BlackBerry Smartphones can not access Media card with BB Desktop or Media Sync 9700

The other day I received a Reburbed Bold 9700 update.

I use Ver 6 Deskstop OS and the 9700 is running device code latest version 5.

I have a Kingston 4 GB media card that I know is in place because the 9700 recognizes it and when I go to files and select the media card, I can see all the files on the card and when I take a picture it is written on the card so I know that memory is very good and he sees the 9700.

The problem I have is BB Deskstop or latest version of Media Sync to see so I can transfer files to and from my PC and the media card.

The error message that I receive on the two applications, it's that I have to turn on mass storage Mode.  When I look at my memory settings:

Compression - enabled

Map of media Support - on

Mass Storage Mode Support - on

Auto enable mass storage Mode when connected - Yes

I formatted the card successfully on the BB.

I tried another card memory (2 GB) and also properly formatted as well.

I also tried another USB cable into another USB port.

I had a BB hard reset by pulling on the battery... several times.

I had another before Blackberrys and have never had a problem of access to the media card.  I would have thought that it is easier on the 9700.

I did search endlessly on the Web and saw other people with similar problems but many were so simple that the card is not seated properly and it also had the symptom that the BB is not recognizing the media card.  My BB recognize media cards and use them, but I can't access the card through my PC.  I understand that I may not see a pendrive pop up in Windows Explorer, but I can't understand why the BB Desktop or Media Sync cannot access.

I know that both of these applications communicate to the BB cause I get requests for passwords and the desktop, I can view all my applications and I used to update the device until the last OS level during the troubleshooting process.

I just wanted to see if anyone has experience this problem and has tips, if not I will contact AT & T or go into a local store to see if they can help.  I just think I'm missing something that I can take care off instead of my own.

Thank you!

Hello

Have you tried to connect the device on another computer?  If another computer to recognize the device, it may just be a case of bad USB drivers on your computer.

Here are some KB articles that may be able to help:

KB19717 - BlackBerry smartphone is not detected as a USB mass storage device when connected to a computer

KB10312 - impossible to display the map of support using the BlackBerry smartphone

You also need to remove the USB ports on your computer (using Device Manager), and then restart the computer to reload the correct drivers.

An alternative to this is to simply use a microSD card reader which allows you to use the microSD as a flash drive.

I hope that this info is another starting point for you!

  • BlackBerry smartphones can not access email POP3 with Blackberry, but works fine in other e-mail clients

My company recently moved hosting of emails to a new dedicated server (with Lunarpages - www.lunarpages.com).

We have normal, ordinary POP3 e-mail accounts that is accessible through any regular desktop mail client (Outlook Express, Thunderbird, etc.)

I put one of these accounts successfully on my Torch 9800 last week and had no problem. Yesterday I deleted this account in order to demonstrate to a co-worker, how to add a new account, and I could not add a new account by using the same parameters since.

This isn't a problem of carrier or to a particular device (tried on several media and several BB devices, all without success), but it's a specific problem Blackberry. It is limited to my dedicated server as well, not all servers hosted by Lunarpages.

I know I put the correct settings in the account name, e-mail server, etc, because this worked on my flashlight and the same settings continue to work correctly with other phones and email clients.

I suspect that there is some kind of disagreement between my server and BIS. Can anyone suggest what the problem could be here still, or even who I should talk to? My service provider is unable to help because it is not specific to them and my Lunarpages server provider is completely baffled. Please, any suggestions are welcome!

    Problem solved.

If someone needs to know, http://btsc.webapps.blackberry.com/btsc/search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=kc&externalId=KB11036 describes the IP addresses that must be unlocked in order for the BIS interact with a mail server.

However, DO NOT included on this list has been 74.82.80.0/24, another server RIM, I discovered this morning had been blocked by my server. This list has been updated end of 2011, so I guess they changed things since then. Anyway, once I unlocked which will, everything works now.

