Is it possible to start the Voice Dialer when you press multifunction on a Bluetooth headset?  If Yes, where is the setting for that?

    Thanks in advance

OK I found this for me.  If you hold down the multifunction for 1 to 2 seconds (hard to time), you get to voice dialing interface.  BTW - don't know if it's my imagination, but the voice dial seems to be MUCH better than it was on the 9000 "BOLD":

    1. with a large number of contacts (more than 2500), it's much better at picking names

    2. the voice of confirmation is much clearer in pronouncing the names of return

BTW, I really love my 9800

  • BlackBerry Smartphones how can I do a factory reset without going into the blackberry software?

    Hello

My Blackberry Curve 8520 I just "App Error 523".

Whether the bust means that I have to do a FACTORY RESET, but I was wondering how to do this without using the Blackberry Desktop software?

I wonder if the blue keys inside Blackberry anything on this subject.

    What blue keys inside?

You'll need a Windows PC. Period.

    (1) make sure that you have Blackberry Desktop Manager installed.
    http://NA.BlackBerry.com/eng/services/desktop/
    (2) on your PC, go to start > run and copy and paste the following line exactly (i.e. with quotation marks):

    'c:\program files\common research in motion\apploader\loader.exe' /nojvm

    (3) the Application Loader Wizard will appear - click on "next".
    (4) in the ' connection: ' drop-down menu, you should see "USB - PIN: UNKNOWN". Click on the button "next".
    (5) you should see a list of applications ready to be installed for your Blackberry. Press Next and finish, and that you are well on your way to get your Blackberry to life. Congratulations! Just unplug and let the process finish completely.

NOTE: If you do not display the list of applications mentioned in step 5 and instead to see the message "the Blackberry Desktop Software has no Blackberry Device Software for the device you have connected to the computer. Contact your wireless service provider or system administrator', then you must download the Blackberry operating system for your support and your device.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones how can I find my Bluetooth passcode?

How can I find my Bluetooth passcode?

    That's what I found...

If the Bluetooth device does not have a keyboard (for example, a wireless headset), on your BlackBerry device, type the pairing passkey that appears on the compatible Bluetooth device or which is provided in the documentation that came with the Bluetooth compatible device. The password is usually a numeric or alphanumeric code.

    or

If the active Bluetooth device has a keyboard (for example, a laptop computer), enter a matching password of your choice on both devices.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones how can I change my signature & other texts on my outgoing emails sent from my mobile?

When I bought my Blackberry Torch 9800 (2 years), I managed (somehow) add text by giving my name, my 2 companies Web sites & so that it appears at the bottom of every outgoing e-mail.  At the same time, I've removed the text that says something like "message sent from my Blackberry".

Now I need to change the message (& also want to restore it's my Blackberry because it is what explains a brief answer when necessary.)

I don't think that I did all the settings on the mobile.  I think that this has been done "somehow" on my main computer.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones how can I turn on while Autotext as part of multi-tap?

Shortly after the storm, I set my default keyboard to multi-tap. I absolutely loved because I had the classics 'counted' keyboard, but was still able to have Suretype capabilities due to the AutoText function (the storm is my first BlackBerry and I can't get used to the Suretype keyboard for the life of me).

I don't know what I did today, but all of a sudden insertions disappeared and I have to spell words instead of just typing a few letters and by selecting the word. When I flip through this landscape, the AutoText works, but when I flip to portrait goes back to multi-tap. There is this weird icon in the top right corner that was never there before.

I went to 'options' to ensure that the AutoText is enabled (which is).

Does anyone know how to turn on automatic insertion in multi-tap mode?

    Any help would be appreciated!

I have discovered to get predictive text in any mode, you must follow this convoluted path:

Options > language > input Options > predictive input (check box).

When you switch between the styles of keyboard in portrait mode, it somehow goes back to mulitap, even though the predictive text box is enabled. So, anytime he spends modes, here I'll uncheck the box, save, check again, save, then go back to the text.

You must be in alphanumeric mode (or whatever mode you want) before you do, if that's where you want to use predictive text.
