  • BlackBerry Smartphones BES and BIS emails for display separation

Just bought a Bold 9000 (my first BB) and very disappointed that separation of BES and BIS emails is not a standard feature. BES can be displayed via the files of common messages that shows everything, including BIS emails/SMS/IM etc. BIS messages can be seen in their respective folder (i.e. yahoo/gmail)

There is a product like know empower (http://www.getempower.com/)is a PURCHASABLE third party product that is supposed to separate the mails, but it is certainly a good way to provide this functionality as part of your product that I won't have to sift through all of my emails and understand those who are BES/BIS.

Empower the BTW does not work on later versions of the o/s of BB and this means that the "BOLD" is assigned. Come on guys, the sort...! Either buy empower and integrate into your device where it can be updated with your resource ample or build something that focuses a bit more to the needs of the customer.

BES 4.1.5 gives you an option to separate BIS and BES mail. Also the sms/mms can be separated as well.

  • BlackBerry smartphone how to disable email automatic download?

I'm new to BB. Just got a Sprint Tour 9630. I have 5 email accounts; and I want to choose those who and when to receive mail on their part.  With the BB I would like to set up my e-mail account, and then choose not that it is active, unless I have indicate that I want it to be active.  Is there a way I make reading email on an account inactive without deleting the account?    I don't want to go through the work of repeated configuration and deletion of accounts.

The reason that I address email accounts active and inactive when I'm home, I want to read emails only about this and not go to BB.  However, when I'm on vacation, I would coming emails for BB. I get anywhere from 15 to 65 emails a day and you want to avoid additional costs for their management in two places.

    Yes, me too.

There is not a good solution for this. You are on a personal account of BIS, and your BlackBerry does what it was intended to do, and what made famous RIM-'push e-mail '.

Your options are to delete the account and reset each time, or at all least in BIS email setup, check and uncheck the section "transfer the messages on the device.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones how keep track emails btn Blackberry & Outlook?

    Hello

I am considering buying a Blackberry Curve (Sprint).  My hang up so far is that I want all my emails sent my Outlook on my computer at home.  So far, my solution was to use GoToMyPC so that I can connect to my PC at home from any computer and take care of my emails.  Also, I work mainly at home, so this isn't a huge problem in terms of convenience and efficiency.

Most people tell me that they themselves CC when they send an email of their Blackberry.  It's how they keep track of important emails sent from their Blackberry.  IS THERE ANOTHER WAY?  A MORE RELIABLE WAY?  IS THERE A WAY TO HAVE ALL EMAILS SYNC'D WITH OUTLOOK SYNCING (THEORETICALLY) MY BLACKBERRY WITH MY COMPUTER?  IF NOT, WHAT IS THE BEST WAY?

    Thanks in advance,

    Gary

I have 2 two e-mail addresses; is the address of my blackberry, and the other is my Outlook.  For the most part, I give my Outlook address so I could have on my PC at home, and when Isync it is there. Or, in the field if I inadvertently delete a message, I know that it will always be on my PC at home. I think your friend is correct. If she has the Blackberry

I hope this helps. It's pretty confusing

  • BlackBerry smartphone how to stop email account Gmail - but keep it registered for the calendar?

I have a secondary e-mail (Gmail) account that I use for my Google Calendar, so I need to save to maintain synchronized calendar on my Blackberry.

But I don't want emails from this account sent to my Blackberry.  (Emails from this account are already sent to my main account, so now I get double e-mails on my Blackberry which is irritating, especially since they come from different times.)

How can I stop my Blackberry to get e-mails from the account side, while keeping this one only for the calendar?

    Thanks for the tips!

BTW, I prefer not to rely on or to pay for an app of the add-on. I guess it's a feature of basic Blackberry that I just can't understand.  I have also tried my provider, Verizon, Web site, but found nothing relevant.

    OK, not difficult at all.

Set up your gmail account to push the BlackBerry, as it looks like you already have.

Now, back to the account setup BIS, where you entered your email and password for this account and click the FILTERS.

Choose notto transfer messages to the device. The change is saved automatically.

    Hello

I did a scan of security after the backup, then I restored my Blackbery Bold 9700 but I'm not able to activate my emails even after I type the password for the e-mail activation. all help will be greatly appreciated.

Call Fido and tell them you want to get set up on their site online of the BIS, http://fido.blackberry.com .  Once you have set up, you can add addresses email on your phone, delete them, validate the passwords for them, etc.  Whenever you have to make everything about the email addresses on your phone, you log it and take care of business yourself.

Give them a call for the resolution of this problem.

I hope that I helped you.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones how before SMS & Email to the Messages folder?

