  Back up your device first
  If you know which contacts list has all of the contacts you want to synchronize with outlook here are the steps.

  I just bought a new blackberry curve and transferred my contacts from a Sony Ericsson. Their birthday information was transferred too but it doesn't have to sync my calendar or I can't set reminders in the contacts folder.

  Is there a way to sort this point or an app that actually works?

  If you have outlook e-mails, try syncing contacts from BB with your emails of office/computer laptop yo, then re - sync with your BB

  I just received a Bold 9700 and noticed that, even though I have the ability to synchronize the profile pictures of my friends with my contacts on the phone profiles, photos for my phone contacts remain blank.  Facebook profiles are related to my contacts and sometimes show the Facebook profile photo, but after a while the image is an icon of the Virgin again.  I also deselected the option synchronize and re-activated the option Update Blackberry contacts with my Facebook contacts to try to force the update photos, but without success.

  I thought it might also be due to a conflict wiyth other apps trying to update the contact photos because I initially imported all my contacts from my Gmail account, but I am unable to understand what other apps, if any, are updated photos contact and so to disable them.

  Blackberry contacts linked to a LinkedIn profile show their LinkedIn profile pictures correctly however and others that I only have BB Messenger, GTalk, Windows Live Messenger and Facebook that are related to my Blackberry contacts.

  Any ideas on how I can get pictures of my contacts to sync properly with Facebook?

  Hi I have a blackberry 9220. Whenever I have a single gmail contact appears in the list of contacts. However any contact that is backed up does not appear in 'gmail', I also other configured email on my phone, that none of them appear in the list of contacts while saving a new contact.

  Please help as Im unable to display one of my contacts on gmail.

  I have a BB Pearl 8100 and I transferred all the contacts from my PC (outlook) to the phone. All right, all the contacts were in the right order (whether if sorted by first or last name) BUT subsequently change the details of a contact (number or address) sometimes the contact is automatically moved in the wrong position (at the beginning of the list) and this situation does not change even if I change the mode of sorting or restart the device. Now my address book is made of two lists: one of A to Z and another from A to Z again.

  I'm under version 4.7.0.75 and sync with my macbook using Mark/Space software, and it seems to have found a serious error in the Blackberry OS. My phone dropped from contacts, and apparently the ones I use most, and when I enter a new contact it it duplicates automatically many times. If I replace the contacts of my computer, which should not, but none it throws an error. Yesterday I reset all my computer and complete timing information a soft reboot on the blackberry. When it restarted, he showed me this error "Exception Java.lang.NullPointer" of ideas? An update would fix this? It seems that I can't use any OS 'leak' since I use a mac.

  I found a solution on my own. It's kind of frustrating lack of communication and support of BlackBerry and Verizon on this issue. I'm frankly surprised by the lack of response of this (because I was moved without explanation) forum. Maybe I don't know the secret handshake.

  In any case, be an honest man and thinking that others may have the same problem, I thought I would post my solution.

  The Verizon store wanted me to clear my phone and start over, and I refused to accept it, then...

  I had to find a PC running windows and internet explore downgrade my software to the previous version 4.7.65, then re - sync using Mark/Space software, crushing my contacts. My next step is now to upgrade to 4.7.75 and see how it goes. But for now I'm happy to have my phone back and properly functioning.

  You can use the backup and restore feature to perform a backup of all data on your phone. When you return the device you can then restore back.

  This is my 5th day as a Blackberry user.  Everything goes well.  I put pictures of some of my contacts and I thought that when this contact called me their picture would appear but it doesn't.  Is there anything else I need to do?

  I know that some users with more than 10,000, with more 20 000.

  I don't have that many friends, only those close to the Marsh, perhaps count beavers, 12-15 at the most.
