  • BlackBerry Smartphones Blackberry 9900 Bold startup screen 75% and white after.

    Hello forum!

    I have a problem with my Blackberry 9900 Bold. I have looked everywhere on the internet and found what my problem is: JVM errors. The only problem is that none of these solutions worked, solutions that have been published 4 to 2 years ago.

    Whenever I put in the battery and the phone turns on it loads up to about 75%, then apears white screen and stays like that for days. I tried to do an OS 7.0 to 7.1 upgrade, but after erasing data from the application loader when you try to start the JAVA virtual machine, it does not. I tried to connect to BBSAK, JL_CMDER and BBMCP, the only problem is that it is not connected, only for the application loader. Yes, I deleted Vendor.XML common files > Research In Motion. Every step that I found on the internet that it has been tested. My only question now is to obtain the identified BB JL_CMDER, BBSAK or BBMCP so that I can finally do a full erase.

    So please, dear forum users, if you have new information since 2013 I'm more than willing to test it and it works thankfully we.

    PROBLEM SOLVED!

    Correction problem of the white screen: use 9900_7_0Fast_Installers nuke the phone, then wipe it off. After that use your Application Loader after you delete the two files from the seller (there are thousands of threads on the files of the Application Loader and the seller).

    Here are the steps, if you have any other questions which answers are not yet available on the internet, feel free to reply to this message.

    See you soon!

  • BlackBerry smartphone on the Blackberry 9900 Photo

    Hello

    I have lots of photos on my blackberry 9900. I just dropped it and broke the screen but still works. It was a wake-up call that's all really to make me pass my photos somewhere before I lose them!

    However when I connect my blackberry to my computer via a USB port only some of the photo are available for open - they all transfer, but when I try and open the most recent, he said only: they are too big or corrupt.

    However, I can still view them on the phone and I can e-mail them to myself. I'd rather not do that if there are loads!

    Alexandra suggestions on why what is happening and if there is a solution would be very warmly reeceived.

    Thank you very much.

    These photos are saved in the memory of your device OR on the press card?

    If in the device memory, you can move them to your card.

    Good afternoon.

    I just bought the blackberry 9900, which I am very happy with. Today, I installed wisepilot, a navigation satellite. To save the data to use, I can download my maps of United Kingdom SD card which is about 100 MB. The obvious option is wifi.  That's where my problem begins when I go to maps to download, I get the message wifi. is recommended for download. When I go to the next, I get the message, you are using currently 3g you want to move forward. This message indicates that I have turned on wifi. I also tried to turn off the data with always on wifi. Any advice would be much appreciated.  I only got on the phone yesterday please bear with me!

    Thank you.

    Looks like can I have drawn a blank, but I can I resolved myself! But he has shown the ability to download on 3g when I accepted this option, it finally download by WiFi. So, all sorted now. Thank you

  • Battery blackBerry 9900 Smartphones worsens to 50% after upgrade of 2406

    My battery life Bold 9900 worsened considerably after the recent OS 7.0 Bundle 2406 set to level. I had previously struggled to spend the day on a battery, but in general, I could do it for a day and business general use of electronic mail, of limited calls and not Web browsing. Now, after the recent 2406 upgrade, I get only about 50% as much battery life. In addition, the black box of the small Center with white rotating second hand is now a function that comes back regularly throughout the day, and I had to remove my battery to restart my BlackBerry much more often. I've since removed all applications, cut back on all the other battery draining features (screen brightness, wifi, Bluetooth, gps, etc), moved to 2G to extend my battery life. I was already unhappy with the bad battery BlackBerry Bold 9900 life, but after this last update, it is unacceptable for a professional use when it only works for 1/2 day. I hope it's a question of battery RIM known for Bold 9900 that is processed quickly. Otherwise, I am one of the many who will have to move to a more acceptable solution for phone smart business in a perspective of battery life. Thank you.

    Well, I have implemented battery BlackBerry 9900 technical of economy in this forum, and to my surprise, he solved all much more than I expected. My last load battery Bold 9900 lasted 6 days/86 hours (compared to less than 1/2 day) during normal use of business and weekend for the phone calls, emails, texts and the bbm, exclusion using the internet or applications. I moved 2 G + 3 g to 2G only, off all the apps (especially GPS, Google sync and social networks), turned down the brightness of my screen and shorten the waiting time, calendar, disabled wifi and bluetooth, etc. Thanks for all the comments in the forum. They worked. Now I will be slowly adding some applications and using 3 G on the internet once again, and I will more closely control my battery drain in the future.

