BlackBerry Smartphones - could not be activated - activation very frustrated customer company!

Greetings.

Just bought a new 9720 but cannot get my operational emails. I have a plan through Virgin Mobile and according to their technical service, everything is as it should. Type in my Blackberry ID and password and the handset said contacting server however, that's how. Next message says the Blackberry Enterprise server has not responded to your activation request. An error has occurred.

What should I do now? Virgin are unable to solve the problem.

Why is it so difficult for an individual to set up the phone? Can someone help me solve the problem. Thank you

Thanks a lot for the info and the link. Phone is now running. Had tried similar this morning so assume that communication between Virgin & Blackberry server has now been resolved.

Very much appreciated.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones could not initialize the databases during synchronization of Blackberry Desktop Software

The said software "could not initialize the databases" and does not sync my BB.  This has happened for a week.  I reinstalled the Desktop software, reset to factory settings, restore a backup file, did a hard reboot by removing the battery, tried to synchronize an element (calendar, contacts, tasks, notes), at one time, updated BBM all to nothing does not... Help.

Looking at the synchronization log, he said this...

14:49:29.765 CRSyncUtil::BackupCacheDBs: error copy of the file 'C:\Documents and admin Local Settings Application Data is in Motion\BlackBerry Desktop\XCPCSync.OEM\SyncSDK.209.601\Data\4_65538_PR.tdc' to 'C:\Documents and admin Local Settings Application Data is in Motion\BlackBerry Desktop\XCPCSync.OEM\SyncSDK.209.601\Data\4_65538_PR.tdc.sav': 0 x 00000070 (there is not enough space on the disk.)

I looked at this file and at the time I started to get into trouble.  It was enormous... I have moved out of the directory and tried to re-sync.  It worked!

  • BlackBerry smartphones could not connect to the WiFi system at home - "unable to get an IP address.

Like many of you, I have WiFi connection problems with my new BB9700.

When I'm out of the House, I can see my BB, find local WiFI hotspots and I can connect to them immediately.

However, when I get home, my BB doesn't connect to my WiFi, return the following error message:

    Unable to connect

Reason: Could not obtain an IP address

I downloaded the latest version of the software BB (now running version 5.0.0.351), cold all started in view (router, telephone, coffee table and the cat) but still the same error. My foot pain, the cat is not about me and I still can't connect to the House! Of course, my carrier connection works perfectly like their outrageous fees structure... (They are 3G or Hutchinson Telecom under a different name).

My WiFi access provider (PCCW / HK Netvigator) checked my system configuration and report that everything works correctly. I can connect my PS3, my laptop, my Nokia E71 without any problem and the guy from the hotline can see when I connect each of them to the system.

I tried different combinations of switching the usual options on and off on the BB but always get a connection.

SO, any of you kind of people you have a solution other than the cat suddenly once again?

    Thanks in advance,

    RS. HK.

    Dear Mike,

    Step 3.

Delete the profile of my WiFi at home in the WiFi Options

    Step 4.

    BlackBerry Bold 9700

Reentry into the profile of my WiFi at home in WiFi Configuration

WiFi in the House. SUCCESS AT LAST!

    Step 5.

    BlackBerry Bold 9700

    Step 6.

Turn off the Blackberry Bold 9700.

    Battery pull.

    Restart the Blackberry Bold 9700.

The House immediately found of WiFi Internet and all other functions working perfectly.

Only problem is now my home network is unsecured. (Can't get the IP address if WEP security is enabled)

So it's all good now and forward it to someone else who has the same problem.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones could not load web pages

I had my blackberry for about 3 months and until recently, I was able to load and view web pages without any problems.   Now, after I have enter a Web page address and press return, I get a white screen with "Loading."... "on the bottom, and it stays like that without progessing.

I get that I'm at home with wireless homehub or elsewhere.

I think the problem started when I tried to access windows live messenger, so I don't know if this is the cause.  Can I have tried java activation for the site, and yet I do not know if this contributed to the problem.  I have restored the original settings to try to solve the problem, but this hasn't made all the difference.

My phone also displays the letters UMA near the signal indicator.  I don't know what it means and whether it can explain the problem.

I'm not particularly HE instructs, for if someone think that they know what could be the problem. and can explain it in a simple way that would be very useful.

Perhaps your service book for the browser has become corrupted.

    Follow these steps:

    1. options > advanced > host Routing Table > Menu > register.

2 send your service from your carrier's BIS site books.
    Of your handheld: http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB15402
    Your desktop PC: http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB02830

    3. with the BlackBerry device powered time, remove battery for a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to restart

If you still have problems, please after return.

UMA on your device (you are on Tmobile USA?) indicates you are enabled for UMA calling on your device.

  • BlackBerry Bold 9000 Blackberry Smartphones - could not load any software and unable to use the phone

    Hello

I have a blackberry bold 9000 and has been updated from the last app on this subject yesterday. Due to the low battrey my laptop turns off until the software has been installed to prperly. I tried the following:

    (1) to take the battrey and turn on the phone and tried to load the software again but that doesn't seem to work because the software does not recognize my phone it says unknown device.

    (2) I tried to use the option of updating the Web site, but also, which doesn't seem to work

The display shows the following message appears when turned on.

    The application's permissions:

The driving security application tries to access the information from the phone. I can't move the trackball on the appropriate option.

Not really sure if there is a way to solve this problem.

Help will be very appreciated. Thanks in advance.

