seems you just need a "jump start" with the activation of the handset to the headset.

    I hope this helps!

Hello and welcome to the community!

Since little information, we unfortunately have to make assumptions... the content accurate and full of error messages is always more useful than a short short description.

So here's my proposal? Is there a COMPUTER policy on your device?

    • Article ID: KB30076 How to check for an it on a BlackBerry smartphone policy

Is there and you're on BES, then stop now and go talk to your BES admins... they control everything.

If there is and you are not on BES, then you need to clean your unit of the it policy:

    • Article ID: KB31291 How to reset a BlackBerry smartphone to factory using BlackBerry Desktop Software Settings

Be very attentive to provided warnings, particularly the fact that your device will be wiped clean in the process. You can find adequate instructions to backup via the link in my sig auto on this post. But, when you restore, do not full restore... restore instead, only those databases you requested (e.g., calendar, contacts, etc.) and more precisely to avoid restore and data bases that have nothing to do with politics, COMPUTING, business, or anything similar. If you restore the databases, the it policy will be conscientiously restored to your device, and you will be right back where you started.

If there is no COMPUTER policy, contact your mobile provider for formal support.

Good luck and let us know!

  • BlackBerry smartphones can not open the downloaded applications

I have a blackberry 9360 and it's great, the only problem is that some applications don't download, same if I'll buy them and others will download but does not open "Phone Warrior will not work without the requested permissions" I accept all requested permissions, but it still does not... Can anyone help?

    Hello

If you've got reliable sources (e.g., BBWorld) apps and they are therefore particularly compatible with your device and the OS level, then it is possible that you have a policy COMPUTER on Board that is blocking them. Reference:

    • Article ID: KB30076 How to check for an it on a BlackBerry smartphone policy

If you indeed have a political TECHNOLOGY and are part of a BES and environment, then stop now and contact your BES admins for help... only they can tell you if what you're trying is against them.

If you have a COMPUTER policy and are not part of BES, then the question arises why the it policy exists on your device. In general, it's because you got 2nd hand device and the seller does not correctly clean it... refer:

    • Article ID: KB05099 Steps to take before selling or after the purchase of a used BlackBerry smartphone

But even without the seller, as long as they did everything in their section of the KB, you can always clean the device of the it policy. The process is to destroy everything, please first review the link in my sig auto on this post for a full and proper backup procedure to follow.

Once you have this full backup, to proceed with this:

    • Article ID: KB31291 How to reset a BlackBerry smartphone to factory using BlackBerry Desktop Software Settings

Thereafter, proceed to restore your applications and data, but DO NOT make a full restore... instead, only a selective restore of the databases you really need (e.g., contacts, calendar, etc.) and specifically avoid restore databases that have nothing to do with politics, COMPUTING, business , or anything similar - if restore you those, he will dutifully restore it on your device policy, and you will be right back where you started.

Good luck and let us know!
