  I'm trying to uninstall version 5.0.1 DM on my Windows 7 computer. After the usual uninstall procedure (remove programs in the control panel), I get an error saying that "this action is only valid for products that are currently installed.

  (apploader located traces of DM 5.0.1 and will not continue until DM 5.0.1 is removed...)

  Honestly, for me, it's about the only method that I don't use, because it is much cleaner and easier for me and I get more control over the upgrade process.

  First find your operator and the system operating file that you want to use.

  2. go in c:\program files Research in motion\apploader and delete the file named "vendor.xml."
  3. plug in the BB and double-click on "Loader.exe." It is located in the same place as the above vendor.xml file.

So look like an easy option, I agreed. It seems to have solved the problem (fingers crossed), but now it seems that I need to format the hard drive.   I use a Mac, download Pocketmac to sync with my 8350i Curve.  Could not know how to change the automatic signature, so I plugged the 8350 to my PC with Desktop Manager, according to the instructions.  Sync cannot end with Pocketmac.  Is there a conflict between the two and delete the Desktop Manager in the BB?
