BlackBerry Smartphones Heellpp! Locking my Blackberry
Hello, I'm new to BlackBerry, and I want to know how to password lock my Blackberry Torch. I put a password, but I assumed that it did not close the phone when I pressed the lock button on the top of the BlackBerry. But, I have to select "Password lock" in the menu and then it is locked.
Is there anyway that I can make sure it locks when I press the botton of locking on top, instead of having to select it from the menu. Pleassee... I love this phone and I want everything to be perfect!
Hello and welcome to the community!
Nope - are you witnesses is WAD - working as designed. There should be a "Password Lock" screen icon who may be more quick than using the menu (depending on where you have this icon, of course).

I take a phone of my coleague who has left the company. For some reason, I can't able to connect on the phone. Firstly I didn't at first, the password of my coleague ex, I went online and changed the password. However, when I want to connect with my new password to unlock the phone, I have this message:
"You have exceeded the number of attempts to connect.
For security reasons, you have been locked for 15 minutes. "Click on forgotten password if you need create a new password.
But after 15 minutes and try again, the message... helpppp
You try the BlackBerryID, or the security password, on the device?
It looks like the BlackBerryID if you are locked out for 15 minutes.
A wrong entered security password would give you only a message something like «wrong password 2/10»
Then, to change the BBID of this device and make it 'your own' device, you'll need to do a wipe of the device security. This will delete all the data in personal, contacts, calendar, etc. and restore the State of the plant basically.
I've updated my blackberry 8520 and now lost my keyboard lock and also can't get my apps on my wifi but can be downloaded on my phone when out and about, can anyone help?
KB21380 - lock icon is missing from the start screen on the BlackBerry smartphone
I recently bought a Blackberry Priv and installation the Google account on this topic for a few days. Things worked well and have set up a scheme for the phone lock.
However, one night, the phone rebooted and I am unable to connect to the phone with the boss. I tried to reset the device via the Google Android Device Manager, but it says unable to communicate with the phone. From the looks of it the Priv is not connected to the internet (worked fine before). The phone is now displayed in the model to unlock the screen and so called ' emergency calls' and 'To launch Android, draw your pattern' but I am unable to connect using the previous model, I have set up.
Please notify. Thank you.
If you hold the power followed by typing Reboot. Do not REBOOT on your screen?
Hello. Is there a way around this headache? I forgot my BBID IDs I needed to purchase an app. As indicated, I opened a session on the Web site on my PC and reset my login and my password. Online, I can sign with no problem however my laptop seems to expect the old username and passoword so I keep getting locked. The only option seems to be a security wipe. Is there really no other way to change data BBID on my mobile? I'm not willing to risk a wipe of security that the phone is still usable. The application providers will lose out however that I can not connect to make purchases! Please HELP someonne!
If reset you, which means it's now a new BBID then, Yes, you will have to do a security wipe to use the new BBID. It will eventually catch up to you and you will need to perform the wipe. BBID is used to BlackBerry Protect, BBWorld, BBM and more. If you never remove the sim card and use another sim card, you will also need. There may be more that too I don't think off the coast of the hand.
My device is locked my password won't unlock it. Request to Enter 'blackberry to continue. What I'm doing. Said that the last attempt! Information will be erased in case of failure! I click OK. Reading the screen: enter the password (last attempt): I enter the password and it does not work.
1. what says Sudeep is incorrect. Once you have tried your final attempt to password, your device will wipe itself of all personal information, preferences, messages, calendar, address book, etc.. You will have a "cool" device
There is nothing "make" can do to save the device of a security wipe, or retrieve the information for wiping.
2. If you have had your password numbers, (e.g. 1234), try replacing, as in many cases, alpha character you press the ALT key to enter the number when you set up the password.
So a password '1234', it could in fact be "1st" do make sense?