  • BlackBerry smartphones can not access address book after software update

I'm unable to access the address book by default after doing the update - I have restored my backup and it's all there, with the exception of my contacts.  When I open my address book it is labeled personal and there are no address and when I add a contact, it is not displayed, but I noticed that when I go in the options, it shows only default under 99 entries with address books and when I try to add a contact, it does not show in the list on my phone but the number of entries in the book of failure goes up so they go in that one but I don't can not access?  No idea how I can get back my contact list? (hope that makes sense for a person )

  • BlackBerry smartphones can not access web or send/receive email

I was not able to receive or send by e-mail all day today.  Also, I can not access the Internet.  Leaving everything expires and nothing happens.  The phone works.  I saw a message indicating that there is no sufficient network coverage for access.  I tried to send e-mail and access the Internet when I got a full bar compliment.

  • BlackBerry smartphones can not access e-mail, internet or BBM

Hi, I think I have a problem similar to the previous posters... my mother gave me her blackberry tour when it improved and I had unlocked it (from a cell in Sasktachewan provider) so that I can use it for my move to Dubai.  In Canada, I was able to use the voice, SMS, email access and BBM... through FIDO.  I couldn't see any internet icon so I hadn't any data plan.   He paid for everything.

I had a working VISIT before and was able to access the voice, SMS, internet, BBM... that's the difference between enterprise blackberry (which I suppose is available only for companies) vs the Blackberry Services (Email or social networks) for personal use?

When I moved to Dubai, I pulled the FIDO sim card and got a (Yes... sim card "du").  Then, I paid for and activated my blackberry services (email / BBM) However, when I tried to configure my email account, I got an error "your device had a problem connecting to the server.  I tried pulling out the battery, to register using the Advanced Option, host of routing, register online at du.blackberry.com and when I try to register there, I get the message that says that my device cannot be registered and to try to register through the advanced options and if it does not contact my wireless provider.

A technical support person come back to me and said that my blackberry service is related to my previous provider wireless (FIDO) and I had to call FIDO to get the PIN out.  I did this and FIDO said that he has been released.

I tried to repeat the previous steps for registration / establishment of email and I still get the same errors.

Initially when I got the sim card, they have enabled a social account of blackberry for me and it wasn't what I wanted so they it disabled.  I wonder if somehow my camera is actually saved with, but in terms of bad... so that's why I can't access email / bbm service.

Thoughts?  I'm kind again on the whole cell phone thing and not a techie so please be explicit.

    Thank you!

It is perhaps a silly question... and not to diminish the value of the forum... but is there a number to blackberry people can call?  It would be really nice to talk to someone who knows the phone knows what could be the problem (it took two weeks to tell me that I had to call my other provider wireless to the Canada to release the phone from FIDO blackberry service)

    Cindy

You can, but with a fresh incident support of approximately $49US by.

Otherwise, your mobile operator with which service you should intensify your call to support technical level RIM.

The 9630 is not okay to operate on, without some configuration real depth and even then it may not work well. You will need to follow the directions in the initial post of this thread linked below, and instead of Tmobile or ATT, you're going to need service books for the.  It's not easy.

My best advice... because I've done this before... is to get a non-CDMA device that works perfectly on, as a model 9700 or 9780 or 9900. Not the 9630, 9650 models.

  • 'Bad Request' blackBerry smartphones can not access Hotmail via browser

    Hello

I can't access hotmail via my Blackberry Curve browser... after the login screen. I get a blank screen with the mention 'bad Request' in the upper left corner.

can anyone suggest how can I fix?

    Thank you

    It is not you.

There has been changes. I don't really understand, but I have the same trouble of mobile platforms (passport and PlayBook).

Best I can suggest is play and find a method that works. For example, go to Bing.com and select Outlook. Connect to Microsoft and access email from here or try. Search the Hotmail from a search engine and look for a link of connection and try that.

If you find something that works, remember. I know I did, but I forget and understand each time.

  • BlackBerry smartphones can not access Blackberry ID account - error message on username

When I try to log in to update my email accounts, I get a message saying "username entered is invalid. My service provider cannot help me with this; they want to eliminate gradually the Blackberry phones have no technicians trained to provide support. Help please - I can't access my email from my Style!

    Hey nana-chan.

To connect to your e-mail configuration application, you have the same login information that you would use to connect to the website of your provider wireless BlackBerry Internet Service from a computer. Since you are using BlackBerry Device Software 6.0, it is separated from your BlackBerry ID. If you do not know your account details, I suggest to contact your service provider for this information again.

