  I recently bought a Blackberry Priv and installation the Google account on this topic for a few days. Things worked well and have set up a scheme for the phone lock.

  However, one night, the phone rebooted and I am unable to connect to the phone with the boss. I tried to reset the device via the Google Android Device Manager, but it says unable to communicate with the phone. From the looks of it the Priv is not connected to the internet (worked fine before).   Hello. Is there a way around this headache? I forgot my BBID IDs I needed to purchase an app. As indicated, I opened a session on the Web site on my PC and reset my login and my password. Online, I can sign with no problem however my laptop seems to expect the old username and passoword so I keep getting locked. The only option seems to be a security wipe. Is there really no other way to change data BBID on my mobile? I'm not willing to risk a wipe of security that the phone is still usable. The application providers will lose out however that I can not connect to make purchases! Please HELP someonne!

  If reset you, which means it's now a new BBID then, Yes, you will have to do a security wipe to use the new BBID. It will eventually catch up to you and you will need to perform the wipe.  BBID is used to BlackBerry Protect, BBWorld, BBM and more. If you never remove the sim card and use another sim card, you will also need. There may be more that too I don't think off the coast of the hand.

  There is nothing "make" can do to save the device of a security wipe, or retrieve the information for wiping.

  2. If you have had your password numbers, (e.g. 1234), try replacing, as in many cases, alpha character you press the ALT key to enter the number when you set up the password.

  So a password '1234', it could in fact be "1st" do make sense?

  You can try one of the following steps:

  Type of incorrect passwords for 10 times and the unit will automatically be dragged to the default factory settings.

  The padlock icon shows your BlackBerry is required by the employer of your employer BES IT policy to have a password.

  I just upgraded my Storm to v.4.7.0.141 software and have noticed a really annoying problem with the locking function. Where previously, by pressing the lock at the top button to left of the phone would lock both the screen and four buttons and the bottom of the phone - I can now press the green call button, button disconnect red, "back" button and menu and they all unlock the phone allowing me access to the screen.

  Someone else has had this problem after this upgrade, and is there a solution to solve?

  I have recently supported a Blackberry Curve 8520 - I noticed that, once I had connected to my PC via Blackberry Desktop Manager, the icon for the keyboard lock has been removed from the menu.  I looked in the obvious places in the Options to try to restore the icon but can't see anywhere that allow me to ths.  I was also looking for hidden objects, but nothing seems more to be hidden.

  The keypad lock is the A"" key. To unlock press on and hold the Mute button on top of your Bay for at least half a second. If you set a password under Options/Security, a new padlock icon appears. This can be set to a touch of comfort.