  • BlackBerry 9900 touch event not firing

    Hey,.

    I am new to the BlackBerry development and need help. I use a BlackBerry 9900 to test.

    I have a single screen in my application that has several buttons. It reacts to the touch of the events if the button is highlighted.

    Here is my code:

    HorizontalFieldManager hfmRow = new HorizontalFieldManager();

    _firstButton = new ButtonField("First");
    _secondButton = new ButtonField("Second");
    _thirdButton = new ButtonField("Third");
    _fourthButton = new ButtonField("Fourth");
    _fifthButton = new ButtonField("Fifth");

    hfmRow.add(_firstButton);
    hfmRow.add(_secondButton);
    hfmRow.add(_thirdButton);
    hfmRow.add(_fourthButton);

    add(hfmRow);
    add(_fifthRow);

    Try the following - replace / / perform a treatment with what you want on click

    _firstButton = new ButtonField("First"); _secondButton = new ButtonField("Second"); _thirdButton = new ButtonField("Third"); _fourthButton = new ButtonField("Fourth"); _fifthButton = new ButtonField("Fifth");

    HorizontalFieldManager hfmRow = new HorizontalFieldManager(){protected boolean touchEvent(TouchEvent message) {        int x = message.getX(1);        int y = message.getY(1); if (_firstButton.getExtent().contains(x, y)) {          //Do processing          return true;}else if (_secondButton.getExtent().contains(x, y)) {          //Do processing          return true;}else if (_thirdButton.getExtent().contains(x, y)) {          //Do processing          return true;}else if (_fourthButton.getExtent().contains(x, y)) {          //Do processing          return true;}else if (_fifthButton.getExtent().contains(x, y)) {          //Do processing          return true;}else{ return super.touchEvent(message);}}}; hfmRow.add(_firstButton); hfmRow.add(_secondButton); hfmRow.add(_thirdButton); hfmRow.add(_fourthButton);hfmRow.add(_fifthButton); add(hfmRow); add(_fifthRow);

  • Smartphones blackBerry 9900 data Plan does not work!

    Hi, new here, great site!

    I'm from Canada, with Koodo and bought a unlocked 9900 opportunity, my neighbor via a Classifieds site, and as much as I know it was his business phone.
    I wiped it it clean and improved the operating system to 7.01

    I noticed that the previous service logo remains still (Rogers) during boot-up/shutdown, hmm, OK whatever he is working with Koodo.

    I called Koodo to allow data, but nothing works. I called them and they told me to enter "bb.koodo.com" in the APN field with no username and password. Then to save the host Routing Table (he told me that he registered very well) but I did not receive a message. Also, we have removed battery and tried everything again. It still does not.

    It is H + at the top right of the screen, but who has always been there.

    She said that maybe the phone was restriction IP since I bought it used, and maybe BB Swiss Army tool could help me get off, but she didn't know how. So I downloaded and pushed some buttons (more precisely remove COD) and really messed up my phone... lol

    Just reinstalled OS7.01 once again and fortunately had a fairly recent backup.

    Suggestions for making data work, or do I need a new phone?

    Hello and welcome to the community!

    Let's start there, because who can be tricky depending on what exactly is meant by "business phone". Reference:

    • Article ID: KB05099 Steps to take before selling or after the purchase of a used BlackBerry smartphone

    Many of the steps can only be carried out by the seller... for example, if the prior carrier still has a BIS account allocated to that specific device, so no other carrier will be able to create a BIS account for her, and a BIS account is required to use wisely. As a general rule, a carrier will come out only the BB from the account when the real account holder made the request... and you will not if this situation applies.

    In addition, if the device has been activated BES, you need to follow additional steps. Reference:

    • Article ID: KB30076 How to check for an it on a BlackBerry smartphone policy

    If there is an IT strategy, then there are a special method, you need to remove it, but it will be successful if the BES server, to which the device has been set already has the removed feature of it... you may need to ask the previous owner about it. If this BES server was deleted, you can use this method to clean up the it policy:

    • Article ID: KB31291 How to reset a BlackBerry smartphone to factory using BlackBerry Desktop Software Settings

    It is necessary to use this exact method... refer:

    • Article ID: KB16307 Actions performed by the BlackBerry smartphone during the removal of the user stored and application data

    Now, with all these preliminaries of the road...

    Serious9900 wrote:

    As you guessed, it's irrelevant. BBs are still originally designed for a specific carrier... and some of these contractual carriers with BB to place a splash screen of starting the device ROM, that can never be changed. But, it does nothing other that that unit was built for this carrier... but as long as all other things correctly, it is not serious at all.