I just bought a Blackberry 9800 in my company for his personal use. I find that that's what I think is called a "IT lock" on this subject. I can't remove the blocking the activation/deactivation is blocked. My company say that they can help the account is dead. How can I remove this lock feature? I get a letter from the company stating that I have the phobic quite legitimately.
I can't seem to access to all Blackberry at all that they would be able to help I know.
Can someone tell me how to unlock the phone or how to get I touch with someone to Blackberry who could do?
BBSAK well remove it too
my blackberry is locked and I can't unlock it
If post you your solution, it might help others in the future that same question.
Glad you're running.
My daughter (including BB is) downloaded a smiley face pattern unlock BB App World and entered a password but the app will not now recognize the password and if the handset is actually locked! Is there a way to get around this, like the restoration of factory settings?
You can try one of the following steps:
Type of incorrect passwords for 10 times and the unit will automatically be dragged to the default factory settings.
Otherwise, connect your device via USB cable to your laptop / desktop.
Now open BlackBerry Desktop Software (CD, which is given in the box, install this software first).
Once connected, restore your device to the default factory settings.
Since yesterday, I am owner of curve 8520.
I defined the device password, I'd remove it. However, when I go through the menu option "Password" the password "Enabled" field is colored light gray and small lock is displayed. I can't edit this field, no matter what I try.
Suggestions how to remove?
Comments are welcome!
The padlock icon shows your BlackBerry is required by the employer of your employer BES IT policy to have a password.
Is - this device on a company account?
I just upgraded my Storm to v.22.214.171.124 software and have noticed a really annoying problem with the locking function. Where previously, by pressing the lock at the top button to left of the phone would lock both the screen and four buttons and the bottom of the phone - I can now press the green call button, button disconnect red, "back" button and menu and they all unlock the phone allowing me access to the screen.
Someone else has had this problem after this upgrade, and is there a solution to solve?
See you soon
beer, there has been problems with the Vodafone after upgrade, here is a link on our forums.
Hope this helps you
I have recently supported a Blackberry Curve 8520 - I noticed that, once I had connected to my PC via Blackberry Desktop Manager, the icon for the keyboard lock has been removed from the menu. I looked in the obvious places in the Options to try to restore the icon but can't see anywhere that allow me to ths. I was also looking for hidden objects, but nothing seems more to be hidden.
Is it possible to restore the icon?
Thank you all.
You may update the software? The lock has changed in the latest versions of the software in all areas for the devices.
Hi, I can connect to my Blackberry account online, but my 8520 is locked to the screen "Please wait" in "Password Recovery".
His was related to Appworld - I removed the battery for 5 minutes. He put Appworld had then been removed from the phone; Once downloaded yet - all very good. See you soon.
I have downloaded a theme from blackberry app on my curve 8520, does what he's told and restarted when asked... but now my phone is locked and can not enter it... took the battery to see if there is no change, but there is no and now I don't know what please advise?
Boot into safe mode and to get rid of the app, here's how
So I have updated my curve to the new version 5. I noticed that there wasn't any more keyboard Lock/Password Lock. My previous software, it was named keyboard lock and I put it as one of my convenience keys. After the update, I noticed that he had ceased to exist. A friend of mine bought a new Curve 8520 with the update already installed of course. She had the locking of the keyboard, but he was named Password Lock instead. I have been looking for ways to get this feature to my Blackberry because I think it's more practical, rather than the button ' silent mode / mute "located on the top of my unit. The shortcut to lock my phone which is the 'A' on my keyboard quickly "locks" my keyboard only. I would like the feature set to be blocked if.
Any help would be appreciated! Thank you!
The keypad lock is the A"" key. To unlock press on and hold the Mute button on top of your Bay for at least half a second. If you set a password under Options/Security, a new padlock icon appears. This can be set to a touch of comfort.

I had a view for 2 years but he lost. I think to go with a rocket, because I read that it's better than the view and I barely used the video feature. Before I go buy a replacement mp3 player, I have a few questions: 1. I went through at least 5 pairs
