  • BlackBerry smartphones can not change password BBID

    Hello

When I turn on my Blackberry, I can't do anything without first signing in my BBID. The problem is that I forgot my password. When I click on 'forgot password', I get error message saying "unable to update Blackberry ID account information while offline. I changed my password on the computer, but my device does not recognize it, probably because it is offline, but there is no way I can go online without signature first.

Does anyone know of a way I can fix this without resorting to wipe my phone?

    Thanks in advance!

  • BlackBerry smartphones can not disable password on my 9320 curve smartphone

    Hello

To protect my phone against unauthorised access, I activated the password on my 9320 curve, so that it hangs after 5 minutes. It works well so far.

Today, I tried to sync my data with my PC via the BB desktop software. Now, this desktop application asks for the password, but does not accept the password that I entered into my phone.

I tried to disable the password protection by clearing the checkbox 'Activate' on the phone, but I can't do that (I can't click the "Enable" box, it remains checked with a lock symbol). I can change the password, but the BB desktop on my pc application does not accept the new password.

Any idea anyone? Help would be much appreciated!

    Best regards

Hello and welcome to the community!

I think you have two distinct problems...

Desktop software rejecting your password entry.

The password requested by Desktop software and the password you assigned to lock your BB are indeed the same password. But what I suspect is that you have a mix of different characters in your device password and you may not notice how you enter on the keyboard of the BB. For example, if your password

    • AB123

    and if you enter

    • a > b > ALT > 1 > 2 > 3

    the result will be

    • ab1er

    You must enter

    • a > b > ALT > 1 > ALT > 2 > ALT > 3

in order to close with ab123. Thus, in this example, while on the BB keyboard, you think you type ab123, you actually type ab1er.

On your BB, when you type your password, you should get a moment where each character is indicated in clear before it turns into a *. Watch carefully next time and you will see a surprising result. It will be the exact characters that you type on the keyboard of your PC, because it is in fact your password.

Lock symbol on the device password, cannot clearly 'enable' setting.

There are generally two reasons that the locking device password becomes necessary (this is what means small lock symbol).

    (1) you are part of BES or have IT on board strategy that forces the requirement. Given what you describe on when you created the password, I doubt that this is the case, but... If that were the case, you would never have a choice... the first time you used your device, you would have had to create a device lock password. If, by any chance, you are part of BES, then go see your BES admins regarding if they force this situation.

    (2) you have, after activation of the device lock password, activate encryption or the Protection of the content on your device. Once you activate those, they require the device lock password to operate. For example, you can't delete the device lock password until you have first removed encryption or Protection of the contents of your device.

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry smartphones can not remove 1 remaining phone journal - Call Log NOT updated entry

Hello. I have a Bold 9000. My phone call log is is more updated. I have 1 old handwriting on the paper that I can't remove.

I tried to spend too many Messages, display folder, phone call logs, but it comes back with "Eception exception: java.lang.NullPointerException." I get the same message at boot to reset (drums),

Option / status / watch 50 MB of free file is not a memory problem.

It's very frustrating. If I can't sort out is there no way to uninstall & reinstall the software on the BB?

    Thanks, Altaf

    Hello.

I'm sorry I failed you early especially after taking the time to provide me with a solution.

First of all, I did what you asked and managed to clear the logs of the phone call (by selecting this line under databases) of advanced DTM. I was not sure if you meant that (historical clear calls) when you said "Click on the database on the RHS and click the Clear button" or that you wanted to say more.

I had to make 2 passes through it. The 1st time, it says that there are 20 entries in the log (I saw that one on my phone). After the clearer, I went back to my phone and the entrance was still there but a DTM Advanced phone log said there were 17 entries now. Then, I deleted the newspaper again and this time it was the desired effect!

I also removed the battery with the unit on. The message "Eception Java lang... "disappeared now.

I thank very you much for helping me.

From the moment wherever they gave me a BB "BOLD" of my company, I realized how good it was. It is simple and intuitive in use and much faster and without fault compared to many other PDA/Smartphones I've used. I liked it so much, I bought one for me!

    Best wishes

    Altaf

How are you trying to delete a message that you can't find? I don't understand this.

Tips to clear the message unread... try them in the order.

If you have a new icon rogue Message on your home screen, or a negative number (-1), one of these solutions could erase or reset:

    Try these options:
    * Hard Reset BlackBerry now ALT CAP (right Shift key) and DEL (or with the BlackBerry power, remove the battery and reinsert the battery)
    Messages > saved Messages
Messages > view folders, check each folder (calls, SMS and MMS, and boxes, saved missed boxes, browser, phone logs etc.)
    * Scroll at the top of the folder, on the title menu, click or tap to MARK PRIOR OPEN date
Change your theme and see if it persists and return to your desired theme. (Options > theme > select.)
    * Clean and reload your OS.

  • Screen unlock blackBerry Smartphones can not your password

I have a problem with my 8520 son

When you press the up button or trackball, does not appear the password screen to unlock the phone. I tried:

The soft reset, the soft reset double

Take the battery, leaving for a bit, then put it in.

