BlackBerry Smartphones Hey guys, quick question on restoration...

I currently have a blackberry pearl 8100 for tmobile. And I just bought a BB Curve 8320... that should happen some time next week... My question is... can I use my backups or present restorations on my bb curve? because I have a lot of text messages that I want to keep...

Make selective backup described here:

http://supportforums.BlackBerry.com/Rim/Board/message?board.ID=8100&view=by_date_ascending&message.i...

Back up only the information you need.

After that you can restore information from ipd file saved to your new device.

So I want to do a video that has 2 images inside. SECTION 1: contains an image and a red cross drawn on it. SECTION 2: has just the image and no incidents.

    using _global.lunchbox = 0; ID like her to change cross No. when _global.lunchbox = 1;

to be honest I don't even have a clue as to what the code is responsible for switching of a clip.

Please use simple English = D.

    Thank you.

Well then how to restore the original phone settings?

    Ah, that's a different issue.

  • BlackBerry smartphones, what will happen if I restore my OLD BB data in the new system of BB?

I'm planing to change my BB device, my BB Curve 9360 for BB Curve 9220.

My question is that if I backup that my old data from my Curve 9360 then restore it in the new one, BB Curve 9220 will I have my BB PIN remain the same as in my Curve 9360 ot I have to use a new one in the curve 9220?

Can I put the 9220 Curve with the latest OS from my BB Curve 9360?

Are there opportunities that I could use my old BB PIN in my BB Curve 9360 instead of the new?

Thank you: to vname in my Vns

If you bought a pin code customized for BBM you can keep that. However, the BlackBerry pin code does not change. There is a white label under the battery that has your PIN on it. No way to change that.

  • BlackBerry smartphones probably a silly question

I asked on another forum but really did not have a satisfactory answer. I hope that you guys will do a better job, even if it doesn't seem like a silly question.

When I looked at the screen with the 8900, Javelin, he said, and yet it's a curve. Why two names and what's really, a curve, a Javelin or step between the curve and the "BOLD"? And if it's a curve, why is it called a Javelin?

BlackBerry Curve 8900 2. aka Javelin.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Newbie with 2 questions, need help.

    Hi guys,.

hope you can help. I recently bought a BB Curve and think it's great.

However the LED stopped working. I turned off the unit and removed the battery. When I put it in the LED lights up red, so it must work. I checked my profile settings and all say that the LED must be on. I have changed this setting to disabled, backed up, and then put it back on and saved and still no action led.

The second question is attachments on my emails. I can't open attachments, photos, documents spreadsheets nothing. I use desktop re-Director. Is it possible to have attachments that are sent using this unit or any other bits of software? I have the only BB at work so I'm not so sure, establishment of a BB server is viable.

Your opinion would be greatly appreciated.

There is not all the configuration parameters for the Service of the attachment. The following table describes the supported types of attachments on a BlackBerry

    http://www.BlackBerry.com/BTSC/KB03265

By default the LED flashes green to indicate that you are in a wireless coverage area. I found it annoying and disabled. Check the setting under Options | Screen/keyboard and turn the LED coverage indicator inactive.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Dtek50 auto rotation question

    Hello community,

my old Dtek50 of a month, sometimes stops auto rotation toggle turn same auto is on. I checked the settings-accessibility - auto rotation... is on. Device settings-display-when is turned isn't properly adjusted on do rotate the contents of the screen. I did the test of the sensor with the expert virtual Blackberry and the sensor works very well. I tried with a game using the sensor and everything is ok. A simple reboot solves always... but it's a bit boring.

Last week, it happened twice. I noticed this problem after update from September.

Anyway, today I did a factory reset... I'll monitor the device without having to install the apps I use generally.

Has anyone else experienced this problem?

Auto rotation problem solved! As I said in my previous posts my sensor has worked well (and so I have is maybe a software problem, kernel?).. .so I tried a few apps from the game store: the only one who's really works: "auto rotation to lie down". For those who are facing the problem just install the app and give the requested permissions. Works like charm! Glad for not having sent the smartphone for repair!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones BBM (not a question of PEEM)

Yesterday I bought a Blackberry 3 G (9300) mobile. I have inserted my sim card from my iPhone and proceeded to add contacts, etc. I was then informed that I couldn't use the services of Blackberry without having a Blackberry bolt - on on my account. I bought this bolt on and I am still yet to be able to connect and use the services on the mobile such as Facebook or mobile web browser. My friend who is well-versed in BlackBerry told me that my phone was not downloading the service books correct to connect to these applications.

I currently use the phone with 3rd party Twitter applications (so I can connect to the internet).

My network provider is o2UK, I have a data plan and I also have a bolt blackberry we activated.

My internet settings under TCP IP are below:
    APN: payandgo.o2.co.uk
    APN username: payandgo
    APN password: password

In my view, that the question is registration of the device to obtain the correct service books.

Thanks to all those who can help you.

The bolt is active (it came as ready to use when I registered on the site Web of O2).

I have no idea what fixed my problem, but this morning the 3G logo on the top right of my phone has changed for a 3 g one (tiny g). I thought something was up, then I restarted the phone Mr. then I got a Blackberry message saying that my device was placed on the network.

I then had access to all the features of BB as FB and BBM.

Just display to help others in the future.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones an another Noob Question (re mp3)

Can I buy MP3s from Amazon or somewhere like that and put them on my Blackberry?  I'm confused whether the BB has a mp3 player.  Probably a stupid question, but thanks.

    Hello!

Here's a knockout who deals with BB-compatible media formats:

    http://www.BlackBerry.com/BTSC/search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=kc&externalId=KB05482

Indeed, the BB has a player - it should be the icon on your homescreen called "Media".

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Hi there, a question for a person to answer it please on the app store! :)

I was just wondering as I am only 16, how do you pay for the applications (which are not free, of course) of the store?

I have an iPhone and I'm sure most of you know that you can get prepaid cards to make purchases of applications.

Of course, I don't have a credit card, and I guess that's how make you payments? is there another way?

Would love to hear from someone about it!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones battery drains quickly

    Hello everyone.

One of our users has a Bold 9780 (OS 6.0.0.570 platform 6.6.0.212, which is the last of our carrier), and since a few weeks ago, it drains the battery very quickly. I mean, he cannot even stay alive for six hours in a State of absolute rest.

Very ofter the bb stucks with black, loading clock.

We tried the following solutions, and nobody has succeeded:

    • changed three different devices
    • the fourth device has been used successfully to another person, but with the end user, it has the usual problem
    • wiped a single device and put a new firmware
    • removed applications
    • the BES deleted account and then recreated
    • disabled the "cleaner memory" option - it has never been activated, however, but I saw this trick in the forums
    • Charger AC/DC has changed
    • change of SIM card
    • changed 3 batteries

I must say that I used his camera today, and with my account it behaves properly. My bb was given, as a test, to that person and it drains the battery.

I don't know what to do or what to try, because I changed everything I could. You have no idea, please?

    Thank you!

Got the fix: he was the module phone consuming a lot of CPU because of a damaged database. Complete the thread here.
