  What is a yellow mail icon?  If Yes, go to Messages.  Press the menu button and select "View saved Messages."  If there is nothing of unread in there, do the same thing and select "Show file" and check each folder until you find the message.

  I (now 2) incoming text messages icons on my screen that won't go away.  The messages are of the same person.  When I opened the message there is no text, but when I close it, the icon remains as if I did not open the message.  I deleted this person as a text contact conversation and others with her, from my phone and put his back as a contact.  I turned the phone market.

  I tried to delete the message by clicking on the screen of the app and tapping text messages and delete the empty message from there.  I went in the messages folder after the message and is not here, but still on the screen "unread".

  Tips to clear the message unread... try them in the order.

  If you have a new icon rogue Message on your home screen, or a negative number (-1), one of these solutions could erase or reset:

  Try these options:
  The main Messages folder and select today's date, click on the menu button and then select Mark prior opened.
  * Hard Reset BlackBerry now ALT CAP (right Shift key) and DEL (or with the BlackBerry power, remove the battery and reinsert the battery)
  Messages > saved Messages
  Messages > view folders, check each folder (calls, SMS and MMS, and boxes, saved missed boxes, browser, phone logs etc.)
  * Scroll at the top of the folder, on the title menu, click or tap to MARK PRIOR OPEN date
  Change your theme and see if it persists and return to your desired theme. (Options > theme > select.)
  * Connect to Desktop Manager > backup/restore > advanced. On the right pane is the list of the data on your device. Scroll to the e-mail highlighted messages database, and then below, select TRANSPARENT. This will clear your system of all messages.
  * Clean and reload your OS.

  Then revealed the individual options for SMS, Email, phone... etc.  I am able to click on whichever one I want change the ringtones, volume... etc.

  The 8220 is my first BB. I used to have the cingular 3125 smartphone and was one of the most important features for me to have my next appointment show on the home screen. Then would come the point upward (that is to say 15 minutes) I would hit reject and would show the next appointment.

  T Mobile BB technicians tell me that this option is available on all other BB, but they do not know how to activate it on the pearl flip 8220.

  There is an option in the SMS options to 'leave Messages on SIM card' - uncheck the box this and the memory of the device must have enough space to contain a few thousand messages - while the SIM card is limited to 20 or more.

  Earlier today, I noticed that I wasn't getting my Gmail pushed through my Storm.  I received an email about the storm at 1030 am (more or less), but that was the last the storm email received all day despite getting emails in my Gmail inbox that should have pushed through.

  My wife told me this afternoon that his curve was also failing to notify of emails, txt, BBmsg, Facebook etc.

  Then suddenly at around 920 pm tonight our phones started ringing like crazy.  I had 9 or 10 emails that end through, and she had a gazillion Facebook messages.

  I went through and deleted/marked as reading etc. because at that time, I had already read messages on my computer.  But, whereas a small after 1000 hours, the phone started going off again once and I got 7 'new' messages, everything that I had already deleted/marked as read on the handheld front only 40 minutes.

  I know that this is not a cause of the storm because like I said my wife curve he sees too much?  It's one thing to network?  What would cause such a shift in the thrust and more curiously, which would force the latter to send the same messages?

  It's just weird for me he started to happen out of the blue for us two.

  New to my BB Bold 9900 and, while I can set up my email accounts, I wonder if BB leaves a copy of the emails it sends to the phone on the server? I use multiple POP3 e-mail accounts and you want to keep a master copy of everything on my PC / Outlook.

  Is there a parameter / switch anywhere on the phone to do this?  I tried to send emails and they seem to be left on the server but nervous to configure all accounts without knowing how it works!  I don't want to sync between Outlook & "BOLD".

  So, as you can see on the chart in the link, POP3 do not reconcile "sent" emails on the server.

  And 'push' email is the RIM technology. Not 'pull' as the iPad. If you can just go 'get' your email at will.

  There are ways to work around the old... for your email, put a "automatically BCC" email BIS yous put in place, to yourself.

  Then, set a filter on the enamel of your self do not push unit.

  And then, in your Outlook, you set a rule on mail entering yourself to be deposited in your "sent" folder

I have 5 email accounts; and I want to choose those who and when to receive mail on their part.  With the BB I would like to set up my e-mail account, and then choose not that it is active, unless I have indicate that I want it to be active.  Is there a way I make reading email on an account inactive without deleting the account?    I don't want to go through the work of repeated configuration and deletion of accounts.

  The reason that I address email accounts active and inactive when I'm home, I want to read emails only about this and not go to BB.  However, when I'm on vacation, I would coming emails for BB. I get anywhere from 15 to 65 emails a day and you want to avoid additional costs for their management in two places.

  There is not a good solution for this. You are on a personal account of BIS, and your BlackBerry does what it was intended to do, and what made famous RIM-'push e-mail '.

  Your options are to delete the account and reset each time, or at all least in BIS email setup, check and uncheck the section "transfer the messages on the device.

  OK, there was no notification no read in real, request of Inbox or a friend at all.

  To be more clear on the steps of the application.
  Go to the Facebook icon (mine was in the home folder to start)
  Click the BB
  Select move to folder
  Select Applications (built into the Applications folder and the only one that seemed relevant to the situation)
  Navigate to the Applications folder in the Home menu and select
  Open Facebook here
  Close Facebook with arrow to the left
  Point on Facebook
  BB-press
  Select move to folder
  Select Home
  Find Facebook and move into the House as you want; inaccurate unreads should be gone

After I have updated to OS 6.0 I can send only messages SMS (messages with less than 160 characters). How can I send a text message with more than 160 characters? I could also do this on my curve before I bought the "BOLD". I sometimes send long text messages. I'm not talking emails or send PIN messages. I don't want text messages. I could do it before, I know. Thank you for your help.

  Its quite simple with OS 6.  Everything you do is compose a text message and in the menu select a photo and then send.  Also, you can select the photo, and in the menu click on 'Send' and he opens a submenu that gives you the option to send a 'text message' as well as other options like e-mail, etc., you then choose your contact and send it.

  Also when to send txt messages from long more than 160 characters, it will notify you that you send this sub form of MMS message.  I have messages typed on more than 160 characters long, and it sends it without any problem.  My previous BB have cut me to 160