Plug into the computer, accurate results in the phone being glued connection.

I can't access the phone so I can do a factory reset, unless there is a way to do with going into the menus of the phone.

I don't know if the problem is related to a live wallpaper tropical fish that he downloaded from the blackberry store, before the problem occurred, any ideas how to get rid of?

do a battery pull.  When the red light goes on the front of the phone, press and hold the back

button all the time while the phone is in boot.  When initialization is complete, the phone goes into safe mode.

in safe mode, remove this theme and make an another battery pull.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones can not remove two emails - HELP

I have a TOUR 9630 for about a year and was able to remove e-mail messages without problem... with the exception of two who will not erase!

I tried everything and I can't delete these two messages for some reason any... I tried to remove it from my laptop correctly, but they still appear on my 9630... can someone help me get rid of these two boring emails that just sit on my blackberry... look at me...

    Thank you

Hmm.... are they emails otherwise quite normal?
When you tap on Delete on one of them, what is happening... it asks you to confirm the deletion on the handheld or the server?

Did you restart the BlackBerry to see if that removes them?

  • BlackBerry smartphones can not remove app FB of Blackberry HUB! New Z10

I have the new Bberyy Z10.

I don't want the FB app in my Blackberry hub, actually, I want that he removed completely from my phone. I manually deleted the application from the main application icon pages. Also, I went in 'Management Hub' and clicked off for Facebook in terms of updates. However updates still occur, on my main screen when my phone is locked even! Very annoying.

I'm trying to get rid completely of my phones FB app, especially of the HUB. I searched for a type of 'application manager' mode where I was able to do this in older versions of the Bberry.

    Much appreciated, thanks!

Hello and welcome to the community!

There is no app handler more... the main icon pages are rather than that, so you would place this icon until they all started to vibrate, then let go and select the trash in top/right of the FB icon, then completed the process to remove the application.

But you don't have maybe not deleted real integration account... swipe down from the top, then select settings, then accounts... If FB is in here, delete as well.

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones can not remove some message

I have a message in my Inbox with a red square with a dial on the LHS of the message. I can't delete this post for a reason, and it does not let me download some of my new messages.

    See you soon

    MalteseFalcon

Don't know what is an email RX?  You can open that message and scroll to the top then provide information listed in there, for example by using: XXX, folder: XXX, status: XXX.

Did you try to reset your handset, such as remove and reinsert the battery without turning it off.

If it's one of the corrupted message, you can summer use Desktop Manager to remove the database of the entire message.

  • BlackBerry smartphones can not remove Flickr

    v.4.6.0.247

    EntelPcs, Chile

    Hi all

I tried to remove this icon that opens the browser, but I couldn't.

It does not appear in the Options > Advanced Options > Applications not in the modules.

I have the same problem with the MySpace icon.

Presser - these two are not applications, what you see is simply shortcuts to the installer for applications. The shortcut icons are pushed to the device of your operator.

You can remove the service books that allowed these shortcut icons, but they will likely get pushed to the device. I just hide the icons... I create a folder on the "undesirable" named home screen, move the icons in this folder, and then hide this folder completely.

  • BlackBerry smartphones can not remove the icon...

About two days ago with the number '1' in front of him a little envelope icon directly at noon under the hour and the day/date, which are stacked in the center of the upper InfoBar at the top of the screen.  This envelope will appear in italics vs the indicator total number of messages in the upper left corner under the battery charge indicator.

I had seen it before and it was a kind of message from Blackberry, but I could see it in the Inbox, but now I'm not able to remove it

    All ideas

If the advice of the tanzim are unsuccessful, try this:

Open any folder for e-mail messages.  Press the BB menu button and select view folders.  This opens a list of folders in which your mystery message could be hiding.  Browse all records for the culprit.

  • BlackBerry smartphones can not remove stubborn contacts on my Blackberry

Hello - I just got a new Blackberry - converted during a Treo (Windows). I had all sorts of difficulties to get my contacts and calendar first moved on my Mac and moves in sync with the Mac issues, so now I'm using Blackberry Desktop on a PC with Outlook. My problem is that I deleted the database of addresses using the backup/restore function so that I could start with a clean address book import, and I have about 20 contacts on my pocket computer that I can't get rid of. I tried the process several times. I can highlight in the address book and select 'Delete', but your handheld will just ignore the command. I can open the contact and modify it, but when I try to save it, I get a message that says "updated to the outside address. Changes will be lost and the viewer will be closed. »

Is it possible to get rid of these addresses? I now duplicates for these addresses, because OUtlook does not recognize that they are already in my pocket.

Thanks in advance for any advice!

Only other thing I can think is to wipe the device. If you want to make a backup of your device first, go to the backup and restore | Backup copy. Then, on the device, go to Options | Security options | Settings General, hit the menu button, choose wipe Handheld. This will clear all data from the device. Later, you can return to the backup and restore | Advanced to select certain databases to restore. If you just go in the restoration, and then he would probably bring back corrupted in the AddressBook entries.
