  I was playing with my Storm the weekend and decided to apply a password to the device. Now I can't turn it off and I hate that I am constantly asked for her. When I go to 'Options', then 'password' it has not the ability to disable the password feature. The toggle button at the top of the password page is soft gray with a tiny tiny red lock next to her and I can't click on the button. The only thing I can do is to change the password.   I solved my problem. I did a reset of the handset and that got rid of the option activate the password. However, when I did a backup of subsequent restoration of the handset, I was careful to choose only what I wanted really saved (address book, calendar, etc.). If oyu make a full backup that you will get the active password once you restore again.

  Hello, I'm new I the Board of Directors, the 8530 for sprint, I recently upgraded to 5.0.0.654 (1108).  When I did I don't have the ability to disable the password for my blackberry.  It is always enabled, there is grey.  It's my third blackberry and I don't have something like this happen to me before.

  Also just a background, it is my personal cell phone does not work, so I do not use company, I don't know what could have caused this... advice?

  Have not heard of that one before. The only way I know not at all reset back to default values without being on a BES is to use jl cmdr, or you try to run the resettofactory switch.

  If you want to try the latter. first back up the data on your device using the Desktop Manager software. Then follow the steps in this KB article

  The lock indicates that you have a policy on the device. If you are running a BES (according to companies)

  I want to just disable the password save dialogues while I save the screenshot.

  Another idea is to create a separate profile to Firefox for demos. It's a separate Firefox settings folder that is saved along with your main profile.

  A new profile will be your plugins installed by system (for example, Flash) and extensions (e.g., security suite toolbars), but no themes, other extensions or other customizations. It should also have databases of completely fresh settings and cool a cache folder.

  If you want to try it:

  Out of Firefox and start in the profile using Start Manager > Search box (or run):

  firefox.exe -P
  

  Do not delete anything here!

  Any time want to switch profiles, exit Firefox and return to this dialog box.

  Click on the button to create a profile, assign a name like Clean2015 and ignore the ability to move the profile folder. After you create the profile, select it and start Firefox in this profile.

  One of the advantages is that none of your history shows in this profile.

  When you return to the Profile Manager, you might be tempted to use the button to delete the profile. It's a little too easy to accidentally delete your 'real' profile, so I recommend you to resist the temptation. If you don't want to clean up later, I suggest to make a backup of all your profiles first in case something go wrong.

• Z10 blackBerry a way to disable the bluetooth handset and use activate streaming audio only?

  I use bluetooth in my car to make or receive phone calls and it only allows you to stream Pandora.  On my previous BBs, I was able to disable the handset function and just use streaming, but I'm not find similar options on the Z10.  Does anyone know how to do this? Right now I just turn off my stereo when I receive a call, but this isn't a good solution.  Thanks for any comments.

  Depending on your vehicle, you will need to access your Bluetooth set up or the settings in the dashboard of your car to control what features are Bluetooth-enabled.

  If you are referring to the security password to unlock your device, you will not be able to recover it or changed it. You will have 10 attempts to open it and then our device will perform a security wipe.

  If you are referring to your selection of the site password BIS forgotten password. You will receive a PIN message with your password.

  If your device does not work, use the attached link to get all the necessary information and then call your operator.

  Hi, I put a password to unlock my bb device. Three days ago a friend had the bb and tried to discover the password, he has tried 8 times. After that I tried to unlock the device by inserting the correct password but it doesn't recognize it. Now, I'm worried so lost all my data, casue I have not recently made a backup.   This right.  You must use the word blackberry to continue.  When you put the password again, it will appear as letters regular to avoid typos, etc.  Oonly you get 10 chances and the password is case-sensitive.  If the password has a number, remember to use the ALT key first.  I don't know if the number of password retries reset to 10 if do you a battery pull, but you can try.

  Hello.  I have a torch 9800.  I was texting last night and my password has worked well.  Then all of a sudden I couldn't connect.  I tried the SIM card in an another blackberry and it was fine.  ATT have me try a SIM unlock access code and it changed nothing.  I'm sure it's the phone, but don't know how to fix it.  I am to 8/10 unsuccessful login.   I saw that you can reset if it spends more than 10 (but will lose all your info).  How do reset you?  Thank you!

  It certainly looks like the user created password locking device... only it will work. It can be a subtle thing to use keyboard... alt, sym, caps, etc. Or the keyboard can be somehow not in the correct state. A batt pull reboot can reset the keyboard to a normal state by default and allows you to enter your password as usual. But, again, be careful... only 2 chances left.

  As I said, it is only useful if you've done it before... If you have never done before in this way, you know maybe actually not quite what the exact password characters are (according to alt, caps, sym, use etc.).

  After the failure of 10th, the BB will wipe clean, including the removal of the password. It will be like it was when you first received it... Nice and new, with nothing about all things created by the user at all.

  If this password has been defined by any other then there is no way to pass without entering the password. If this phone is your the and there the set password so if you enter 10 incorrect password (by default) it will wipe the device. So best offer is to enter the wrong password it will wipe the device and it will be like new.

  Options > Security > password.

  Hi everyone, I hope someone can help! I have BB Curve and upgraded to the new Facebook application including cat about 3 weeks - so far it has been important. Today, I tried to upload a photo and it froze completely during the download. I rebooted, BB was going well, but F/B app - restarted once more, still no change still frozen. In desperation, I went in the App World and uninstalled the app. I've now returned to my uninstalled apps, Facebook located, but there is no icon "Resettlement" to put to the top critics of the app I checked, half a dozen other users have also had the same question. Anyone know how I can reinstall? I checked my other uninstalled applications and they all have a button labeled 'reinstall' except F/B. Is it lost forever?

  I can't guarantee results with this method, but first go and make sure that your facebook app has indeed disappeared.  Then, the type of phone in www.blackberry.com/facebook browser and try to download from there.

  I myself have solved by entering incorrect identifiers express mail on my phone, it took me to the screen to create a new account, I proceeded to create a new dummy e-mail account and when I was finished he introduced me to a list of e-mail accounts, I could access then my valid email account and change the settings and changed the password!
