BlackBerry Smartphones can not enter an application within the menu

first of all I must tell you that I'm French so sorry if I make mistakes!

I have Blackberry Curve 8520.

When I'm inside the menu with all the icons, I can't get into any of them. If I push the touch pad, nothing happens.

I don't know what to do. I guess I should try to reset the unit. but I don't know how to do this, especially to this problem.

So please help me!

Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

    I just updated to Version 5, tonight and had the same problem.  I went to the BB mobile site and there is an upgrade to AppWorld available - Version 2.0.0.36 once I downloaded, installed and rebooted, the icon was back and working.  Hope that helps!

    Google has just turned off sync to google calendar for blackberry. So I did a gmail account so I can use "BIS calendar wireless sync" on gmail. However whenever I go into the configuration of email on my bb, it just times out. I click the icon and get about a second or 2 ticking clock and then nothing. This happened before when I set up my email addresses (and has been fixed by using the email my carrier's bis email account configuration, Telstra in Australia). It's just a question now, like gmail, calendar synchronization requires that I have post my bb email address in order to get the calendar wireless sync. have done a lot of battery grips. Since hours today on the phone with my ISP and have flashed the phone. have downgraded to version 6, 905 and a full wipe info. This did not help. I guess the problem is with the carrier, but they tried to 'everything' for this problem, as it has (as I said) is a problem in the past. and still the same thing. I downloaded the service books and then deleted and then downloaded them once again, having re-entered on the network a lot of times, the provider has reset my account, multiplied by neumerous. I would upgrade the 9900 things but 2, there are a lot of people complaining about reception problems and there's os 10 just around the corner.     I saw that some ppl posted the same thing. I don't know if it will work for everyone, but that's what I did.

    do not think that this part of the question, but I'll put it and others can comment on. After downloading the last Director of office of telstra (my carrier) because the previous soft ware has been downloaded from the website of vodafone.

    then I went to the list of applications on the Office Manager and found that there are 2 "Messaging Installer" programs, they have different versions. I have deleted 1 and nothing has changed. I deleted the 2nd, and nothing has changed. then wen I loked at applications he gave me the opportunity to reinstall only 1 of these e-mail of the installation files.     While there is no limit on how many contacts you can have on your device, there is a soft limit that you can have as many times as the memory of your device can handle. Check the available memory to see if you have any remaining space. If this isn't the case, then consider cleaning out / uninstallation of some things that you don't need to increase the memory available to more contacts.