First time BB user, got the flick of BB8220 yesterday. Happy with the service so far.

The only concern I have is that the SMS messages I get are the SMS folder and not the folder of Messages, and it seems to me e-mail aren't either. A friend sent me 3 different messages (BB Messenger, Email, SMS) and 3 went 3 separate files.

Is it possible to have all messages, regardless of type/style, to filter automatically in the Messages folder? It would certainly help the organization time and money.

Hello and welcome to the Forums of Support BlackBerry.com.

    Yes.

You can have all three of those you mentioned go to your main messages folder.

First of all, for SMS. Open your main messages folder > Menu > Options > General Options > Email and SMS Inbox = combined, then SAVE.

Second for the BlackBerry Messenger > open BBMessenger > Menu > Options > show Conversations in message list = Yes, then SAVE.

    Good luck.

    Hi mohdfarhanakram

    Hi all

I hope this will help some of you out there. What I am about to show you will help you easily access your BIS tool for most of the major suppliers. If you are replacing an old appliance with a new blackberry, the link will update your PIN / IMEI automatically in the BIS tool. This will bypass also need to connect via the username / password.

    Common brands are:

    VZW (Verizon Wireless)

    TMobile (T-Mobile)

    Sprint (Sprint)

    Canadian:

Once you have done so, you will have full access to check, move the emails etc. You can move / check your emails in any simply hittings the move button next to your emails and entering your password to the E-Mail address.

From what I've seen it works absolutely any BlackBerry model.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones how often check-in BIS with Exchange?

Forgive me, I'm sure that this topic has been covered, but I can't find the white paper on it. I have a client who has many employees with blackberries, but they refuse to shell out money for a BES. So unfortunately, I can't support them with BIS. I thought I read somewhere on the check-in process, Exchange and having to re - validate the parameters via the device or the BIS Web site. So to put it simply, is attempts to BIS of consignment with Exchange and find nothing, how long before you have to go through the process of re-validation? Thank you all.

    Hello!

If I understand correctly, I think you have two subjects involved. My apologies if I get this is bad...

For all configured BIS email driven (no matter the IMAP, POP, or OWA), BIS controls to new items on the server every 15 minutes. If it finds new elements and pushes them to the HH, it checks then more quickly next time, gradually lengthen the intervals until it reaches the maximum interval of 15 minutes. Somewhere, I saw once. something about these shorter intervals and how they work, but it is safer to just go with the 15 minute interval.

That said, this has nothing to do with the credentials of OWA... These intervals are under the assumption that the OWA credentials stored within the BIS are valid. As long as the credentials are valid (every 15 minutes), BIS will continue conscientiously check every 15 minutes.

However, once the OWA credentials will expire, BIS will make its next attempt to connect to OWA and check back for new items. But, given that the OWA credentials have expired, BIS records this fact and flags of the account. See this KB for reference:

    •  KB10870 Not be able to receive e-mail messages from an account in Microsoft Outlook Web Access
    • Cause 2 discusses the OWA account becomes invalid (which is what will happen at the end of the password)

    Thus this KB:

    • KB05255 Associated e-mail account is no longer accessible by your BlackBerry Internet Service account

    Hope that helps!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones how can I change my signature & other texts on my outgoing emails sent from my mobile?

When I bought my Blackberry Torch 9800 (2 years), I managed (somehow) add text by giving my name, my 2 companies Web sites & so that it appears at the bottom of every outgoing e-mail.  At the same time, I've removed the text that says something like "message sent from my Blackberry".

Now I need to change the message (& also want to restore it's my Blackberry because it is what explains a brief answer when necessary.)

I don't think that I did all the settings on the mobile.  I think that this has been done "somehow" on my main computer.

    Any ideas?

With a strong carrier network (for example, not only WiFi), I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message from your BB... Please wait just before moving on to the next step):

    1) register HRT

    • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network
    • Please wait a 'registration' message reach your Messages application

    2) Remove and return Service books

    • KB05000 Remove the maintenance book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account in the BlackBerry smartphone
    • If you do not have access CMIME, continue deleting
    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service
    • Please wait "the Activation' Messages, one per already configured e-mail account, arrive in your Messages. If you have not already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.

    3) restart

    • With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot-~ 5 minutes...
    • See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

I hope that will move things again for you! If this isn't the case, then you should contact your mobile provider for formal support.

N ° of BB devices lack a complete email client on them. Instead, they depend on the BIS service to provide messaging functionality. BIS is active when you have also listed Internet/personal email where you currently see only Enterprise. All services of BIS, are sent to the device via data carrier network... contact them are therefore the right approach to discover why their network is no longer to deliver to you the services that you pay for.
