BlackBerry Smartphones can not create a BIS account - cause the PIN is already in use...

About 1 year ago, I bought a blackberry curve 8320 on ebay in Germany. Now, I wanted to register with the BIS (at Vodafone in Germay) he tells me that the phone (PIN) is already registered with the BIS. I tried to use the 'send password' link with my PIN code, but it didn't work out (the website says the password is sent successfully, but it does not reach my cell phone). Aftre I asked customer support for VOdafone and they said that the phone is not registered with Vodafone.

Is there a chance to delete or change the old account on my PIN code? While I can sign up and get my own BIS?

Call Vodafone and ask for help from the RIM. They can release the account (now that they may or may not, but that's another issue). Anyone else still essentially have this class as their PIN on their account. Its going to take some doing, but you can achieve.

    It seems that they (Vodafone) already created the account and credentials for you. Their ring to the top to see what are the credentials.

    The error is Impossible to create the account: BlackBerry (r) this device is not registered with your wireless service provider. If please register for this device and check that the URL of the current web site is provided by your wireless service provider.

    The problem is my device is not yet registered with any carrier and it is also did not register on Verizon.

    Really need to inform about it.

    Hi, I'm new here (and Blackberry) and need help.

    I got a used Blackberry 8330 curve and can not create a new e-mail account.  This is the message I get:

    'An account already exists for this Blackberry device.  Please login or contact your wireless service provider. »

    If I scroll down and press ok, it asks the PIN/EIN number, which I have input.  Received the same message.

    How can I clear it so I can add the email?  The main purpose to get the BB was to use it to access my work email...

    Thank you, thank you!  I used your links, called Verizon and cleaned it up!  I have now all accounts added (including my work) that I wanted, and we have updated my software as well.  Everything works as it should. (I no longer do not get the 'other guys' messages as well!).

  • BlackBerry smartphones can not verify my blacberry id - enter the username associated with this phone - ARGH!

    I just got my blackberry a few days ago and it makes me nuts trying to get this set up. I'm pretty tech savy, but not when it comes to this phone.

    I created an account via blackberry, but then I could not for the life of me remember the password I put on it. So, which became a nightmare and I ended up deleting this account and set up a new through the computer.

    Now, every time I try and connect to this, as the app world to try to put things in place and not - I get the error message "enter the username associated with this smartphone.

    So I enter the new name of user and password I put in place and it works so of course I tried to get all blackberry programs set up on my computer and connect the phone to my computer - but my house is a deadband for cells - so I can't do set up because I can not access my "data plan" in my house.

    I recorded my phone, I have taken the battery all that fun stuff - but it's still not working! That makes me BONKERS - I can not set up email, bbm anything because I can't access my account - ARGH! I really hope that someone can help you.

    I found a solution... I read this post ( KB29891 ). The cause of the problem is that some providers like bell and rogers do not allow some outgoing smtp mail servers. The work around had to use my mail server of the Web site for incoming mail and my smtp.broadband.rogers.com of rogers for my outgoing smtp server.  I also use this setting on my outlook 2010... It worked.

    Unfortunately not, as with most of the facilities of software, information must be written in some parts of the computer, such as the registry, and you can just use a USB flash drive to run your applications.

    This error is a Microsoft Windows error occurs when Windows detects code that is run from a protected location  At this point, Microsoft is your best bet for support as it is not an error of BlackBerry Desktop Manager.

    For the last 10 days I tried to create my ID Blackberry App World, but I still get the message: the password you entered does not respect the requirements of the length or character. Please enter a password that has a minimum of 6 characters. I tried to save it on my PC and through my bb, tried two different e-mail addresses, various pseudonyms and multiple different passwords (all with more than 6 but less than 16 characters, only letters or letters and numbers) - nothing works.     OK, I finally created an account and see the stupid thing I kept doing was the passsword identical to the password recovery answer... once I made them different tada!

    When I'm in my contacts, I don't have an option in the BB menu to create a new contact? I know others who do not have this option.  I add contacts from time to time and need this option.  How can I fix?

    Thank you ricshome.  That's exactly what I did and there is no option for the new contact.  I scrolled the options several times.  I am an advanced user account I am a technician in the field COMPUTER (don't not bragging just stating that I am not a beginner).  I have rebboted the device and still no change.  Any other suggestions out there?

    Try going to Options > Advanced > host Routing Table > Menu > register.

    With the BlackBerry device powered time, remove battery for a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to restart.

    Time ago I ve used to have only 1 mail account on my blackberry, a Gmail ([email protected]) and google sync (http://m.google.com/sync) allowing to synchronize contacts between the smartphone and the account webmail. It worked like a charm for a long time. At that time, I could create and edit contacts and changes got synchronized in both sites.

    A month ago I decided to create an e-mail address with my own internet domain name ([email protected]) through Google Apps, and decided to add this e-mail address to the smartphone to check both accounts. The first surprise came when I noticed that add that email address (using the procedure to add any email address) has caused the BB to activate, as mode of BES, against the gmail server.

    Suddenly, I discovered that I can't create or edit contacts in BB, but I can't get into the google apps email webmail interface. The contact created using the web interface is synchronized to the BB.

    The problem is that I can't create or edit contacts in the smartphone!

    Anyone know something similar to this?