These KB articles should provide more information. "How to configure an email address to the BlackBerry Internet Service for the BlackBerry smart phone" http://blackberry.com/btsc/KB15499 and "Unable to connect to a BlackBerry Internet Service account" http://blackberry.com/btsc/KB11261

  • BlackBerry smartphones can not access my emails

    Hello

I had my BlackBerry for centuries, but today, this is the first time that I had this problem, I don't know if I re - defining something by accident.

Basically, I can't access my mails - the sign of star/asterisk appears in the menu to show that new messages have come (and I know that they have because I can see them on my laptop) but when I click on all email icons (the 'Messages' a general or two separate email accounts I have) they just take me to the text rather than messages messages.

    Help!

    Thank you

Chris, perform a simple reboot on the BlackBerry this way: with smart BlackBerry poweredphone, remove the battery for a minute and then reinsert the battery to restart. A reboot in this manner is prescribed for most defects and errors of operating system, and you will lose any data on the device doing so.

  • BlackBerry smartphones can not set up synchronization with Outlook

I just installed the latest BB Desktop Manager (4.7.0.32) but I can not configure it to synchronize with Outlook 2003. When I configure synchronization options (for example, calendar), I can select, select MS Outlook, select 2-way synchronization, select (the only user profile: Outlook), get the window "Congratulated and finally a message that translates by (in Dutch):"Cannot find the file of the table system".» And then, he returned to the window selection for apps (calendar-block-notes, etc.).

I have the BB 8300 Curve, BB 4.5 software (on handheld)

I found this solution that also works for DM 4.7:

    Cause

The error occurred after the release of BlackBerry Desktop Manager 4.2.2 to version 4.3. The upgrade could not remove the connectors folder in C:\Program Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Connectors. Thus, old office applications of Microsoft Outlook are saved with BlackBerry Desktop Manager 4.3.

    Resolution

If the connectors folder is always present in C\Program Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Connectors\MS Outlook Connector, follow these steps:

Unregister the old ilxolkCompanion.fil of Microsoft Outlook Connector.
    1. open the prompt (run-> cmd.exe).
    2. navigate to C:\Program search in Motion\BlackBerry\Connectors\MS Outlook Connector.
    3 type the command regsvr32 u ilxolkCompanion.fil.
    4. in the Desktop Manager, Microsoft Outlook is no longer appears as an available desktop application.
Save the latest Microsoft Outlook Connector.
    1. navigate to C:\Program search Motion\BlackBerry\IS71 Connectors\MS Outlook Connector.
    2. Enter the command regsvr32 msoutlookconnector.fil.
    3. in the Office Manager, Microsoft Outlook will now registered as an available desktop application.

Once these steps have been completed, configure synchronization again.

  • BlackBerry smartphones can not access a website

    Hi all

I'm with Rogers at the Canada and I have a BB Bold, and unfortunately I can not just to access one web site, I need to log on every day! (I bought a BB especially because I work out of the office, and I need a wireless access to the database of my clients). All websites are ok, I can browse any site, but my website database does not all data, except a white screen and the title page in the upper left corner of the screen.

I bought that BB for me and for my colleague and with his IPhone IPhone, no problem at all, it can search the database with it.

Can someone tell me if I have to do a special config or it's just because the IPhone is better than BB in Internet browsing?

I have to say that I spent so much time looking through the web and also with Rogers support and no results.  No documentation on the "BOLD" BB RIM gives me advice at all.

The worst part is that Rogers won't change the BB for IPhone, so I'm stuck with him and desperately need a solution, unless BB is not for me!

Thanks for your help and your advice!

  • BlackBerry smartphones can not access the Hotspot browser on Bold 9900

I recently bought a Bold 9900. Unlike my older 8520, this phone is an option to choose between browser and browser Internet Hotspot. I followed ' options > device > advanced system settings > push browser "and there is no icon for the browser. Then I did some R & D on the net and found out that the 7.0.0.261 OS does not have this feature. Instead, it passes to the browser or Hotspot on its own depending on what kind of service you are using that is to say whether a Wi - fi or BIS. I just want to know who is this thing, OS 7.0.0.261 true or there is something wrong with my phone. And if something is wrong, what can I do about it? Pease reply someone...!

    What you read is true.

New phones BlackBerry will choose the browser type for you on how you can access the database.