    Concerning

    Ashish

    (1) make sure that you have Blackberry Desktop Manager installed.
    http://NA.BlackBerry.com/eng/services/desktop/
    (2) on your PC, go to start > run and copy and paste the following line exactly (i.e. with quotation marks):

    'c:\program files\common research in motion\apploader\loader.exe' /nojvm

    (3) the Application Loader Wizard will appear - click on "next".
    (4) in the ' connection: ' drop-down menu, you should see "USB - PIN: UNKNOWN". Click on the button "next".
    (5) you should see a list of applications ready to be installed for your Blackberry. Press Next and finish, and that you are well on your way to get your Blackberry to life.

Just unplug and let the process finish completely.

NOTE: If you do not display the list of applications mentioned in step 5 and instead to see the message "the Blackberry Desktop Software has no Blackberry Device Software for the device you have connected to the computer. Contact your wireless service provider or system administrator', then you must download the Blackberry operating system for your support and your device.
    http://www.BlackBerryFAQ.com/index.php/BlackBerry_Operating_System_Downloads
Just select the appropriate type of carrier and network, select your Blackberry model from the list and download the latest version. Install this download and follow the steps above again and you should be on the right track.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones could not update... stuck on 7.0.0

    Hello

My 9790 "BOLD" of BB's stuck on the build version 7.0.0.528 updated to 7.1 and 2254 seems impossible.

Have you tried the OTA, on the WEB (late), by BB Desktop (later), but nothing seems not to work.

Has anyone else had the same problem?
Have you found a solution or workaround?

I downloaded "9790M_PBr7.1.0_rel2039_PL9.16.0.158_A7.1.0.714_Vodafone_SFR.exe" for the page 'http://swdownloads.blackberry.com/Downloads'... but this work with any carrier? or will I then stuck with option and parameters SFR?

    Hello gari8aldi

Welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums

Your carrier may not have released 7.1 for your device, it may be the reason why you do not get the 7.1. But you can use any carrier OS pack or use that build that you downloaded you software update for the OS 7.1 device, it will not hit, but just one thing, you had to do before that. You have to remove one or two suppliers. XML files of your PC where you had installed this pack of operating system. As you have already downloaded this OS pack, you can try the steps below to perform the upgrade:

    1. find your carrier and download the OS you want from here and install on your PC or computer laptop carriers

    • (Make sure you download for the same model you have)
    • (Skip the step of downloading and just install it on your PC, as you mentioned that you had already downloaded this OS)

. Download and install the latest version of BlackBerry desktop from here BlackBerry desktop software software

    • Then using preconfigured desktop software do your full backup of your device.

    3. search your drive C: Vendor.xml and delete them, there may be one or two vendor.xml (on the change of your Pc as your records option to show the hidden files/folders):

    • C:\Program Files (x 86) \Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader
    • C:\Users\Windows UserName\AppData\Roaming\Research in Motion\BlackBerry\Loader XML

    4. go into C:\Program Files Research In Motion\AppLoader. (For Vista or Windows 7 64-bit, the path will be C: > Program Files x 86 > common files > Research In Motion > AppLoader) double-click on Loader.exe.

Upgrade will continue then after Installation of the new OS restore your BlackBerry Desktop backup

    Software.

Process is simple just make sure you remove these vendoe .xml files. So try it and tell us.

    Prince

  • BlackBerry Smartphones could not contact the customer service

I tried to contact customer service and I hit the proverbial block wall.  I need to talk to someone to get the PIN number on my daughter's blackberry.  It's a safety issue, and I can't go to the customer service.  She asks her ESN number and when I get it, I get an error message that is not valid.  I called both his phone and other attempint of mobile phone to get through without result.  Is there a number to get hold of a live person to explain the problem and the need for change?  If all goes well there's someone out there who can give me advice.

    Thank you!

    Lilbird

And if you intend to ask for the PIN for your daughter has changed, you can not.

Pins are hard coded to the device and cannot be changed.

  • BlackBerry smartphones could not receive files via bluetooth

    Hello

I just got the Blackberry Storm today and you try to transfer all my contacts etc from my old phone to my blackberry.

They recognize each other and connect momentarily then the blackberry stores my old phone

It is certainly my blackberry which tried the problem because I also send things on another phone just to check.

I tried all possible ways... I can think... peeling the two-way, connection, then sending... only said: "connection failure" on my Samsung.

Now, I'm stuck with what to do.

    Help, please!

    Thank you

  • BlackBerry Smartphones could not update BB 9000 "BOLD"

When I try to update using the latest desktop software, I get the error that I don't have an internet connection and need to check my network. I am connected to the network LAN and Wireless, but not the error. I've tried 3 - 4 times, but always make the same mistake. Someone help this soul has lost.

Do the upgrade manually using loader.exe instead of Desktop Manager, much safer AND easier in my opinion...

First find your operator and the system operating file that you want to use.
    http://NA.BlackBerry.com/eng/support/downloads/download_sites.jsp

    1. download the OS files to the PC then install on the PC by running (double click) the downloaded file.
    2. go in c:\program files Research in motion\apploader and delete the file named "vendor.xml."
    3. plug in the BB and double-click on "Loader.exe." It is located in the same place as the above vendor.xml file.

I downloaded several items include new themes and a set of air navigation. The files are located in my press card. When I try to open them, I get the statement, cannot view the file. My Blackberry is the 8330.

I'll guess that the files are Zip files.  You must extract them to your computer and install them using the loader Application from Desktop Manager.