    But, to be clear, when you say "it works on Koodo", I guess that's your voice services? And are all now, you must operate your data services? If telephone services do not work correctly on Koodo, then it is useless trying to get data services going.

    But now say you "nothing works"... should I continue to assume this are information specific to the data, and that telephone services continue to operate properly on Koodo? Sorry for being blunt, but clarity is critical or waste us time on unnecessary things.

    When you say "he told me that he registered very well", which means exactly please? This means that he said something like 'Check pending', 'Record sent' or some other message popup? Once again, here the clarity is critical. If that's what you saw, then indeed it is not registered correctly. Rather, he made the application very well... but until the enrollment message arrives in the Messages application, then the intervention is required since the data network of the carrier did not and until it nothing for the data will be working.

    Upper case H +? Once again, just double check, since if she was tiny, that it would mean something completely different from that of capital letters. Top of case, this is what it must be.

    Serious9900 wrote:

    I don't know what she thought about it. May be restriction of BES and if the above process I gave you can purify that.

    Never good to a few buttons when you don't know what you do... I don't remember if BBSAK is able to remove political or not, but it can do a very good cleaning.

    Serious9900 wrote:

    And that could be part of your problems. If, for example, the device has one IT political edge, while part of a full process... which means that even if you happen to clean off, a complete restoration simply will return to the instrument, turning to your right back to where you started backup/restore. Instead, to do only a partial backup or restore, and more precisely to avoid data bases that have to do with THIS, political, business or something similar... the conservative approach is to only to backup/restore of critical databases you need (for example, contacts, calendar) and manually reconfigure the rest. Remove a policy is a tricky thing.

    I think you have enough to start on top. Another question about whether Koodo, however, is if their network is configured to auto-fill your specific with entries HRT device model and service book. If their network is not, while actually explains everything. No carriers configure their network to support all models of BB... each one chooses a subset of the model numbers of BB and configure their network accordingly. But trying to use a model number BB on a carrier network that is NOT configured for this model results in number exactly what you live... their network will not automatically grow some HRT and SB entries on your device because their network does not recognize your device as a model BB number taken in charge.

    Looking at a reference that I can find, it seems that Koodo is configured for the 9360, 9300, 8530 and 9790. But not for the 9900. Now, is that with a proverbial grain of salt... that reference does not necessarily mean that the network of Koodo is not configured for the 9900, it's just an indicator that is not. Koodo can only tell you that answer for you.

    Good luck and let us know!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones BlackBerry 9900 sending does not BBM Z10 and Q10

    Most of my colleagues use Q10 BB or BB Z10 and I have BB bold 9900, but I can't send them BBM I can receive their BBM. Help, please!

    Hello

    Thanks for the confirmation!

    Regarding your question, there is already a Knowledge Base article that is associated with this error:

    KB34245 : A checkbox, and then a red x appears when a BlackBerry smartphone running BlackBerry Device Software 5.0 or BlackBerry 6 to 7 sends a message to a smartphone BlackBerry 10 via BlackBerry Messenger 7.0.1.23

    In my opinion # Workaround seems to be a little hard.  So I prefer you should first try to reinstall the BlackBerry Messenger application and see if it helps with your current problem.

    To make your homescreen go to Options > device > application > locate and delete BlackBerry Messenger from this list.

    KB10040 : How to view or delete the application installed on a blackberry smartphone

    Deleted once perform a battery pull reboot by removing the battery while your device is turned on, wait a min. and then reinsert this return.

    Finally, after the reboot, use your BlackBerry browser and go to www.blackberry.com/bbmdownload and download the most recent version available. After installation, restart your device once more, connecting with your BlackBerry ID and check if you are able to send BBM to one of these devices.

    Please try it and let us know of your progress.

    Hello and welcome to the community!

    I recommend that you try to start safe mode:

    • KB17877 How to start a smartphone BlackBerry in Mode safe

    It will take several attempts to get the combination of keys ESC (press/release/hold) OK, so be patient. When properly in Safe Mode, see what happens.

    If the behavior continues, then well... think what happened just before this behavior started? A new application? An update? A theme? Something else? Think carefully that the slightest change can be causal... and try to undo all that was.

    But if the behavior continues mode without failure, you may need to consider more drastic measures - WIPE, OS Reload, BBSAK Wipe/Reload and the process of reloading OS 'skeleton '. To prepare, you should be sure that you have a full backup of your PC... Please see the Backup link in my sig auto on this post for instructions.
